Chapter 1057: Loose Ends
[Brown Maple Auction House – Kent and Lady Wu]
After completing his quest and getting seven more worlds linked to his guardian tower, thereby allowing him to start earning soul essence from them, Kent started tying up loose ends.
He had already made up his mind to secure a good future, one where his wives and people in his life back in the future wouldn’t struggle the moment he ascended.
Kent wanted to make good friends, but not just any friends — those he could trust, because while they hadn’t reached the level he knew they would yet, when they do, the one who would make a big impact in their lives was him…
Kent seeks to build that loyalty in them before they meet again.
So the first person he went to see was Lady Wu, the woman at the auction house who oversaw the soul spirits he had put up for auction.
“Good to see you again, Lady Wu,” Kent said, seated in a VIP room, taking a sip of the tea served to him by Lady Wu. Today is not an auction day, so she was very free.
Of course, even if there was an auction, meeting someone like Kent would be her top priority.
“It is good to see you, too, Kent.” She was a little curious about why Kent returned so early. According to the schedule he set when they last parted, Kent still had about a month before he would come to see her again.
But because he completed his quest early, that schedule was thrown out the window.

“Are you leaving?”

“I see.” A sad look appeared on her face, “And where would you be going? Will I see you again?”
The smile on Kent’s face brightened, “Of course, you will be seeing me again. Although I will be going to a faraway place, I know one day we will meet again, so don’t be sad.”

“But before I leave, I want you to have these,” Kent waved his hand, and loads of stuff appeared. Lady Wu’s eyes widened the moment she saw the items displayed before her.
“Flame crystals, lotus flame seeds, lotus flame petals, flame spirits… is that a primordial flame seed?” The shock she was in just multiplied…
Kent smiled, “Yes. These three are low-grade primordial flame seeds, and the other flame spirits are all Tier 19. The rest, you will have to take your time to go through them all.
However, you mustn’t sell them all at once. I don’t know how you are going to do it, but I believe with this much, by the time we meet again, you will become a powerhouse in the auction business.”
Kent also retrieved a device used to hold soul spirits and handed it to her…
Inside it were 100 Tier 18 and 50 Tier 19 soul spirits. When Lady Wu saw this, she nearly collapsed. Kent only smiled at her and retrieved the last thing.
It was one of the beasts he had tamed. He asked this particular beast to become Lady Wu’s assistant and guard. She is a phoenix with the ability to blend in with humans.
She would be perfect for the role.
After Kent and this phoenix lady spent 10 minutes calming Lady Wu’s beating heart down, she named the phoenix Vega…
“If you have what it takes to buy the Brown Maple Auction House, do it. Later, when I am gone, more friends will come around to help you out.
They are trustworthy and people you would want around you.”
“Thank you, Kent,” Lady Wu said, tears falling down her face.
Kent wiped her tears and gave her his final goodbye… “When we meet again, I expect you to have a name that will even shake the hearts of immortals.”
“I will, Kent,” Lady Wu smiled.
Kent soon left and headed to the next place.

The next person Kent searched for was the lady who sold him the weapons at the Green Bridge Weapons Shop.
Naturally, Kent expected to struggle to find her, considering she had made such a sale worthy of earning the role of a manager of an entire store or even a fleet of stores.
However, he was shocked to find her still in a worker’s clothing, working in a much larger shop. They didn’t promote her; instead, they just sent her to a bigger shop where she would have to work ten times as hard.
When he saw her in the same uniform, Kent nearly destroyed the store. However, he calmed down and spoke to her first.
It was then that he found out her superior had taken credit for her sale and gotten a promotion while she was left to rot.
Kent immediately took her away to dinner and began brainstorming ways to change her future.
“How about I follow you home and become your maid? I am a good cook, I can also fight, and if you need me to warm your bed, I will, even though I am still a maiden,” Veth said, desperate not to part with the man who tried to change her life.
Even the commission Kent gave her was taken by her boss. So she was desperate…
Kent smiled, hearing her childish words…
“Don’t be silly, Veth. You are a beautiful woman who deserves the whole world. So while I would love to spend a night or two with you, I wouldn’t, mainly because you are asking out of desperation.
However, I will help you become your own person. Then, when you reach the level where even immortals have to be respectful to you, we can talk about becoming my maid who would cook and warm my bed.”
Veth nodded with an embarrassed expression. She was indeed desperate; however, hearing what Kent said made her even more embarrassed.
“I happen to have some connection with Two Pill Alliance. How about I build you a fancy store where you will sell pills?”
“Really?”
“Of course. And trust me, I will be building you a store that will make you a number one attraction.”
“Thank you, Kent.”
“Don’t mention it.”
Kent asked Pill King Flura to meet him in three days’ time. Once he is done with Veth, he will go to Planet Nictus.
However, when he returns to Planet Pyris, where he would spend his last days, he would introduce Veth to Pill King Flura and Pill Monarch Nefeli.
He would also draw a good building plan and leave enough money to build her a good store. As to whether she could expand her business and even ascend to an immortal world, that would depend on her determination.
After the dinner, Kent told her to go to the Pyris Pill Pagoda and ask for Yuna. She would be taken to Pill Monarch Nefeli, where she would wait for him.
Kent later left, using a planet teleporter that took just five minutes to reach Planet Nictus. Upon arrival, he first went to see the new queen of Planet Nictus, Princess Autumn, who was previously known as Commander Agnes.
She was with General Brianna when he arrived.
