Chapter 2775: The End of Asgard

The Titan of Ice and Mischief Loki, the World Boss Fenrir Unchained, Skoll, and Hati all charged towards the Flame Giant Surtr. They had to stop the Flame Giant Surtr from plunging his sword deep into the divine domain of Asgard. The reason that all of them risked their lives from doing this is one secret that the Titan of Ice and Mischief Loki kept from all of the beings here.

The Titan of Ice and Mischief Loki could only become a titan without any problems because his divine source is tied to the divine realm of Asgard. This is the same for the World Boss Fenrir Unchained which means all beings summoned by him is also tied to the divine realm of Asgard. In essence, the only reason the Titan of Ice and Mischief Loki, the World Boss Fenrir Unchained, Skoll, and Hati are alive is due to the fact that they are one with the divine realm of Asgard.

If they were not directly linked to the divine realm of Asgard then all of them would have perished by now. The heat produced by the Flame Giant Surtr in his final moments is not something that even a high god can tolerate. Even Noblesse demons like Elder Ascalor had to escape immediately when the Flame Giant Surtr was becoming critical.

“THIS CANNOT BE THE END! MY KINGDOM!” The Titan of Ice and Mischief Loki shouted which revealed all of what he really valued.

The Titan of Ice and Mischief Loki did not value his children that died or his subjects. All he cared about is that his divine kingdom would be erased from existence. He knew that the Flame Giant Surtr would demolish everything in sight and will not leave anything. The Titan of Ice and Mischief Loki could be said to be Asgard itself at this point as he is powered by the divine domain to stay alive.

The Titan of Ice and Mischief Loki and the other divine beings could not stop the Flame Giant Surtr though. Even if his body got hit by the attacks of the World Boss Fenrir Unchained, the flaming sword plunged into the ground and the Flame Giant Surtr exploded. Flaming divine energy erupted from the body of the Flame Giant Surtr and it also made the entire divine realm of Asgard explode in flames.

The World Boss Fenrir Unchained, Skoll, and Hati were all swept up by the explosion and turned to ash in an instant. Nothing remained of the divine wolves as even their bones turned to ash and that ash got incinerated until nothing is left. The divine bodies that littered the divine realm of Asgard are also engulfed in flames and they were erased without a trace.

The Titan of Ice and Mischief Loki is different though as he was literally hanging on as his body is engulfed in flames and his soul burned in the seething heat. He watched as the kingdom he yearned, betrayed for, and sacrificed everything has turned to ashes. The Titan of Ice and Mischief Loki did not die as his entire body is now experiencing agonizing pain but he did not die immediately like the rest.

“It seems that you were cursed like me. Except, I can now be at peace. I can see you now, my brethren.” The Flame Giant Surtr stated as his body turned into pure flames and vanished from his location with a smile.

The words of the Flame Giant Surtr echoed in the head of the Titan of Ice and Mischief Loki. The Flame Giant Surtr said that he was cursed just like the Titan of Ice and Mischief Loki but their curses are different. The Flame Giant Surtr entered a covenant with the Norns which made everything he accumulated given without pain. He might have emotional pains and burdens but he did not have any physical pain. One can even say that the Norns have blessed the Flame Giant Surtr until his time came.

The Titan of Ice and Mischief Loki is cursed by the Norns with agonizing pain that also broke his mind. The Norns made sure to have the Titan of Ice and Mischief Loki what true suffering really is. They even doubled down when he became a titan as they also disliked the titans very much. This made their animosity towards the Titan of Ice and Mischief Loki escalate to a degree that they showed him the consequences of his actions.

The Titan of Ice and Mischief Loki’s body burned in flames that cannot be put out. Even if his body is somewhat made of ice, the heat permeated to the point that he wanted to just die. Not only his body but also his soul is burning because it is connected to Asgard. It felt like all of his insides are also being assaulted by numerous grinding needles. The Titan of Ice and Mischief Loki was not having the time of his life as he laid on the flaming divine realm pathetically.

“My… king…dom!” The Titan of Ice and Mischief Loki muttered weakly as he could not even make his hand rise up.

The northern warriors and the allied beings that came to the northern continent watched as the most fearsome being that they were battling earlier is now lying pathetically on the ground as his body is also burning. Adrian then looked up instinctively or as if he was sending a message. As if they were afraid, the gods that spectated and even the titans that saw what happened via the rift flinched.

The gods and titans did not know why but the demon mediator looked like he was sending a message. Some gods turned around and left while others took the look that Adrian give as a challenge. The titans just looked menacingly at Adrian even though they did not know what was the idea inside the demon mediator’s head.

“How are we going to close that rift?” Adrian thought as a complex expression appeared on his face as that rift in the sky is not easy to repair.

The scene of Asgard burning to ashes continued on for an hour until nothing was left. The Titan of Ice and Mischief Loki was still alive though but all of the vigor in his body is gone. Adrian flew towards the weakened Titan of Ice and Mischief Loki and saw that there was nothing left on that body but an empty shell. The divine soul of the Titan of Ice and Mischief Loki has already burned to nothing just like Asgard.

[The World Boss Fenrir Unchained has been incinerated into nothingness.]

[The Sun Devouring Wolf Skoll has been incinerated into nothingness.]

[The Moon Devouring Wolf Hati has been incinerated into nothingness.]

[The Titan of Ice and Mischief Loki has been extinguished from existence.]

[All divine relics that is connected to the Titan of Ice and Mischief Loki have lost all effect.]

[All curses, blessings, and spells that are still active due to the Titan of Ice and Mischief Loki have been dispelled.]

[The Asgardian Faction has been exterminated with no one to lead it.]

[The Asgardian Faction is no more and all benefits that members have from it will also disappear.]

[The Divine Realm of Asgard has been destroyed completely.]

[Everything related to the divine realm of Asgard will lose their power.]

The divine wolves extinguished forever as even their divine souls could not enter the afterlife. The Titan of Ice and Mischief Loki also suffered the same fate. Their souls would not have been extinguished if any of the death realms actually invited them in but they were all refused. The Goddess of Death Hel would have accepted their souls but her father has slighted her for the last time.

With no one left to accept their souls, the only option for the three would become wandering souls but that cannot happen. The souls of the four beings were all directly hit by the flame explosion created by the Flame Giant Surtr’s death. The sous of the four were already in the brink of extinction and the only saving grace was for them to be sent to a death realm. Unfortunately, no god or goddess of death welcomed them which is why their souls returned to nothingness.

“As the mediator wanted, I did not accept their souls into my death realm. I have finished cleaning up the souls of the others but there are some that I do not have any jurisdiction of.” The Goddess of Death Hel stated as she already collected the souls of the other Asgardians that burned to their deaths. The souls that she says that she has no jurisdiction over are those of the Asuras and the Fomorians.

“I can take care of the souls of those. You did excellent work in rounding up all of the souls and everything is accounted for. You can now return back to your death realm. I trust that no god and goddess of death should bother you from now on regarding duties. I can hear you complaining.” Adrian stated but it is also a jab at the gods and goddesses of death that were still saying things behind the Goddess of Death Hel’s back.
