My Celestial Ascension

Chapter 878 878: Spiritual Zone

“They have left the Elven Kingdom. They are heading somewhere— all of them. We’re unable to determine which direction they went.”

[What?! What do you mean unable to determine?! They can’t just vanish from your sight! Stop making excuses, Team Alpha! Do you understand?!]

A furious voice erupted through the magical communication device, sharp and commanding.

“There is no misunderstanding— we truly lost sight of the targets in the blink of an eye. They disappeared right before our eyes, and we have no idea where they went afterward.” The man in the black outfit replied, his eyes sharp and expression solemn.

His hands trembled as he gripped the magical communicator tighter, squeezing so hard that his knuckles turned white.

‘Damn it! How am I supposed to know where that bastard went?! This is infuriating!’ he cursed inwardly, gritting his teeth as his eyes turned red with frustration.

[I don’t care how you handle it! I only want results. Even if you and your men must search every nook and cranny of the Beast Continent, find out where he went with his wives— immediately!] the angry voice shouted.

“I understand, Your Highness… we will do our best to uncover their location.” The man responded after a moment, and then the line abruptly went silent.

“Hah… this is so frustrating…” he sighed once the connection ended, his face showing exhaustion.

“Leader, what should we do now? We’ve lost the targets, and we don’t know where they went… it will be extremely troublesome to track them.” one subordinate asked, his husky voice full of worry.

“That’s right, Leader… where could we possibly find him in a continent this massive? He could be anywhere.” another complained.

The leader took a deep breath to calm his anger, his frustration growing heavier with every passing second.

‘I should never have accepted this mission… why did I so readily agree to keep watch on that monster?’ he cursed himself silently.

After steadying his breath, he looked at his men and spoke, “We don’t have a choice. Since we accepted this mission, we must see it through to the bitter end.”

“Call for backup. We need more manpower to complete this mission. If necessary, recruit mortals to increase our numbers.” he ordered firmly.

“As you wish, Leader. We’ll make good use of the mortals.” his subordinate responded.

Shortly after, the group left the area, disappearing into the shadows of the forest without leaving behind even a trace of their presence.

The sea looked peaceful at first glance, the cheerful weather bringing smiles to many faces in the port city. Many sailors waited at the harbor, preparing to set sail.

The city looked lively, with beast-people running around as business boomed; everyone chased profit as ships arrived at the port carrying exotic fish.

Yuan and his wives arrived at the port not long ago, asking the locals about the strange weather occurring a few miles out at sea.

The weather became bizarre a short distance from the port; powerful storms covered the sea as the waves grew massive and terrifying.

Thunder fell from the dark sky like heavy rain, striking the water continuously, killing thousands of fish and sea monsters with every bolt.

Since the waves were strong, the dead fish and sea monsters drifted toward the Beast Continent, becoming a treasure trove for the locals.

The fish and sea monsters were packed with dense mana from the lightning strikes. Thus, their value increased several times over, making them a great source for mages and warriors to enhance their strength.

“It seems we have no choice but to force our way through the storm to reach the Demonic Continent…” Valeria sighed softly, a dry smile on her face as she stared at the massive storm in the distance.

For the locals, this sight was normal, as the thunder had never stopped once. It had been like this ever since the historic war between the Demon Emperor and the Heroes summoned by the Holy Church.

After the war ended, the storm covered the entire continent, preventing all sailors from reaching the Demonic Continent.

“That is indeed the case… we have no choice if we want to enter the Demonic Continent.” Yuan nodded after thinking for a moment.

“We should cross the storm before nightfall. The storm grows stronger at night,” Mireya said with a serious expression. “If the sun goes down, we’ll have to stay the night and move out tomorrow.”

“Indeed. Crossing the storm at night is too risky. The sea will be violent, filled with powerful monsters, and they will definitely attack us,” Kitsura added sharply.

“Then let’s spend the night here, in this city. We’ll set out tomorrow morning.” Yuan said with a soft smile, looking at his wives with gentle affection.

“Are you sure about this?” Vrasha asked with a concerned look.

