Chapter 1190 A Desprate Gamble
Every king had access to absolute blood control, with each succession it was passed on, and using that power they made it unique to their own.
For Lucien, he was a vampire that had a high interest in martial arts. Mainly his fists.
He tried to perfect techniques that would work well with blood aura, and that would build upon his already found power.
Among the vampire societies, there were currently thirteen families in total.
These families each had a leader that they followed. Vampires that followed a family.
What was special about each of the families was the unique powers each of them would have. Only taught to those within the family.
For Haylock, who was part of the thirteenth family, they had the ability to control string. The talented ones could infuse it with blood, making it stronger and easier to control.
For the fourth family, Jin Talon, their blood was explosive. Allowing them to use it in the most devastating ways.
The power of the explosion from blood varied between individuals.
These two powers were what the Howlers had experienced so far. It was part of the world of vampires which was truly different to the world of Werewolves.
As for the king, he was also from a family that had a unique power, and that power was to get stronger with each hit.
When fighting against an opponent, as long as the person successfully hit an individual, each strike would grow stronger and stronger.
If a certain amount of time passed, then the ability would reset, going back to the regular strength of the vampire.
For Lucien, he thought it was the perfect combination for his martial arts. As long as he could hit his opponent.
No matter how hard their defense, no matter how resilient they were, his strength would reach new heights, eventually he would defeat his opponent.
For him, there was no other ability he would rather have, and when becoming king, and gaining the absolute blood control, it didn’t take him long to use its power to create something unique to him.
Pure blood fists made from the aura he could now control. What was fascinating about the fists that didn’t occur with his own blood attacks.
Were with each hit of the blood aura, it also multiplied his effect, and with it, he felt like he was not only one of the strongest vampires currently, but even in existence.

Gary continued to see the numbers rising at an incredible speed. Although they were low to start, they were beginning to pile up, and even his resistance and large health pool wouldn’t help him much in the situation.
The others watching the beat down Gary was taking, they could see blood spilling out from his mouth and onto the floor.
“Tell me, when’s the part when we go in and help Gary…because I’m pretty sure that will be soon,” Park added, as he kept clenching his fist and shuffling his feet.
“The moment we move in, the moment all of them will move in as well,” Olivia said. “Our best shot is either letting this play out and hope that Gary can pull this off. Or the second is jumping in at the last moment and getting Gary out of here.”
Fighting against the vampires with so few people around wasn’t a good idea.
And it seemed whatever Howlers were meant to make their way to where they were had yet to arrive.
Not that they would be much use against a bunch of supernaturals anyway.
[Ember dash]
Gary jumped away for a moment, breaking some distance, but he could see Lucien shuffling around him.
The street wasn’t the widest of areas for the two of them to fight, and Lucien was fast.
The ember dash only lasted a few moments in the first place.
[Lethal Pounce]
Gary used his skill again, but this time it was to escape Lucien from getting close to him and touching him.
“What’s this running away, if your running away, then I would say that’s the conclusion to our fight is it not?” Lucien said as he gave chase.
Gary kept alternating between Ember dash and lethal pounce. He didn’t bother attacking, wasting more energy, not unless his attacks could get through.
‘Think…think…there has to be something I can do,’ Gary thought. ‘And what about that blood control, and doing all of this, is he not going to get tired….is that the game I should play, to just wait it out until one of us gets tired?’
Gary couldn’t tell, but from the vampire side of things, the three leaders were constantly looking at each other, and they had concerns on their faces as well.
Eventually though, Gary decided that he couldn’t keep running. He was on a timer with his current form and went in using his claw drain skill.
‘I still have last stand…I still have that!’
The same pattern had repeated as last time. His arm was knocked away, and the blood aura was used to attack, hitting Gary on his body.

[-7HP]
‘The strength numbers they reset? Is it because he’s feeling weaker…or is it a type of momentum thing?’ Gary wondered.
Still learning this regardless wasn’t going to help with the fight, it was only going to make his torment longer.
As the punches kept building up, there was an easier escape for Gary. Smoke started to seep out from his back.
[Smoke veil]
The thick black smoke exploded out in every direction, and covered the entire area.
What Gary realized was the pungent smell of the smoke also blocked one’s smell, so it wasn’t easy for him to be found.
Yet using this skill, Gary had no intention of running away.
‘There’s only one thing I can do…I’ll just have to gamble!’
[New transformation is being used.]
