Paragon of Sin

Chapter 1976 Chapter 1968: Calculation of Merit & Gains (1)

Chapter 1976 Chapter 1968: Calculation of Merit & Gains (1)

Time flowed with the grace of water, allowing three whole days to feel the river of tomorrow. During this tender period for those at the losing end of an explosively sudden war of creation, sighs of relief, frustration, anger, helplessness, and acceptance occurred countless times.

And the cause of it all was in his palatial abode, resting comfortably in the company of not one, not two, but three women. They slumbered out of satisfied exhaustion, but the person responsible was wide awake without the slightest hint of tiredness anywhere. A refined body of a Stellar Paragon was born based on recovery and limitless evolution to withstand increasingly higher grades, quantity, and volatile energies.

After Magus' birth, the Mark of Eden had become a part of its foundation, thereby granting his physical energies an unprecedentedly pure lifeforce. A single drop of his blood would be a heavenly tonic, no different than the purest heavenly liquids of the transcendent Mystic-Earth grade.

When it came to stamina, he was peerless in his cultivation realm. And while he would never admit such things, always viewing the world through the lens of infinite possibilities and even greater avenues of potential, if he were to declare it openly, not even the great dao of Mysticism would disagree.

'My...lust...' Wei Wuyin thoughtfully pondered with a raised hand, palm facing the ceiling, as he rubbed his left arm with his right. The faint wisps of sinful energy flashed with the briefness of a nanosecond flicker of light. Hearing the gentle breathing of Tilly and the teacher-student duo from somewhere in this Battlefield, both of whom were Blessed individuals of relatively mid-tier, he inhaled sharply before gradually releasing a soft exhale.

He was intrigued by their joint Blessed status, drawing his attention, and then everything else went naturally. Both were chaste virgins prior. Within a single meeting, their principles were blown away. However, he didn't think less of them. As someone who could read their minds, they were the ambitious sort and had even stealthily discussed this possibility.

He was, after all, someone who declared himself as a Heavenly Saint Alchemist, while they were only a Highlord of Mysticism and a Starlord. A single favor from him was far greater than exhausting every ounce of their Karmic Luck Value a thousand times over.

'Understand that you, as a partner, are defined by what you can offer. Be it pure love, loyalty, wealth, protection, or anything else. Be proud of what you have. Be even prouder that others wish to bask in your brilliance.' Wei Wuyin recalled the words of Mei Mei. She had guided him very early on regarding the principles of leadership and relationships.

She allowed him to understand that transactional relationships weren't inherently wrong, while simultaneously highlighting that true emotions were equally important, and there was nothing to fear for allowing it to seed and grow into something wondrous.

She was a realist, pragmatic, and straightforward, but sometimes she showcased idealistic ideals that balanced themselves out. As someone driven by revenge at a young age and beset by suicidal ideation soon after completing his task, he needed these strong foundations by which to build his character and sense of purpose. It allowed him to grow a force, but also love.

...before the Calamities of Hell began lurking in his shadows.

"How are you feeling?" King's voice resounded stealthily within his mind, evading the senses of the others.

Magus and Eden were currently unoccupied to an extreme degree, tasked with compiling and organizing the gargantuan quantity of knowledge they had extracted as spoils of war. While it was only from a few stellar regions, acquiring these legacies was abnormally difficult otherwise. The losers of the war offered their knowledge with whispering grievance, but they handed it over nonetheless. Others saw this as an opportunity, banking on the faint yet unlikely possibility that Wei Wuyin was indeed a Heavenly Saint Alchemist.

Ori and Kratos assisted them. Kratos was forging the foundations of a variant Internal World. Magus wanted to leverage that new spatial realm to act as a testing ground for various experiments, as theoretical knowledge could only go so far without practical testing. Magus wanted to leverage that new spatial realm to act as a testing ground for various experiments, as theoretical knowledge could only go so far without practical testing. An Internal World was no different than a subspace, but Kratos' World was bound to be different, especially since it originates from a Bloodline Ability.

Kratos initially referred to it as an Infinite Void World. However, the name was up for debate as Magus argued the stale naming sense Kratos had, floating the idea of using the Primordial Expanse. At the beginning, Kratos was very against naming it differently, but after hearing it, the tyrannical true dragon silently accented with deep grunts and reverberating roars.

With four Mystic Souls occupied, King was left remaining. And this lone Spirit of Cultivation spoke directly to him. The spirit that treated words as gold was taking the initiative to speak, and this was a sign that Wei Wuyin always took seriously. Staring at the Bloodline of Sin tattoos, a wry smile tugged at his lips.

"How am I feeling? I don't know." Wei Wuyin answered honestly.

"Insatiable? Uncontrollable? Excessive urges of impulse?" King inquired sharply. Lately, Wei Wuyin had been indulging without hesitation. The Mystic Souls saw no issue with this, their cultivation was an incessant activity regardless of whether Wei Wuyin took the reins or not. Even now, King was digesting a few transcendent-quality products of the Mortal-Rank and peak-perfection Mystic-Earth and Mystic-World products.

