Legendary Broken Player - VRMMORPG

Chapter 876 - 876 - From Depths to Penthouses

Their journey across the sea stretched on, and like the voyages before it, the ocean never failed to deliver its strange and awe-inspiring spectacles.

Massive creatures drifted or surged around them—monstrous sea serpents, flying whales, and other breathtaking leviathans that defied logic and stirred a quiet sense of awe among the crew. The sea felt alive in a way few places did. Wild. Unpredictable. Vast.

But this time, the voyage was smoother than any they’d taken before.

A large part of that was Tirien.

The merfolk warrior was often seen on deck, keeping a quiet watch over the waves. Occasionally, he’d dive beneath the surface without warning, vanishing for hours before surfacing again without a word. No one knew exactly what he was doing down there, but whatever it was… it kept their path clear. Almost blessed.

With his guidance, the crew took to sea hunting, confirming with Tirien which creatures were fair game. Surprisingly, it turned profitable. Though surrounded by beasts, most were of moderate level—manageable to hunt, and valuable for supplies and trade. It gave the crew something to do and a way to keep their skills sharp.

Still, Tirien never strayed from his role.

He remained a guardian—silent, focused, never asking questions or offering much beyond what was necessary. He followed them, guided them, and that was all. No one knew where this route would ultimately lead, not even him.

They were deep in the open sea now, where the horizon never changed and anything could happen. Broken had long since given up trying to predict what the ocean might throw at them next.

He’d seen too much in too short a time.

And just like that, two whole months passed in Yunatea time—a slow, drifting tide of days and nights that blurred together.

Broken stood at the bow one evening, wind brushing his face, the ocean whispering endlessly around him.

He let out a long breath.

He missed Alora. And their children. Deeply.

Leon stepped out of the capsule device with a deep breath, stretching his arms with a wide grin. He couldn’t hide the excitement buzzing inside him.

Finally.

After nearly eleven months of staying in the hotel suite provided by Golden Age Company, the time had come. His new home—their new building—was finally ready.

“Who would’ve thought,” he murmured to himself with a small laugh.

Though the company had generously offered him a full year of accommodation, he was wrapping things up early. With just under twenty days left on the timeline, he was about to move out.

As he stepped out of his room, he found King standing in the center of the lounge, already dressed neatly, offering a small bow with his usual calm smile.

“Everything has been moved to the new place, Leon,” King said. “Including the home bus. You’re the last one still here.”

Leon chuckled softly. “Well, don’t worry. I’m ready too.”

He gave the room one last glance, walking through to check his personal things. Just a few quick sweeps to make sure he wasn’t forgetting anything. “Has Lily moved already?” he asked while walking toward the door.

King nodded, walking with him as they exited the suite. Leon paused at the threshold, placing his hand on the frame and sighing quietly. “Bye… and thanks, for letting me stay here nearly a year.”

As they made their way toward the elevator, King replied, “Yes. Lily’s already at the new place.”

Once inside the lift, King continued with a faint smile. “I’ve brought my wife and daughter as well.”

Leon grinned. “That’s good to hear, King. I’m glad.”

King hesitated for a moment, then asked, “But are you sure about this, Leon? I mean… this place was meant to be your private residence.”

“No worries,” Leon said casually. “You know how big that building is. I’m sure Freya’s already arranged for some staff to keep everything running. I doubt I’ll feel crowded.”

King nodded, reassured. “Yes. Freya’s already provided me with the full task list. You don’t have to worry about anything. Just tell me what you need.”

Leon chuckled. “I almost feel like I’m not doing anything at all.” T-h@is! c@h!ap$t#er& was u$p$load%e!d by the t.e$a!m at M|V@L$EM@P$YR^.

King glanced at him and smiled. “How could you say that? None of this would’ve happened without your efforts in the game.”

Leon exhaled, eyes lifting toward the soft glow of the elevator ceiling.

“…Yeah. I guess that’s true.”

Leon and King stepped out of the Northstar EV in the basement parking level. The soft echo of their footsteps filled the quiet, polished space, and Leon allowed himself a small, satisfied smile.

He had his own basement parking now. Spacious. Clean. Private.

Well, almost.

A few other cars were parked there too—one sleek and unmistakably belonging to Freya, and a couple more for the building staff still finishing up the last details of the construction.

They walked together toward the elevator, and as they approached the VIP lift, King gestured to the panel. He stepped forward, letting the facial scanner read his features, then motioned for Leon to do the same. A soft chime followed, and the elevator doors slid open.

“The top two floors,” King said as they entered, “can only be accessed by you, Lily, Freya, and myself, Leon.”

Leon nodded slowly, taking it in.

“For the staff maintaining those floors, they’ll use the emergency stairwell. All their movements are tracked, and everything is under constant surveillance through the building’s security systems,” King continued, his tone precise and confident.

Leon let out a low whistle. “Security’s really tight, huh? I guess Freya really went overboard in making sure everything’s airtight.”

“She’s used to managing large estates,” King replied. “I think that has something to do with it.”

“Yeah,” Leon said with a smirk. “She’s also used to spending a lot of money.”

They both laughed at that.

As the elevator doors opened, they were greeted by a flood of warm light and elegance.

The space was stunning—a perfect blend of brightness and luxury, with high ceilings, wide windows, and a modern touch that still felt lived-in. Lily and Freya stood in the center, waving as they approached.

Leon took a slow, deep breath, his eyes trailing over the beautiful layout, the elegant furniture, the shimmering lights above. This was really his home now.

He still couldn’t quite believe it.

“Welcome to your new home, Leon,” Freya said with a soft laugh.

“Leon… come in!” Lily called warmly.

Without hesitation, Leon stepped forward and dropped himself onto the massive sofa in the center of the room. The moment his body hit the cushions, he melted into them. The comfort wrapped around him like a hug—plush, supportive, and sinfully soft.

“How much money, Freya…” he muttered, eyes still closed, not daring to peek at the endless financial reports she sent him with obsessive precision.

“Don’t worry,” Freya responded playfully. “There’s still more than enough left to add even more features to the building.”

Leon groaned. “You’ll be responsible if I end up broke again.”

“No need to worry,” she said. “You could always sell the building. Or—at the very least—you’ve got a stockpile of Legendary items in your inventory, right? Sell a few of those and boom—another luxury tower just like this one.”

She gave him a teasing grin.

Leon just sank deeper into the sofa, half-laughing, half-crying inside.

Luxury, stress, and sarcasm—his new home had it all.

Just as the laughter was beginning to settle into a calm, comfortable silence, Lily’s device chimed softly—an incoming call. Her expression shifted almost instantly. Without a word, she stepped away from the group, her voice quiet as she answered.

Leon watched her, curious but not alarmed… at first.

A minute later, she returned—eyes wide, breath a little faster—and looked directly at him.

“Lily?” he said, sitting up slightly. “What is it?”

She turned fully toward him, voice steady but urgent. “Leon… they’ve found it.”

He blinked. “Found… what?”

“The island.”

His body tensed. Then he shot upright.

“What?!” he snapped. “The floating island?!”
