Chapter 2728: The Frozen Kingdom Under Siege V

Aurgelmir did not stop with burning up the God of War Tyr as he believed eliminating this powerful threat should be priority. Any god of war is incredibly difficult to kill as their bodies are literally made for battle. The fact that even his flaming breath could not melt the skin of the being before him is already proof enough that killing them is difficult.

Aurgelmir did not feel pity to the screaming god of war though as he already signed up for his. Aurgelmir will deal with enemies of his beloved and will not turn away from violence if need be. They were already warned by his beloved but they dared to attack her despite all that. He wanted to jump in battle earlier but the Ice Queen Elona forbid him from interfering due to his connection with the Asgardian gods.

The Ice Queen Elona already knew that Aurgelmir is just Ymir reborn. Aurgelmir did not hide anything from her and he even told her the history of how he came to be in this new body. The Ice Queen Elona did not want Aurgelmir to fight as he might become the target of the Asgardian Gods but the latter felt the need to intervene. The kingdom’s barrier is starting to weaken as the Asgardian gods are actually more powerful in terms of fighting power compared to them.

Aurgelmir believed that killing the source of that empowerment would give them a slighter edge. This is the reason why he showed up before the God of War Tyr as his mere presence in the battlefield is strengthening the forces of Asgard. Even if Brunhild used all of her abilities to force the God of War Tyr far away from the main battlefield, the blessing of war that he gives is still potent enough to increase the fighting power of Asgard.

“So, you really have appeared once again. To think that you were not killed back then. It is a situation that angers me very much!” A voice suddenly stated as a conspiracy of ravens suddenly gathered around the God of War Tyr.

The conspiracy of ravens then covered the God of War Tyr until he could no longer be seen. Aurgelmir tried to burn the ravens alive but a powerful mystical barrier enveloped them which made them immune from the fire. The ravens then created a portal beneath the God of War Tyr and sent him away via a small scale Bifrost.

Aurgelmir could only regret that he was unable to kill the God of War Tyr but that does not mean he will not destroy all of these ravens. He immediately knew who was the one that interfered with him killing the God of War Tyr. The god that killed his former self and the god king of all of Asgard.

“Are you not going to greet me, one eyed freak?! Afraid that I will take out your other eye?” Aurgelmir stated which made all of the raven screech in anger towards him.

“I am not afraid of you, Ymir. I shall drive a spear into your body once more if need be.” The God King Odin or rather a magical clone of him made of fused ravens stated as it appeared before Aurgelmir.

“You are not even the real thing.” Aurgelmir stated as he brought his large hammer and then swung it towards the clone of the God King Odin.

The clone of the God King Odin then smiled as it actually blocked the heavy hit that Aurgelmir made with his hammer. Even Aurgelmir did not expect that a mere clone of his archenemy could easily handle one of his hammer swings. This clone of the God King Odin before him is not simple as it actually contained a part of his divine soul.

“You actually used soul transference on a clone?! It seems that you still hate me for what had happened to your brothers.” Aurgelmir stated which immediately triggered the anger of the clone of the God King Odin.

“You shall not speak ill of my brothers! You should have remained dead.” The clone of the God King Odin stated as it released spells that created spears to hit Aurgelmir.

Aurgelmir did not even bother to dodge the spears because he knew that they were weak. The spears did not even pierce his body or damage it. He just felt like there were some fingers massaging parts of his body.

“You should have come here yourself and not just a piece of your divine soul.” Aurgelmir stated as he actually imbued his mana into the hammer even more and slammed it into the clone of the God King Odin.

With just one powerful swing, Aurgelmir destroyed the clone of the God King Odin and all of the magic circles it created fizzled out. The strike that was blocked earlier only contained pure physical strength but this one also contained his mana. This hammer strike is two times more powerful compared to the one that the clone of the God King Odin blocked earlier.

“As expected, I am unable to kill you with just a clone.” A raven suddenly stated as it carried the voice of the God King Odin.

“If you want to kill me again then raise your brothers from the grave and lose another eye.” Aurgelmir taunted but the God King Odin did not fall for the clear provocation because he already prepared another enemy for the former.

“Do not believe that I cannot send others to kill your pathetic self now, Ymir. You are no longer as powerful as me at your prime and I have a beast that needs to be fed beings with divine energy anyways. Do you know of the calamity known as the Beast of Ogdoad?” The raven that carried the voice of the God King Odin stated as it suddenly gathered more ravens and created another Bifrost which is bigger than the one that carried the God of War Tyr away.
