Chapter 832: Confrontation
Chapter 832: Confrontation
Kitsura was dumbfounded as she watched Yuan and his wives wield their weapons. Their movements were too swift, too fluid—so refined that it seemed as though they had been honing their skills for tens of thousands of years.
She felt that with a single swing of their swords, they could cleave an entire mountain in two, even without relying on magic or aura.
Especially Yuan and Valeria. From their bodies and their blades radiated an otherworldly presence that sent chills crawling down her spine. Cold sweat instantly broke out across her forehead.
’What is this terrifying sensation I’m feeling?!’ Kitsura screamed inwardly, her nerves taut, as though thousands of invisible swords were pressing against her skin, their edges ready to slice her apart.

Meanwhile, Vrasha had chosen to remain in her room, immersing herself in cultivation. Ever since Yuan had given her a cultivation technique, she had become fascinated by it, devoting nearly all her time to training.
At first, Yuan wasn’t sure whether a human cultivation method would even work for an ogre like Vrasha. But to his surprise, she cultivated normally—just like a human would.
Even more shocking was her speed. Her cultivation advanced at an astonishing rate, fueled by her burning desire to grow strong and take revenge on the Dragon Blood Clan.
At first, she had been shaken when she realized her mana had completely vanished after sleeping with Yuan. She wasn’t physically weakened, but her ability to sense mana in the air was gone. Frustration consumed her until Yuan explained the concept of cultivation and the path it offered.
After hearing his explanation, Vrasha was fascinated by the idea of becoming strong enough to crush mountains with her bare hands—and of living an incredibly long life through cultivation.
Now, after training day and night, Vrasha had reached the very peak of the Spirit Apprentice realm. She stood at the brink of a breakthrough, ready to step into the Spirit Warrior realm.
Miss Zara and Little Zoe also devoted most of their time to refining the Monster Cores Yuan had given them. They sought to raise their cultivation quickly, determined to catch up to the rest of Yuan’s wives.

Selvariel, however, sat alone in her room, consumed by a heavy sense of loneliness. She couldn’t bring herself to leave Yuan’s group—something in her heart warned her that he could kill her even if she tried to run.
She had already witnessed the overwhelming power he and his women wielded in battle. Even the so-called gods of the High Heavens paled in comparison.
Growing restless, Selvariel finally decided to leave her room and get some fresh air. After all, she was free to do as she pleased—so long as it wasn’t leaving this place entirely.
“I’ve spent so much time with them… yet I still can’t figure them out. It’s as if they’re beings of absolute power… Still, at least I’m alive. And staying with them isn’t as unbearable as I first thought.”
Selvariel muttered to herself as she stepped out of her room. Immediately, her body tensed. The same dreadful sensation she had once felt while fighting Yuan alongside Valthariel coursed through her veins again.
A few moments later, she reached the training grounds, where Yuan and his wives were busy honing their skills.
’There’s no mistake… it’s the exact same feeling I felt when I fought him!’ Selvariel swallowed nervously as her gaze locked onto Yuan, then shifted sharply to the sword in his hands.
’That sword… it’s the same one from back then!’ she screamed inwardly, her body trembling as the weapon’s otherworldly aura pressed down on her, sending waves of fear through her.
Yet at the same time, she couldn’t look away. She was captivated by its appearance—otherworldly, flawless, a blade that seemed not crafted by mortal hands, but born from something greater.
’Where did he find such a sword?! In the High Heavens, I encountered countless treasures, yet I have never seen anything that compares to this,’ she pondered deeply, her eyes fixed on the weapon with both fear and fascination.
Kitsura soon noticed Selvariel’s presence. It was impossible not to—her aura was unlike anything else in this world. Bright and warm like holy light, yet carrying an edge that made her terrifying, especially with her cold demeanor toward everyone except Yuan and his wives.
’She’s an Angel… yet she follows a mortal. And judging by her behavior around him, I wonder what their true relationship is…’ Kitsura thought, her sharp eyes studying Selvariel quietly.
She had been observing her for quite some time and couldn’t ignore the way Selvariel treated Yuan—with unwavering respect, almost as if she were his servant.
It left Kitsura unsettled and curious. Why would an Angel choose to remain by the side of a mortal man? What bound her so strongly?
Still, Kitsura decided not to pry. As leader of the Misty Fox Clan, digging into others’ private affairs was beneath her.
Moments later, Yuan and his wives finished their training session and headed off together to cleanse themselves in the bath. All of them—without exception.
“Well… it seems they’re ’very’ friendly with one another, since they share the same room—and even baths together…” Kitsura chuckled softly before turning to Selvariel with a smile.
“Since they’ll be taking a bath now, how about we go out to the city and get some fresh air? I’d like to know more about you—you’re the first Angel I’ve ever met in my life.”
“I don’t mind chatting with you for a while. I’ve been feeling bored staying inside my room,” Selvariel replied with a faint smile, a small sense of relief washing over her at having someone to ease her loneliness. “Let’s go to a tea house and have an interesting conversation.”
“Then let’s go. I know just the place—peaceful, with a beautiful view of the city,” Kitsura chuckled as she took Selvariel along.

