My Werewolf System

Chapter 1267 - 1267: Working With An Enemy

Trixie was aware of the risks when coming into the Garden. All of the sub-leaders of each group were; they knew there was a chance that things wouldn’t go to plan, but deep down, all of them wished they would.

Their forces were there to support. Taking out an Ironfang with so few people was an impossibility, at least not without any losses, and now, seeing one of them in front of her, she had to grit her teeth.

‘I can’t focus on the other Werewolves attacking us, because I need to focus on the Ironfang, otherwise, even more people will be killed!’ Trixie thought.

She readied herself as her special baton retracted back to the way it was before, and then charged straight ahead. She ran as fast as she could and thrust her weapon with all of her power.

It extended out, and quickly, the Ironfang leader reacted as they pulled their shield from behind. The special needle weapon had hit the shield, but it appeared to do nothing as the Werewolf’s whole weight and force held firm.

“Strong weapon you have there, but not strong enough!” The Werewolf moved the shield in a circle, trying to get the needle to swing off, but Trixie was spinning her body along with the shield, making sure the tip stayed on the shield itself.

“Annoying!” the Ironfang leader said as he pushed forward, running ahead.

The force felt had pushed Trixie to the point where she had to let go of her weapon to the side, otherwise, she felt like her arm was going to snap.

Right after that, the edge of the Werewolf’s shield started to vibrate—a high-pitched sound.

‘That shield, it can do a lot more than defend… it looks like it’s a razor-sharp head and it’s spinning… if that hits me!’

In the middle of these thoughts, she saw Kim in the air flying right over her shoulder. With a heavy fist, she delivered a punch, crashing right into the center of the shield. This time, it was the Werewolf who slid back across the platform.

“Haha, I guess this is more pushback than I expected,” the Ironfang leader said. “My name is Broodie. I hope you remember it, in your sweet dreams right before your death!”

Broodie charged forward with the shield in his hand, coming right at both Kim and Trixie.

He swung the sharp shield—more like a weapon than something to be used as a defensive tool—and Trixie dodged the fast swing as she rolled on the ground. She used her weapon, quickly stabbing the Werewolf in the back of the leg.

It wasn’t a deep wound as the hide on Broodie was incredibly thick, and it didn’t stop him as he continued on to battle against Kim.

He blocked another punch from her using the shield, and then swung his clawed hand right at her. Moving back, Kim was able to avoid the strike.

Seeing the opportunity, Trixie went in from behind to try and strike, but as if Broodie had eyes at the back of his head, he swung his shield behind him, blocking the attack, and then quickly with his foot, kicked Trixie.

She went flying, spinning in the air, before bouncing off the wooden flooring. As soon as she got up, she was watching both Kim and the Ironfang fighting it out. At times Kim was getting in hits, and they were heavy, but the Ironfang was quick to react back.

Both of them were fighting against each other closely; it was an incredible fight to watch. As Trixie was getting ready to join in the fight again, she could hear sound coming from behind her.

Turning her head around as she got up off the floor, she was stunned by what she could see. There was a whole group of Werewolves—at least ten more of them—seemingly coming their way.

The Altered Hunters were still battling with those from the river, which were around ten in number as well, and now they would have to deal with double the amount.

‘They won’t be able to, they won’t be able to do this. Where did these Werewolves come from… was it a trap after all… I should have waited.’

“Don’t attack her!” Broodie claimed. “Get rid of the rest.”

The Werewolves, hearing those words, jumped right past and went right over where Broodie and Kim were fighting, joining the fray of going up against the Altered Hunters.

At the same time, Broodie threw his shield as hard as he could. It was an unexpected move—Kim tried to grab the shield but it hit her right in the stomach. The sharp edge pierced her.

Kim was holding onto the top and bottom part of the shield, having stopped it from going incredibly deep inside, but it still had done significant damage.

“Kim!” Trixie shouted, coming forward, but Broodie turned around and flung one of his nails right at her, hitting her straight in the thigh. The pain had surprised her, and had somewhat stopped her advance, but she bared through it and stood strong.

Meanwhile, Kim had pulled the shield out from her stomach. The bleeding was there, but Kim didn’t seem to be hurt… not like Trixie was.

“You Altered Hunters are strange,” Broodie claimed. “You fight because you think that Altereds are a different species. Because you think that humans are the only ones that should exist in their true form? Is that right?

“That’s why you’re here, right, to get rid of us? But then why… why then have you teamed up with these things that are not even the same as you?” Broodie claimed, as he pointed to Kim. “These beings that even feed on your kind.”
