Chapter 1916 - 1926: Returning to the Street Stall Where We Once Bought Clothes
Chapter 1916: Chapter 1926: Returning to the Street Stall Where We Once Bought Clothes
Enna Clark’s fingertips trembled slightly, and her clear, black-and-white eyes suddenly looked at the man beside her. She wanted to ask, but was afraid that the outcome wouldn’t be what she hoped for, leading to disappointment.
While she was hesitating, she was already dragged into the third store on the street.
The shops on this pedestrian street sell clothes worn by students from the nearby University. The prices are cheap, and the styles, well, they’re those unbranded ones you can’t really name.
However, with the advancement of the Internet, the styles in the store were still quite varied, with many imitating branded designs.
Although the tailoring and fabric couldn’t compare with big brands, they still looked trendy and nice.
The boss lady was still the same boss lady. Seeing customers enter, she immediately approached with a smile, "Are you two buying clothes? Is it for the handsome guy or the beautiful woman?"
Her heavily made-up eyes took a glance at Baron Lawrence’s face and asked confusedly, "Handsome Guy, have you been to our store before? You look really familiar to me."
Although handsome people tend to look similar, someone as strikingly handsome as this still left an impression on her.
She felt she had seen him before but wasn’t sure.
As for Enna Clark... she didn’t recognize her at all.
"I’ve been here before." Baron Lawrence was in a good mood, surprisingly answering her.
The boss lady immediately beamed with joy, "I knew I’d seen you here before. So you really did buy clothes from our store. So, is the handsome guy buying clothes today too?"
"You’ve come at the right time. I just restocked yesterday, and there’s a few pieces that would look especially good on you. I guarantee they’ll look great!"
With Baron Lawrence’s model-like height and figure, he could make even a rag look stylish. Whatever he wore would be hard not to look good.
Enna Clark thought this but didn’t say it out loud.
Baron Lawrence had already pulled her over to the section dedicated to couple’s clothing, pointing at a row of flamboyant t-shirts, he asked her, "How about this one?"
Enna Clark glanced in the direction he pointed and was immediately dazzled by the flashy designs of the t-shirts.
On a perfectly good white t-shirt, there was a line of English printed: will you marry me?
And on the one next to it: yes, I do.
This childish English dialogue was one thing, but the t-shirts also had two cartoon figures printed on them. Although the cartoon couple looked pretty, it was hard to imagine how they’d look when worn.
Baron Lawrence, however, seemed to like it a lot and turned his head to tell the boss lady, "Take down those two t-shirts."
Enna Clark quickly pulled him back, "You’re not even buying, why take them down?"
"Who said I’m not buying?" Baron Lawrence glanced at her, his dark eyes earnest, "I’m buying them."
Boom.
The nerves in Enna Clark’s brain were about to explode.
He’s buying them?
Is he really going to wear them?
Wear a t-shirt saying ’will you marry me’ out, the kind with cartoon characters printed on a showy couple’s t-shirt?
Isn’t he afraid of being recognized and photographed, then mocked online?
Before Enna Clark could recover from her shock, she heard the man’s strong and overbearing voice above her, "You’re wearing it too."
"We’ll be wearing them when we go shopping later."
Enna Clark, "..."
The fact that they were willing to buy was undoubtedly good news for the boss lady, who couldn’t stop smiling while retrieving the items, saying, "The handsome guy has a great eye. These t-shirts are our best sellers. Many college student couples come here to buy couple t-shirts, and this is the best looking one."
