One Piece - I Am A Different Luffy!

Egghead.

“Transmission starting!”

Suddenly, Vegapunk appeared once again on a big screen in various parts of the world, while people waited for about ten minutes until it began, still unaware of the fight taking place right then in Egghead.

People looked surprised as they waited for the scientist to begin, now that he had returned, wondering what he would suddenly announce.

“My name is Vegapunk and I’m doing this because it’s possible that I’m dead at this very moment, and I wanted to deliver this to the world. The World Government is right now advancing through Egghead to kill me. If the Straw Hats haven’t reached this point in the transmission, I’m dead.”

He began the announcement, which already raised questions and gasps.

“Well, what I have to say today is of utmost importance, so I would like everyone to pay attention. Some may even laugh and mock, but I believe everyone should have the right to hear this.

So, in five months, there will be an earthquake that will shake the entire world. And its effect… will be that the sea will rise one meter above its current level.

Even just that will be a cataclysm for every region of the world, because it will sink several islands, and all beaches will cease to exist at that moment…”

“And what I mean by all this…” he began, while people stood there in doubt, shocked by his prediction.

Despite that, some thought it was nonsense and viewed everything with skepticism.

“It’s that…” Vegapunk continued.

“It’s that one day… the entire world as we know it today is destined to be swallowed by the sea. And all the islands along with it!” he exclaimed to everyone.

“What is this guy talking about?”

“What nonsense is this?”

“Is he saying the world is going to end?!”

People shouted in various parts of the world, some even furious with such a prediction.

“Listen. If the earthquake happens as I predicted, then take my words seriously. Otherwise, ignore everything I say from this moment on.

Because what I have to say now is about the Void Century,” Vegapunk exclaimed.

“Everything I discovered is related to the war that happened more than seven hundred years ago, where a man named Joy Boy was born in a kingdom with technology more advanced than any other in the world today.”

“Joy Boy was his name, and he fought by stretching his body…

A war then began for reasons I do not know, and he led his kingdom and its allies against the current World Government, on a global scale, where the result of 100 years of war… the sea rose two hundred meters…

I say this because the world was not like this initially, but rather a vast union of entire continents that was reduced to small islands scattered across the world!”

“Unfortunately, in the war, ancient weapons were used that made the sea rise many more meters, destroying all the continents we once knew.

A century shouldn’t just disappear like that. However, they erased all its culture, its history…

We can conclude that it may be deeply hidden beneath the waters we now sail.”

“We can only learn information about that time through the Poneglyphs, and that’s where my conclusions found some success. I don’t have information about everything, not even close, but I do know things I managed to deduce — left behind back then for the people of the future, so they could revisit history.”

“Until now, I believed that no one could know that story besides, probably, the World Government itself and its records. But they don’t have access to that information either. However, I believe a group managed to obtain knowledge about the entire Void Century — and it was none other than the pirates from the former crew of the Pirate King himself! Gol D. Roger!”

That information seemed to shake the world, immediately bringing out a wide range of expressions.

While some people still shouted in skepticism, others were extremely surprised, exclaiming questions into the air from within the crowds that surrounded the giant screens in every corner, as the Government tried everything to prevent this news from spreading.

They were trying to block the transmitters at that very moment.

But it was already too late, as the entire world was now hearing the words of the scientist Vegapunk.

“Quick, we must stop this!” screamed one of the Elders in desperation, as he was buried in the ground, taking punches from Lucy — hitting him harder and harder while she broke him and laughed.

“So fun! A squashed piglet!” she said while in her giant form, creating a huge crater with the boar curled up inside, full of wounds and blood.

A lightning bolt was fired upward, hitting the clouds and passing close to Vegapunk’s lab, shooting into the sky, coming dangerously near.

Vegapunk looked at it and hugged the first person near him, scared, while Luffy’s crew members stared at it in fear too.

At the same time, Mors didn’t even have time to react as he had missed his target, pointing his beak upward from the ground, while Yamato struck him straight in the head with her Kanabo to stun him.

He lost part of his face with a punch so powerful that Yamato gave him, blowing up the entire ground as he began to regenerate.

But she wouldn’t let him react, attacking again with more blows and, as she had learned, burying him in the ground so he wouldn’t attack the island again from above. His beak had been destroyed at that moment.

Suddenly, a slash appeared in the cloud from Nusjuro’s blade, swinging his sword at Zoro, as both blades collided in an explosion of Haki.

Zoro was surprised when he easily passed through the enemy’s attack and slashed his hand and entire torso, blood gushing everywhere, as the swordsman appeared behind the skeletal creature.

“That bastard…” Zoro muttered with his eyes opening in anger. Zoro knew he had let that happen in order to launch an attack on the island above, and he had barely deflected it at the right angle.

