In the Subterranean Land….
Countless roars of Fiery Behemoths echoed!
They could feel it, something had changed, there was a new smell in the Subterranean Land, one that was getting closer by the second! One creature in particular perked its head.
Its territory was being invaded?! Yes, it could already hear the footsteps as heavy as mountains, and smell the iron stench of blood! And then it saw the enemy.
It was another behemoth just like it!
But there was something strange with its state. How much blood was that?! The thing was covered in grim from head to claw, definitely coming out of a life-or-death fight?!
The wary behemoth instantly went on high alert! Trying to come and steal its territory? It would slaughter the invader! But just as it was about to attack, it stared shellshocked.
The gigantic behemoth was obediently following a tiny creature? Instead of guarding the place like it was supposed, it was playing tour guide?!
As for the tiny creature, it was a worthless one devoid of power. Not even a full-fledged lizardman, but a Newborn? The behemoth suddenly flared with anger.
A traitor and a cheater together? KILL!
That’s when Jack felt the enormous killing intent!
As a gigantic nightmarish creature of lava charged at him, the weakened OG behemoth by his side howled in panic as if saying ’Quick! Show the blessing or we’ll die!’
At that moment, the entire world was trembling.
Shockwaves spreading with every step, red eyes transfixed on them, and world-ending power! Anyone else would have long shat themselves, but not Jack!
No, he simply showed a playful smirk as he actually waved!
“Hey there, big guy! How about you slow down? Let’s have a talk!” he offered like a gentleman on a walk who had just met an old friend.
Yet all that appeared in the creature’s eyes was disdain. Slow down? Talk? In his fucking dream! Whatever trick he had used on that other behemoth wouldn’t work on it!
Behemoths were allowed to kill as many regular Newborns as they wanted, and it sure would! As for begging for mercy? That was already too late.
Even if the human begged, it would be too late to—
“ROAR?!!!”
That’s when it froze…
The human had started undressing, revealing green glowing tattoos that clearly represented Scaly?! That’s when the poor behemoth’s brain court-circuited. IT HAD TO STOP!
That’s when IT happened.
The creature was akin to a truck going belly up!
Stopping its insane momentum shattered its calves. Then it face-planted, its body sliding on the sharp volcanic rocks, its scales rupturing and its fiery blood painting the world red.
And as if by magic, the ginormous body finally stopped its sliding not even a meter away from Jack?! As if expecting this, he casually raised a leg, stomping on the creature.
“Hehe, who’s a good behemoth! I’m sure Scaly will be pleased to see your devotion! Now, don’t mind me, I’m just looking for an Evolution Statue! Ah, there’s a LOT!”
Hearing this, the behemoth’s eyes flared with hate!
Just looking for an Evolution Statue? Why did he have to come here for that? Hell, had this cocky guy not had Scaly’s blessing, it would have long devoured him!
But the creature smirked as it saw him approach a statue.
This place was quite deep in the Subterranean Realm!
It was full of statues with LOTS of power!
They weren’t Newborn-Friendly at all!
The Newborn would die!
Jack obviously felt the killing intent, and as he did he VERY slowly went to touch the Statue of Evolution, but right before he did he stayed his hand, seemingly hesitating.
Seeing this, the fallen behemoth’s gaze kept flickering. “Come on, touch it, you bastard!” it seemed to say. And as Jack finally did, the creature suddenly laughed in pure joy.
The result was instantaneous!
“ARRGGGGG!”
Jack threw himself on the ground, his body convulsing like crazy. Seeing this, the behemoth cackled all its pain forgotten instantly! This bastard had finally— ?!?
Jack happily rose, a teasing smile on his face.
“Hehe, just kidding.”
“ROARRR?!!!!”
“Hmmm.”
Jack seemed to ponder the meaning of that shell-shocked roar, finally nodding in agreement. “Actually, you’re right. This statue isn’t suited for a Newborn like me. It’s too weak!”
That’s when he touched it once more and— SHATTER!
As he used the same trick as before to shatter the statue, a certain behemoth’s heart nearby shattered equally! The shock combined with its earlier injuries was just too much!
With one last heave, the behemoth actually stopped moving entirely?!

Jack exaggeratedly sighed, feeling mischievous.
A certain scaly god had given him a Curse to prevent fratricide? Well, he was finding more and more ways to get creative with it! Still, there was a resolute gleam in his eyes.
This place was where Newborns turned into Lizardmen. As long as it existed, then they’d have the capabilities to quickly raise armies, ones loyal to Scaly!
Scaly Bad, Humanity Good, or some bullshit like that. If anyone asked, Jack was totally saving the world! Thus, he quickly went to work… for world peace!
He “heroically” rushed near the recently deceased behemoth!
Carve! Tear! Shred! He went all out on its body! He ripped the poor thing apart using his tiny claws, diving deep inside the thing to grab EVERYTHING!
He even started singing as he got to work?!

Jack gave a satisfied sigh as he inspected his new loot, everything he had extracted from the creature neatly settled in his inventory, one that he had just re-unlocked from butchering!

The System kept writing ’Sacred’ in every line, as if to remind him that its victim had been Scaly’s helper, one that no one should have dared butcher for sure!
And by the side, a certain OG behemoth was having a life crisis. This guy was a freaking monster! Killing its brethren indirectly, then butchering it so proficiently?!
This was crazy! This was insane! What kind of bastard would— clearly this one! It couldn’t take its eyes away from him, and especially the Scaly Blessing.
Had anyone told the creature the tattoo was fake, it would have almost believed it! But it really could feel Scaly’s power from it! Then again, in a way it made sense.
Would a Scaly’s Chosen be normal? No way, right?!
But it seemed that even the poor behemoth had underestimated the man’s craziness. With bulging eyes, it saw him get dressed while heading even deeper?!
“Oh well, this one’s done, so let’s go. You coming?”
And that’s when the true nightmare began.
A clothed Jack quickly ’invaded’ yet another Behemoth’s lair, a similar scene from earlier happening once more. First came the anger, then the ’let’s talk’ that didn’t work at all.
Except this time the OG behemoth heard the crazy Newborn mumble under his breath!
“Not yet. Need more momentum or the legs won’t break. NOW!”
It was no luck at all! It was all calculated to make them commit self-destruction to the max?! Hell, this behemoth seemed more ’smooth brain’, so Jack took three steps back?!
Then as if by magic, the thing ended up sliding till right in front of him?!
What kind of crazy foresight did something like that take?!
He even made it seem like a coincidence to enrage it?!
At this moment, the poor OG behemoth suddenly felt like its entire life had been a lie. Compared to this guy, it was so goddamn dumb! It didn’t deserve to be a guardian!
But just as it was spiraling into self-doubt, a playful voice resounded.
“Actually, you’re not bad. You still haven’t killed yourself...”
That was the cutout?! Yes, it actually was. And before long, the duo was VERY deep in the Subterranean Land, a certain System forced into working overtime.
