Then, an instant later, an eternity of suffering began, Jack feeling like his soul was burning, so hot that he wanted nothing but to rip pieces of himself apart to make it stop!
It hurt so much that he regretted his choice.

Moon Moon was right! He could still keep going! As long as the little one was there by its side, then it would never give up! He’d be damned if he stopped before he got some passive!

Every scale of a certain dragon trembled.
It should have been happy about subjecting the annoying human to such a horrific fate, and yet it couldn’t help but feel a deep sense of unease, so much that it couldn’t sleep!
And as it anxiously swam around in its lava pool…
Sniff! Sniff! Sniff! Strange smells?! It hadn’t noticed before because of how intense the situation had been, but there were traces of unwanted visitors?! Ones it hadn’t noticed?!
The stillness… of time?!
Then there was the aura of death?!
At this moment, it resolved to get to the bottom of it!
“You can hide, and run, but thith Dragon will finn you anyway! And once I do, you’ll whith for death! I’ll—” It cursed the human, even as it had trouble speaking from its cut tongue.
All its energy was spent on plotting and none on preserving appearances anymore. But it had barely gotten started when… [T-This System Begs You, No More! ( ╥﹏╥ )]

This Dragon had heard of it, but it was actually real?!
Why did it seem to be crying? Why did it seem to fear a certain human?! How was this possible?! A certain invincible Dragon suddenly didn’t understand the world anymore.

“Scoff— This has to be a trick! But so what? He’s doomed already!”
The people under would deal with him. It was sure of it! It was as sure of it as its scales were sturdy and— Thud! This just happened to be the sound of a scale falling in the lava?!
A certain dragon as decisively as anxiously went back to sleep.
Either way, it would be up to them now…
Yes, all up to THEM!

A soft splashing sound, the sound of a scale falling from a behemoth, one unknowingly damaged in the Event, one that was about to go on one hell of a Journey!

As a dragon scale, it was powerful!
One had to know that many dragon scales tended to outlive their owners. After all, the scales were sturdy, but the flesh was weak. There was nothing else to say about it.
Said scales was now on a journey to another world! Not only that, but it seemed like its sleek body and its incredible toughness were making king here: it was speed-running this!
In a matter of days…
With a thud, the little scale finally landed!
“Hey, did you hear that? Think it’s an intruder?”
“Intruder, your ass! We’re prisoners here!”
“Can you not mention my scaly ass?”
“Goddammit! Just check it out!”

Amidst a fiery cavern, two voices resounded, quibbling, soon followed by mighty footsteps, each more powerful than the last! And that’s when a scaly giant appeared!
The maw of a dragon.
The power and might of a dragon.
The shape of a VERY happy humanoid.
“Hehe, D-Dragon Scale! Oh, this is great! I’ll get so many Flame Crystals for this one! Or maybe I could turn it into a family keepsake. So many possibilities, hehehehe!”
But just as the newcomer was happy to high heavens…
“Bastard, what is it? Are you still alive!”
“All good. Must have been the wind!”
“We’re in an underground prison!”
Then before long, raucous chuckles filled the caver, a certain scale just chilling in its new owner’s… ass?! The latter had just shoved it in his leather loincloth?!
Good thing the scale wasn’t sentient! Sadly, that also meant it didn’t understand none of the juicy gossip that followed, the two guards (?) wagging their forked tongues.
“Did you hear? There’s been a link…”
“Of course I bloody did! It glowed so much, too.”
“I can’t wait to see the batch of souls we get this time!”
The more they talked, the more excited they got. After all, every new soul was another piece of the puzzle to unlocking that god-forsaken prison of theirs!
And they were so damn close, a single push, and they’d make it! At this rate, they’d live to see the Scale-ning! They’d leave their prison and get back to Terra Forma!
And then… the rest was obvious!
A land rich in magic and ripe for the taking. Weak-fleshed humans ready to be slaughtered! A race of conquerors finally coming back to their bloody roots!
But just as they were daydreaming…
“I can’t WAIT! Still, I’ll miss the heat of home.”
“Hehe, don’t tell anyone, but that’s already been taken care of!” As if a mischievous imp, the gigantic bodybuilder-like lizard man finally spilled the beans with a huge grin.
The Overworld? It was already being terraformed!
Heat! Heat! Heat! Even More Heat!
It would be their Paradise!
In the fiery brightness of the cave, two lizard men guffawed endlessly, not knowing the Greater Evil that had just arrived in their Realm.