It was at that moment the clouds split in two — revealing why Zoro had been so frustrated.

He had taken the attack to try to destroy the lab, but Zoro managed to redirect it downward in the final milliseconds.

The swordsman stared at half of the cloud island, now split in half.

The other Elders couldn’t launch long-range attacks like the last ones. They were in a very difficult situation, while Saturn was getting beaten continuously.

Peter wasn’t in an easy spot either. He took a punch and flew several meters, breaking everything in his path.

Luffy was satisfied, watching the worm covered in blood streaming down his body. His eyes turned to the screens in the city itself, and he was also interested in Vegapunk’s message.

Luffy then looked at the screens on the island right there.

“I see Vegapunk is very cautious, he even expected his own death after I said I’d help him…”

Luffy grinned at that.

“But no denying this is quite the show!” he said. He wasn’t angry — in fact, he found it all very interesting.

While the entire world was receiving information with the revelation that the pirates who had sailed during the Void Century had discovered, through the One Piece, the history of this world.

“It was Gol D. Roger’s pirates who knew the whole truth… which raises many questions…” said Vegapunk at the end of the speech, as he asked:

“Why didn’t they do anything if they knew something? Why did they just disband? Why did Roger surrender? Exactly to deliver his final message to the world…”

“The only conclusion I can give is…” Vegapunk continued,

“…is that Gol D. Roger was betting on the future. That’s why he passed the burden forward, so someone else would discover it. So, the conclusion I’ve come to is that…”

He left the world anxious, now more than ever before.

“Stop him! Don’t let him continue!”

Suddenly, without any warning… a voice emerged above Egghead Island. Everyone looked to the sky at a scream that came directly from the clouds.

“That…” Luffy murmured, shocked, as he looked up. Despite only seeing white clouds ahead, he knew that scream had come from the sky above the island.

His eyes returned to the blonde woman. He was shocked to see her fallen on the ground, her sword slipping from her hand as she trembled. Her expression was pure fear. Luffy could never have imagined such a sudden change in her.

All the Elders immediately swallowed hard, and Imu-Sama had given a direct order to them right there.

But what could they do? They were all fleeing, suffering at that exact moment.

The Dawn Pirates were far more powerful than they had previously predicted. They were getting beaten by all of them.

Luffy was about to return to fight Peter to push him further, while the blonde woman tried to get up, filled with dread.

But Luffy’s gaze was still fixed on his companion.

There was something wrong there, and her hands kept trembling.

“…The conclusion I can draw is that whoever is destined to find the final Poneglyph will be the one to make a decision about this world.

The one who will hold the truth about the Void Century — whether to use it against the World Government or not, whoever finds that treasure will have the power to do so.”

“The ancient weapons that once destroyed this world are still out there. Not even I can replicate them, which highlights how advanced the technology of that era truly was. And Joy Boy entrusted those weapons to the future, for someone to use them.”

“And soon, they may indeed be used. I believe that, finally, in this generation — with the new pirates ruling the seas — the past war will be continued. One of them will find the final Poneglyph. And when that happens, a war that will shake the entire world will begin. I have no doubt about it.”

“There is a message I want to give to the ‘D’s’, who are the remaining clans from that era…”

Suddenly, the screen began to glitch, short-circuiting and preventing Vegapunk from saying anything further. Cameras flickered in and out.

“Hey! The transmission is ending! He didn’t finish!” people exclaimed, not understanding what was happening.

It was then that an event capable of changing the course of the current battle began in Egghead at that very moment.

An explosion of Haki burst in every direction, catching everyone off guard — even Luffy. He felt his body begin to be pushed back. His gaze was dazed as he stared directly at the one generating such Haki.

“What is this?” he murmured, unsure of what he was seeing, while the blonde woman was there, erupting in Haki — a Haki she shouldn’t have had. This caught everyone’s attention on the island, all of them feeling the pressure.

“What is this? Am I… am I scared…?” Zoro murmured in disbelief, stunned, as the Haki kept exploding and the entire atmosphere felt like it was pressing everyone down.

Everyone on the island was terrified by it — even Luffy was shocked, struggling not to kneel.

“Who are you, really?” He, being closer to the blonde than anyone else, let it slip, wide-eyed, as he saw the blonde raise her head. Her eyes were now red, unlike the golden before.

He knew — that was no longer his new companion. Someone else was in her body.

Suddenly, everything darkened. It felt like the whole world was bending to that person’s will.

“Imu-Sama!” all the Elders shouted in unison, trying to kneel, though they were all still wounded.

Even the Dawn Pirates began to stop fighting, staring in shock at a small woman in the distance — generating a Haki that seemed to alter the world itself.

A Haki more powerful than anyone had ever felt.

A Haki even stronger than Luffy’s.
