“Hancock, you can’t beat Big Mom on your own.”
Shin said to the confident Hancock.
“Don’t underestimate me, Shin. I’ll prove it to you,” Hancock said seriously, gripping Ame no Habakiri.
“Do you need me to take care of those two Homies?”
Shin pointed at the sun Prometheus and the thundercloud Zeus. There was also the bicorne hat Napoleon, but it had already transformed into a sword and was being held by Big Mom.
“No need. Just watch. We can handle it,” Olvia said, also quite confident.
“It’s rare to see you this confident, Olvia.”
Shin couldn’t help but say, looking at her. It really was rare to see her so self-assured. It made her even more charming.
“Have I not been confident before?” Olvia asked, looking at Shin with a puzzled expression.
“DIE!”
Big Mom had already launched her assault, massive fists wreathed in flames and lightning streaking toward them. The attack—a fusion of her two Homies—was devastatingly powerful, a raging tempest of fire and electricity.
“<Lightning Slash!>”
Olvia, wielding the Sword of Futsunomitama, struck at Big Mom.
Like Kizaru’s Ama no Murakumo, this was a blade she’d forged from pure lightning—compressed, high-voltage energy capable of splitting the ocean and reducing enemies to ash with a single cut.
Olvia’s slash collided with Big Mom’s fist. A blinding light made everyone squint.
“I should have been the one to attack,” Hancock grumbled, feeling as if Olvia had stolen her kill.
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!
An explosion erupted, and a massive wave rolled across the sea. Big Mom was pushed back.
“Whew!”
Olvia exhaled heavily.
The attack she had just unleashed had consumed a lot of her energy.
“Hancock, I don’t think either of us can beat Big Mom alone. Let’s take her on together.” Olvia said to Hancock.
It might have seemed like Big Mom was the one pushed back, but that attack was one of Olvia’s strongest, and it had barely scratched her.
“Fine, I’ll work with you this time. But I could totally take her down alone.”
Hancock said with a touch of arrogance.
“Give it a rest, Hancock. Face reality. You’re no match for Big Mom by yourself,” Robin said, glancing at Hancock.
At that moment, Robin also acted, but her target wasn’t Big Mom—it was the grunts. Dealing with them was simple for her; she easily snapped their necks with her sprouted arms.
For sneak attacks, Robin’s Flower-Flower Fruit was quite effective.
Momousagi drew her sword. If she were fighting the Marines, she would have hesitated, but against the infamous Big Mom Pirates, there was no need to hold back.
With every move she made, the Big Mom Pirates suffered heavy casualties. They had already been hit hard, and now there were only a few of them left.
A whole bunch of Big Mom’s children were dead.
Shin’s Kuja Pirates weren’t large in number—less than a hundred in total—but they were all elites, the finest warriors from Amazon Lily. Under Shin’s guidance, their strength was not to be underestimated just because they were women.
And in terms of top-tier combat power, there were quite a few. Olvia and Hancock were on par with Admirals, and Momousagi was a quasi-Admiral.
Marguerite, despite her youth, was incredibly strong—especially with the Op-Op Fruit’s bizarre spatial abilities that let her take down opponents way above her weight class.
Kalifa and Amatsuki Toki were forces to be reckoned with too. Kalifa wielded the Float-Float Fruit with devastating effect, making her far more powerful than she’d been in the original timeline.
As for Amatsuki Toki, while the Time-Time Fruit wasn’t built for combat, that didn’t make her helpless. She’d mastered all Six Powers and was a skilled swordswoman—Shin had even lent her Enma temporarily.
————
“Now I can just sit back and watch.” Shin lay comfortably on a beach chair, completely relaxed.
He didn’t need to act. Seeing Olvia and Hancock suppress Big Mom, he was confident they could handle her even without his help. The Kuja Pirates had grown to this point; even without him, they were no weaker than the other Emperors.
The thundercloud Zeus and the sun Prometheus suddenly joined forces, unleashing a powerful thunderstorm at Hancock and Olvia.
“Hancock, I’ll block the thunderstorm,” Olvia said to Hancock.
Hancock nodded.
She knew this wouldn’t be a problem for Olvia—it would actually help her. As a Rumble-Rumble Fruit user, Olvia was lightning incarnate. How could she be afraid of her own element?
In fact, after absorbing the power of the thunderstorm, Olvia became even stronger. The storm was like a power-up for her.
“<One Billion Volt: Amaru!>”
A giant made of lightning appeared in this sea area, the raging lightning stirring up a storm. The lightning giant’s fist struck towards Big Mom.
“You think you can dodge that? Not so easy—Slave Arrow!”
Hancock saw Big Mom trying to dodge and used Slave Arrow to block all of her escape routes.
Big Mom’s face was ferocious.
“<Elbaf Spear: Ikoku Sovereignty!>”
This was a technique from the giants of Elbaf—a massive sword wave that could cut through anything. The lightning giant’s fist was sliced clean in half by Big Mom’s single strike, but the giant sword in her hand also shattered completely.
That sword was Napoleon, her bicorne hat, which meant Napoleon had been destroyed.
“DIE!”
Hancock’s sword slashed at Big Mom. While Big Mom was focused on Olvia, Hancock struck from her blind spot. Two fighters working together were far more effective than the sum of their parts.
Hancock sent Big Mom flying with a single slash, then stared at her.
“She’s not injured?” Hancock was a bit incredulous. Big Mom’s defense was too strong. Was her Armament Haki that powerful?
Hancock had gone all out just now, holding nothing back. Her arm was still numb from the impact, but the results were pathetically disappointing.
The remaining Big Mom Pirates, seeing their captain unharmed, all breathed a sigh of relief. They knew that if their mother fell, they would lose.