Every passing second was a continuous activity of cultivation due to their fairly independent sapience and sentience, capable of digesting and refining materials and products. This was especially so since they had access to all of Wei Wuyin's resources.

"..." Wei Wuyin observed the wiggling movement of his fingers, sensing his control over it. In the end, he shook his head. "I've never─NEVER lost control of my will. I've always expressed myself as I will. Whether it's restraint or indulgence."

If there was anything that Wei Wuyin genuinely prided himself over, it was his expression of free will unbent by others' influence. He has always been aware of these influences and willingly acted in favor of or against. In fact, the Primordial Seed of Sin: Lust itself was the greatest evidence of his ability to exert his will against external influences and shape his own fate.

He wasn't chosen without reason.

"What is it then? Your plan here has been achieved. Our cultivation has been progressing without issue. What's causing your questioning of self?" King was acute with its senses, asking premium questions with great precision.

"Questioning of self?" Wei Wuyin echoed again. Contemplating for a few minutes, he excavated an answer: "My Bloodline of Sins has been producing beneficial energy since I've fully entered the Mystic Ascendant Realm for partaking in the essence of sin. Lust. Pride. They've rewarded me by bolstering my soul. I don't have any problems pursuing these avenues as long as they coincide with my objective. Which, at this point, has been doing so nicely. But I'm feeling something familiar."

"Familiar?"

Wei Wuyin inhaled as he lifted the upper half of his body to an upright position, using gentle mana to slide the heads and hands of those slumbering beside him. "I feel like something has found me again."

"..." King silently pondered. In the background, as his Spirit of Cultivation, it was actively browsing the mental, spiritual, physical, and essence reactions that unfolded in the past few days. This was something that even Wei Wuyin would find difficult to do, a depth of introspective analysis that only a Spirit of Cultivation could achieve without practice.

Every minute change was highlighted. Within two seconds, every detail was experienced.

"Your instincts have always been reliable," King pointed out. This was something they didn't have at full power, only in scant levels. That uncanny intuition. It was hard to say if it originated from his bloodline of a True Void Dragon that was tethered to the endless information within the World, the bloodline of a Magi that was intimately related to Creation-a primeval existence, or an Anima-Devourer that was mysterious in its own right.

It might be all three.

It could involve more, including his dual Bloodline of Sin or his Awakened True Soul since he was a mortal at the Qi Condensation Phase, perhaps his status as a Blessed designed by the Heavenly Daos.

Wei Wuyin trusted King to find any irregularities. Then, King released a saber howl that stirred his blood. Kratos popped its senses out, seeking the cause, but after seeing King take action, it went back to work on the Primordial

Expanse.

"I found it," King solemnly announced.

"..." Wei Wuyin readied his heart.

King said, "Your body, the faint fluctuation of your soul, the quivering of your Sea of Consciousness, the slight thrumming of the energies within your body. They all coincide with two other experiences, almost to an exactness."

"Almost?"

"Almost. The first time was slightly different. It was caused by someone else," King explained. Upon saying this, Wei Wuyin's pupils focused.

"Another Primordial Seed of Sin?" Wei Wuyin's voice was heavy alongside his heart and soul. But how? Didn't he

always have two?

Wait...

He recalled the meeting with Black Skeleton all those years ago. She had three words when describing his dual Bloodline of Sin situation: "Rare, not impossible." This would suggest that there are those Inheritors of Sin that could naturally develop two Primordial Seeds of Sin! If his first was given to him, then he would be in line with

those dual Inheritors.

"Tch," King confirmed. The experiences of the soul, body, and mind when honed by a Primordial Seed of Sin were almost identical. Only a Spirit of Cultivation attuned so closely with every minute sensation and fluctuation could

determine this.

"But what sin?" Wei Wuyin didn't reject the theory, immediately accepting it and focusing on the next topic. He was always decisive in matters of grave importance.

"Tch," King answered honestly with a sound of: 'I don't know.'

"...fuck..." Wei Wuyin thought about the Rite of Sin and the grave consequences of failing to acquire the approval of a Primordial Seed of Sin-extraction of bloodline. This was synonymous with existential erasure. Was he strong enough currently to resist the Black Skeleton or the laws governed by these seeds?

An urgency swelled within his chest. 'I have to make preparations.'

Meanwhile, the flow of legacies, lineages, and insights of the various Daos was constantly entering his possession.

All of it. Everything. And Magus and Eden were over the moon with excitement despite working fiercely to organize

and digest it all.

Those crystals were connected directly to the Palatial Library, which was Magus' Mystic Form.

"It's time to move on to the Outer Battlefield," Wei Wuyin resolved to progress further, no longer desiring to lag

behind his original timeline.
