Chapter 1004: Quest Complete [Bonus]
Chapter 1004: Quest Complete [Bonus]
“And that is a wrap,” Kent said, adding the last beast to his taming bracelet and activating all three benefits for them.
The moment the last beast was added, making 50, the quest was also complete, releasing all rewards to Kent’s soul Universe.
Kent saw all this, and all he could do was smile.
When he received the quest, he expected it to be extremely dangerous. However, aside from the initial battle with Sylvara and her subordinates, the rest were fairly easy.
Of course, he suffered some injuries from his duel with Balrion, but as more beasts were added to his taming bracelet, his strength also grew explosive.
Now that the quest was completed, all the beasts Kent had added to his taming bracelet felt their strength rise by 800%, while Kent received a 1,200% increase.
The feeling alone was enough to tell the 50 beasts they had made the right choice.
“Ignarok, I will need seven more female dragons. Each should be a Tier 19 beast.”
“I will handle that, Lord Chaos.”
Kent nodded, and Ignarok left.
If Kent is anything, then that will be Overprotective.
He knew he would soon be leaving the past behind and probably wouldn’t return for a while, so he wanted to ensure that those he planned to share his full name with would be protected.
He had already secured protection for Commander Agnes, but there are others, too, so he is planning to use the Supreme Beast Contracts to tame some beasts for them.
Only then would he be okay leaving them in the past.
Kent has things to do in the future, too, so he can only leave the past in safe hands. Who knows, one of these days, he might just need help, and one of these beasts will be nearby to help him.
“So what next?” Sylvara asked.
“Thanks to Kaelith, I still have 10 days to spend here. Since all ingredients for the Soul Strengthening Pill have been found, I will start working on those pills.”
“Can I watch?” Sylvara asked again with puppy eyes. Clearly, her humanity has reached a new level, making her extremely cute.
“Of course.”
“Can I also watch?” Vey asked, making sure Kent knew she was there as well.
Of course, Sylvara glared at her, but Kent allowed her to stay. In the end, Zeraphine also joined them, with the male Monarch joining Ignarok to look for the rest of the ingredients.
Kent didn’t mind this arrangement.
Having beauties by his side as he works on concocting pills isn’t too bad.
This time, he would be using his Tier 13 Soul Flame, so the process was bound to go smoothly.
In no time, Kent started working on making pills.
—
Meanwhile, back on Planet Nictus, Lady Kami and her daughter, Lady Azela, stood at the sect’s entrance, gazing at three figures who were glaring back at them.
“I don’t suppose we have any meetings with the likes of you,” Lady Kami said, her tone cold and foul as she looked at a figure she would rather not want to interact with.
The person is not a human or an Elf but a Vampire. He is pale, with crimson eyes, flowing red-black robes, and silver fangs.
He is General Dravos, one of the six generals under the Planet King, a formidable figure by all standards.
“General Dravos, forgive my mother. She is in a rather bad mood after some men under General Veynor came and took away the soul puppet we wasted half our fortune on.”
Lady Azela said, holding her mom back.
She knew, despite her acting, her mom was fed up with these people, so activating the ’Damned Eye of Fate’ formation is just a hand seal away.
She didn’t want that to happen because, although she might succeed in killing one general, there are five more and several million warriors out there that can bring her sect to its knees within minutes.
Sometimes, diplomacy is the most effective approach.
General Dravos smiled, “I understand, Lady Azela. However, I didn’t come here to take something from you but rather to extend an invitation to you and your mother.”
General Dravos took out two envelopes made from leather and tossed them toward the mother and daughter.
They caught it, and in order to be done so, this hateful person could leave them alone; they opened the envelopes.
However, when they saw the contents, their faces paled, and anger bubbled up in their hearts.
Lightning surged in Lady Azela’s hand, reducing the contents in the envelope to nothing. Her mother also opened her palm, and flames surged, burning the letter.
However, General Dravos merely laughed.
“In three months, people will come to pick you up. Being selected as brides for the Planet King should be an honour.” With a laughter so loud that most of the disciples who heard it felt their bodies tense, General Dravos’s bat wing opened, and he took to the sky.
“The wedding dress will be sent over in two weeks.”
With that, he left with his two aides.
“Bastard… I will rather die than let myself become a wife to such filth of a man,” Lady Kami cursed, her expression contorting to one that was rather unbecoming for such a beauty.
“Who is there?” A bolt of lightning shot from Lady Azela’s eyes as she turned in a certain direction. However, it was neutralised by an invisible person.
“Relax, Sect Leader, I come in peace.” Commander Agnes stepped out of thin air, Yu Lan, her beast companion, following.
“Commander Agnes, sorry for attacking you… It was a lapse in judgment,” Lady Azela apologised.
“Don’t worry about it, Sect Leader. I should be the one apologising for intruding on your private matter.”
Lady Kami stepped before her daughter, shielding her. As a mother, it is her right to protect her daughter from someone she senses poses a danger to her.
This person, of course, is Yu Lan, who, because of the lightning attack, held a hostile look in her eyes.
“Relax, Yu Lan, they are friends.”
It was only after Commander Agnes said that she relaxed.
“Please, how can we be of help to you today?” Lady Kami asked.
“Nothing too serious. I am just here to deliver a message.”
“A message.” The mother and daughter furrowed their brows. “From who?”
“His name is Kent.”
“What. Is he alright? Did something happen to him?” The two ladies became happy upon hearing a familiar name, but they couldn’t help but worry.
Commander Agnes seemed surprised by their reaction, but she merely smiled and answered.
“Kent is fine… well, more than fine if you ask me. He is like a shark swimming in the Flame Sea.” She chuckled.
Even now, she couldn’t wrap her mind around how someone who is only at the Core Formation stage could tame and get chummy with a Monarch.
“Please, what is the message?” Lady Azela asked.
“A rather shameless message, but because he saved me, I will say exactly what he said I should say.” Commander Agnes’s cheeks turned red from sheer embarrassment.
“He said I should tell you, and I quote, ’Lady Azela, don’t miss me too much. I promise to come back to you soon and, like I promised, I will take you off your mom’s hands.
Of course, if you can put in a few words for me, I might just make it a mother-daughter affair. See you later, and you can trust Commander Agnes and her overly protective sister Yu Lan.’”
By the time she was done, the mother and daughter couldn’t find a place to hide their embarrassed expressions.
Yu Lan stood behind Commander Agnes, her expression calm, but she couldn’t help wondering why these ladies looked like their cheeks were about to explode.