Meanwhile, heavy tension filled the air as Lindsey stood before her father, confronted about her secret visit to the Lawless City.
Her teeth ground together in frustration, her knuckles turning white as she clenched her fists. ’Who betrayed me? Who dared inform him of my visit?!’
’Whoever leaked this… I’ll skin him alive and slaughter his entire family before his eyes. I’ll make him watch as his beloved ones die screaming!’ Lindsey cursed inwardly, her cold eyes fixed on her father’s furious glare.
“I won’t ask twice,” Emperor Raghar said, his brows furrowed deeply, his voice sharp and commanding. “Tell me—what business did you have in that city?”
“I can’t tell you my reason… it’s a secret. I’m sorry.” Lindsey’s voice was firm, her expression unwavering. She could not reveal her plan yet. Only when Queen Mireya’s death was confirmed would she proudly tell her father that it had been her doing.
“So, you refuse to answer?” Raghar sighed heavily, disappointment etched across his face. “Do you think I don’t already know? I know exactly why you went there.”
His voice hardened as his anger boiled over. “This is my fault… I pampered you too much, and in doing so I failed to teach you that the world does not bend to your will. Queen Mireya is proof of that.”
Fury flashed in his eyes as he grabbed her face roughly. “You dared to hire assassins against Queen Mireya without even investigating her properly. You underestimated her, Lindsey, and that mistake could cost us dearly.”
“Father! Why are you angry with me?! You should be furious at that bitch for insulting me! She humiliated me, and you should punish her—not me!” Lindsey shouted back, her rage exploding.
“Lindsey! Don’t you ’dare’ raise your voice at me!” Emperor Raghar roared, his patience finally shattering.
“Do you even know what kind of woman she is? Do you even realize how terrifying she has become? Do you know what she did recently to Kaelrath?!” Emperor Raghar’s voice thundered with disbelief at his daughter’s recklessness.
“While you were busy with your petty business, that woman nearly killed Kaelrath single-handedly! She publicly humiliated him—castrated him, stripping him of his pride as a man—and sent him back half-dead!”
He drew in a sharp breath before continuing, his anger unrelenting. “And yet, you had the audacity to place a bounty on that very woman—the one I’ve deliberately avoided provoking. Do you understand how much danger you’ve invited upon us with this foolish stunt of yours?!”
Lindsey froze, her face draining of color. She stared at her father in disbelief, her eyes wide as the weight of his words sank in.
“Just yesterday, she destroyed the dam we were building at the Twin Mountains! Did you not feel the shockwave? Or were you too blind to notice the strange phenomenon in the sky?!” Raghar roared, his fury rising with every word.
But he wasn’t finished. “That woman… she has the power to destroy our empire as easily as she destroyed that dam—and we could do nothing to stop her! Somehow, she has gained strength beyond comprehension. She has become a walking disaster!”
His fists clenched so tightly that his knuckles turned white. His voice lowered into a growl as he spat, “Because of your spoiled arrogance, you’ve endangered us all! If she ever learns we were behind this… she will wipe us from existence.”
Raghar sighed deeply, the sound heavy with fury and disappointment. He cast one last glance at his shaken daughter before storming out of her chamber, leaving her to stew in silence.
Lindsey sat slumped on her bed, her dazed expression quickly hardening into fury. Her teeth ground together, and her fists trembled with rage.
“That damn bitch! I’ll kill her myself! Because of her, I had to suffer humiliation at my father’s hands today! I’ll make her pay!” she screamed, her voice echoing in her room as she hurled objects violently, her frustration consuming her.
