Chapter 450: Too Many Legions!
Chapter 450: Too Many Legions!
Inside the Training Grounds…
Jack’s arrival caused one hell of a stir!
His cohort was all there, in a military-like line, and they shook in their scales as soon as he appeared. Hell, some fell down as they stared at the commotion he had caused!
Yet, a certain three-eyed lizard gestured him to hurry…
“You, stand in line with us. It’s about to start!”
“That’s the final step before war, right?”
“Kinda, but get ready to FIGHT!”
He was already looking at the sky with apprehension, and as Jack also did, he saw it. A flying Shaman?! This guy was freaking back! < Shaman Overlord Than’Hos! Lv 130! ☠🦎🩸>
For an instant, he frowned at Jack, only to shrug and let it go. He had far more important things to do. Cackling, he grandiosely addressed the crowd in succession:
“They will fight in the upcoming war alongside us!”
“They will spearhead our glorious return!”
“They will slaughter all our enemies!”
The crowd was already gushing with eagerness! To Lizardman, war was their most sacred ritual! They were quivering with expectation as if Americans having seen oil!
Seeing this, Than’Hos nodded, raising his claws high up.
“It’s TIME! Welcome Scaly’s Chosen!”
With this, the crowd went WILD!
The primal cheers were deafening, the atmosphere overwhelming. But then it got even worse as the Shaman waved his claw and… what the fuck was that spell?!
The once clear reddish sky darkened.
Fiery clouds exploded all over!
A God appeared!
That’s the only way Jack could describe it. A gigantic Snake of fire, one that reminded him of the statue back in the Subterranean Land. Gigantic fangs, doom eyes, and lava scales!
[Scaly’s Intimidating Presence: All Shall Bow!]
[Warning! Your Soul’s In Danger!]

That’s when the System went silent. Even it couldn’t take the weight of this apparition! At this moment, the entire stadium kneeled, all except Jack! No, he was staring in shock.
He couldn’t just feel it; he could hear it!
𝕯𝖔 𝕴𝖙, 𝖙𝖍𝖗𝖔𝖜 𝖞𝖔𝖚𝖗𝖘𝖑𝖋 𝖎𝖓 𝖙𝖍 𝖋𝖎𝖗
𝖄𝖔𝖚𝖗 𝖝𝖎𝖘𝖙𝖓𝖈’𝖘 𝖜𝖔𝖗𝖙𝖍𝖑𝖘𝖘
𝕯𝖎! 𝕯𝖎! 𝕯𝖎! 𝕯𝖎!
Dark thoughts swarmed his mind. Why shouldn’t he rush to the Fiery Being and immolate himself? It would be so easy to hug Scaly’s apparition and end it— SCALY?!
That’s when Jack woke up.
This thing in the sky wasn’t SCALY!
He didn’t know WHAT it was, but it wasn’t!
He had to get out of here. He had to get away from this shitshow! He had to— he felt as if he had been dragged deep underwater, the world standing still! But then it suddenly ended.
The spell in the sky? It was merely that, a spell, not the real thing. And as he struggled to catch his breath, the lizards around him were still cheering!
“Scaly! Scaly! Scaly! Scaly!”
“Guide us to salvation! Glory to you!”
“Let those new warriors be the best ever!”
They were still in the mood to cheer, with only Jack seemingly affected, only a certain three-eyed lizard noticing. In fact, the flying Shaman was already continuing!
Under his careful control….
“ROAR!!!!!”
The snake of fire opened a gargantuan maw and suddenly spat out a portal! It landed right next to Jack’s batch of students, opening a passage to another realm!
And out of it came out a literal army! LOTS and LOTS of young lizards, all marching in unison, their talons striking the volcanic floor in unison as they marched out!
Tap! Tap! Tap! Tap! Tap!
[ᴛʜ 11ᴛʜ ʟɢᴏ ʜᴀꜱ ꜱᴘᴀᴡᴅ!]
[ᴘᴏᴡʀ ᴀᴀʟʏꜱꜱ! ᴏᴠʀ 9000!]
[ᴄᴜʀʀᴛ ᴏᴅᴅꜱ 5:7]
Even as the System came back, Jack couldn’t help but freeze. Why was the font different than usual?! What had happened to it?! Did this mean that this was a special event?
’System?! You there?!’
….
Jack’s query left unanswered, the flying snake god kept vomiting portals one after the other, as endless numbers of young warriors came out of it, all looking crazy strong!
He couldn’t help but gasp as he saw their VERY sturdy complexions.
“What’s up with them them? So many! Also, are they all on steroids?!”
“Brother, it’s always like that. They’re the firstborns.”
“Firstborns? Only they get a cool entrance?”
A certain three-eyed lizard didn’t even bother answering, he just pointed above their heads, toward a fiery nameplate that had just recently appeared.
[ᴛʜ 12ᴛʜ ʟɢᴏ ꜱ ʜʀ!]
[ᴘᴏᴡʀ ᴀᴀʟʏꜱꜱ: ʟᴏᴡ!]
[ᴄᴜʀʀᴛ ᴏᴅᴅꜱ 1: 20]
A certain three-eyed lizard sighed.
“It can’t be helped, brother. The first batches got most of the power. We’re nothing but the remnants. Then there’s our numbers….” He didn’t even bother to finish.
The comparison was atrocious. Their group had 69 Lizards left, while most groups had a couple hundred; no wonder their rating was so low! They stood out like sore thumbs!
In fact, many of the other legions were snickering:
“Pfft— Have you seen the 12th Legion?”
“As if! There are only 11 Legions!”
“Yeah, the last one’s a joke!”
….
And the joke of the joke was Jack.
As soon as eyes landed on his scales, the lizards would scoff. He was tinier, and his scales were all white. This had to be a birth defect! Better ignore the group of rejects!
The 12th legion was already feeling down, all except Jack, who was far more focused on what would come. In the solemn atmosphere, he playfully asked his neighbor.
“Psst— What comes next after this?”
“Didn’t your Shaman brief you?!”
“Naw, we took a bath…”
A bath?! Was this the same killing machine from earlier?! What the hell would he take a bath with his Shaman for? More importantly, why were his scales white anyway?!
But as a certain three-eyed lizard bubbled with questions, there was suddenly a change. The ginormous lava snake in the sky opened its mouth one last time and—
[ᴘᴏʀᴛᴀʟ ᴛᴏ ʟᴢᴀʀᴅɢᴅᴅᴏ ʜᴀꜱ ᴀᴘᴘᴀʀᴅ!]
[ꜱᴛᴘ ꜰᴏʀᴛʜ ᴀᴅ ꜱᴢ ʏᴏᴜʀ ᴅꜱᴛʏ!]
[ʜᴀʟꜰ ᴛʜ ʟɢᴏꜱ ꜱʜᴀʟʟ ʟᴠ!]
Half?! What kind of crazy concept was this?! Seeing this, Jack couldn’t help but inwardly sneer. Half was it? Those were rookie numbers! He’d have to fix it.
In a matter of minutes, legion after legion headed for the portal, the atmosphere so damn epic! But then came the 12th Legion’s turn, and all the expectations died down.
Amidst endless jeers, Jack’s group finally went through! Yet even now, their “leader” was still showing a confident grin. Fifty percent, was it? Would be hard with his curse.
Still, it was time for a genocide…
