Chapter 1904: Chapter 1914: Was the Car Accident Really an Accident?
From the airport to the hospital, it’s still half an hour’s drive, and Bobby kept asking about Adam Sinclair along the way.
Scott Harris told him everything he knew.
Sitting in his seat, he turned his clever eyes, basically confirming that Adam was not pretending to have a car accident just for Olivia’s visit.
When the car stopped at the hospital entrance, Bobby fussed about buying some fruits, then headed to the VIP hospital room.
Adam Sinclair’s ward was on the third floor, and the security arrangements were very well-organized.
The Sinclair family’s bodyguards knew Baron Lawrence, astutely letting them enter without hindrance.
"Knock knock."
"Come in."
Scott Harris pushed open the door, letting Baron Lawrence and Bobby enter first, then followed them in.
Olivia Lewis was holding a notebook, sitting on the sofa, while Adam sat on the hospital bed, looking helpless.
The air was thick with an unusual atmosphere.
Bobby blinked and first called out to Olivia, "Auntie Olivia."
"Bobby?!" Olivia was surprised but delighted to see him, "Why are you here? Where’s Enna?"
"She doesn’t know we’ve come back yet." Bobby handed the fruit he bought to Olivia, saying, "Auntie Olivia, here you go."
A trace of helplessness flashed across Adam’s eyes.
He’s the patient, right? Even when visiting a patient, it should be him they visit, yet Bobby bought fruits and handed them to Olivia, clearly to give her moral support.
However...
The corners of Adam’s mouth still curved up indulgently.
After Bobby handed the fruits to Olivia, he walked over to the bedside to check on him, said a few flattering words, and was then taken out by Olivia to buy some things.
For a moment, only four people were left in the hospital room.
Scott Harris and Adam’s secretary were both pretending not to exist.
Baron Lawrence glanced at the man on the hospital bed and sat casually on a couch nearby, asking, "What’s going on? How did the car accident happen?"
"Just an accident, the car accidentally hit a violating truck while turning, and then the car accident happened." Adam stated calmly.
Baron Lawrence glanced at him, furrowing his brows, his handsome face full of impatience, "An accident? There’s no such thing as so many accidents in this world?"
Especially in their circle, whenever something is called an accident, it indicates that it’s not an accident!
Adam’s eyes narrowed slightly, shaking his head and said, "I’ve already had someone check it out, the violating driver has been found, and according to the police officer’s testimony, the driver admitted he met a friend in the morning, had two drinks, and the operation error caused by drunk driving. He mistook the brake for the accelerator, and that’s why he crashed."
"Do you believe that?"
Of course, Adam didn’t believe it, "So I had someone investigate, and it turns out the man did meet a high school classmate that morning, and they did go to a restaurant and drank a bottle of white liquor. So I also can’t be sure if it’s a coincidence."
Baron Lawrence’s brows furrowed tightly, his intuition told him that the chance of coincidence was small. But Adam also investigated, and the results indeed showed it was a coincidence.
Adam paused before continuing, "That mother and son duo over there can’t wait anymore. They’ve waited so many years, and that woman has long been eager to have a public identity. Ha, she thinks too much. She thinks that with just the bit of false feelings with my dad, she can rise in status? How ridiculous. A secretary is just a secretary, and will be a secretary for life. Such a simple truth, yet she hasn’t understood it after so long."