“I’m sure. There’s no need to rush. With our strength and speed, crossing the storm will be easy.” Yuan replied quickly with a smile.

Shortly after, they found a good place to stay for the night.

The thunder continued to crash over the sea throughout the entire night, relentless and violent. The sound of the thunderclaps made it difficult for them to fall asleep quickly, but they still managed to get some rest.

Once the morning sun appeared, Yuan and his wives had breakfast and left the inn. They stood on the sandy beach at the edge of the sea, gazing at the raging thunderstorm in the distance.

Yuan looked at Emma with a serious expression and said, “Emma, you must be extremely careful with your mother. A lightning strike can burn a mortal until nothing remains.”

“I understand. I’ll be very careful,” Emma nodded firmly, determination in her eyes.

“Since everyone is ready, let’s cross the storm now and enter the Demonic Continent as soon as possible,” Yuan said with a small smirk before summoning the Empyreal Oblivion.

Shortly after, they headed toward the massive storm raging over the sea, lightning striking with earth-shattering force.

As they approached the storm, Yuan could feel the intense waves of Spiritual Energy radiating from it—so dense that a mortal wouldn’t even be able to breathe properly.

“No wonder mortals haven’t crossed this storm for ages… this entire area is a Spiritual Zone filled with dense Spiritual Energy. Everything makes sense now…” Yuan murmured in surprise as he stood before the colossal storm, feeling the oppressive spiritual pressure.

Cultivating here would benefit him and his wives tremendously, increasing their cultivation speed far faster than dual cultivation ever could.

The Spiritual Energy was so pure and thick it would increase their breakthroughs several times over. However, the only problem was the lack of solid ground to sit and cultivate on.

Since Yuan had no way to take advantage of this miracle-like environment, he could only sigh helplessly, knowing he had to give up such a rare chance to break through to the Spirit King Realm.

“Let’s keep moving… we can’t cultivate here with so many Spiritual Monsters lurking in the sea. It’s better to move forward without delay,” Yuan said to his wives with a heavy sigh.

He was reluctant to leave such a perfect opportunity behind, but he had no choice. For now, he had to give it up.

Later, he would find a method to benefit from this Spiritual Zone. This place wasn’t just beneficial for him—it would also be invaluable for his wives.

If they could cultivate here safely, their cultivation would skyrocket, breaking through several levels and realms with ease—far faster than with dual cultivation.

Emma covered herself and her mother with a thin layer of Qi, protecting their bodies from the vicious lightning strikes continuously raining down from the dark clouds.

Shortly after, they stepped fully inside the storm, lightning striking them relentlessly, each bolt sending powerful shockwaves tearing through the air.

Suddenly, a massive wave surged toward them, so huge and towering that it could easily swallow Yuan and his wives into the raging sea.

Yuan hovered in the air with a confident look on his face as his sword moved on its own, landing firmly in his hand.

Immediately, the blade hummed with excitement as Yuan coated it with his Sword Aura. The sea monsters sensing this overwhelming aura instantly fled in fear.

“A wave like this is nothing to me…” Yuan muttered in a calm voice, unfazed by the incoming threat.

With a swift motion, he swung his sword downward, releasing a powerful arc of Sword Aura toward the massive wave charging at them.

Slash! A sharp sound echoed as the colossal wave split cleanly down the middle before collapsing, losing all its force.

Nyx’s eyes widened in disbelief at the sight, her mouth falling open in shock.

‘Unbelievable… He destroyed that massive wave with just a single swing… Just how insanely strong is he?!’ she screamed inwardly, unable to process what she had just witnessed.

With the wave destroyed, they continued moving forward through the violent storm. As they advanced, countless lightning strikes rained upon them relentlessly.

Almost an hour later, Yuan and his wives finally reached the edge of the storm, sunlight breaking through the gloom as they spotted solid land in the distance.

Once they emerged from the storm, Yuan and his wives gazed at the enormous landmass before them—the Demonic Continent.

“Is this the place? The Demonic Continent?” Lily muttered with a dazed expression as she stared at the horizon.

“I-I’m not too sure… this doesn’t match the description at all…” Valeria replied with a puzzled look on her face.
