Just like that, fifty years had passed inside the tower since Kent entered Selcusion. On the outside, two years and a month had passed. Not too long, but quite a long time for people living inside the tower.

Not that they cared. Their ages advanced based on the time outside, so despite fifty years passing, they were all only two years and a month older.

Kent, who had entered the Alchemy Tower to advance his understanding of the Alchemy path, sat silently, a deep golden flame burning on his forehead.

It had already been a year since he reached his fourth enlightenment. The plan was to gain only three enlightenments. However, Kent was swept away when he started enjoying pill making every time he emerged from an enlightenment.

The first enlightenment was on purification. He got to witness a true Pill Emperor purify pills. It was a mesmerizing display that left him in awe. This made him fall in love with Alchemy all over again.

So he became obsessed and started working hard on the purification process of pill making. Every step in alchemy is important. Not even a single step can be ignored.

However, the Purification stage is the point where the medicinal value of the pill is determined.

Without a good understanding of purification, a pill may appear 100% perfect, but its quality will pale in comparison to one made by someone with a good purification technique.

But it wasn’t just about making a pill more powerful in terms of medicinal value… The Pill Purification stage can also raise the grade of a pill.

Most alchemists, like Kent, use ingredients that match the grade of the pill they want to concoct. Tier 3 ingredients will be used to create Tier 3 pills, and Tier 4 ingredients will be used to develop Tier 4 pills.

However, what Kent was after was taking Tier 3 ingredients to concoct Tier 4 pills; it was, in fact, not an easy task, since the purification process had to be very thorough.

Of course, Kent suspected someone like the Pill Princess would have the prowess to do something like that, so he focused on that.

Kent wanted to advance his understanding of that, so for two months he tried, never stopping despite the failures he encountered along the way… until he succeeded and entered his second enlightenment.

This time, when he emerged, his focus shifted to something else. It appeared that to achieve what he was after, his understanding of flame control and manipulation must be at the ‘High’ or ‘Very High’ stage.

Even with that, he would only be able to go as far as Tier 8 pills. This meant he could use Tier 7 ingredients to concoct Tier 8 pills.

He became obsessed, and before he knew it, several months passed. Then his enlightenment came when he demonstrated great understanding of flame manipulation.

Yet again, after the third enlightenment, another roadblock arose, this time involving his soul flame. Understanding pill making is good, but having good flames is the best part.

Alchemy mainly depended on the strength of one’s soul…So it wasn’t surprising that he needed a soul flame. He was even planning on chasing after that one of these days. But now, he knew he must get it done before meeting the Pill Princess.

So far, the flames Kent was using were all Legendary grade. Good, but not the best. They couldn’t even help him concoct a Tier 9 pill.

After consulting the tower, he found out that to rise to the top, he must awaken his soul flame. He can use the external pill flames. However, soul flame is the best.

A soul flame is a spirit-grade flame that has no equal. Of course, it was estimated that every time a soul flame awakens, it can be regarded as a Rare flame.

However, it can be nourished with other flames.

This discovery made Kent even more determined to awaken his soul flame. So he began, and a few weeks later, he entered enlightenment, but had yet to emerge.

Thankfully, a few days ago, a deep golden flame appeared on his forehead, indicating that he had awakened his soul flame.

Two days later, Kent opened his eyes, a smile on his lips as a flame burned before him. It was subtle and quiet; however, the energy inside couldn’t be underestimated.

“Can it even be used for pill making?” Kent muttered, looking at the flame burning before him.

⟦The current version of the flame can’t be used for pill making since it is too chaotic. However, by devouring the Blue Void Flame and Purifying Flame, it will gain the qualities that will allow you to concoct pills with it.⟧

“I see. Then, in that case, why don’t we do that? Devour both flames.” Kent gave the order, and a few seconds later, a new message appeared, making him smile.

Kent smiled and then lit the flame. This time, though, he could still feel the stubbornness emanating from it; he also sensed the nourishing and purifying effects of the two flames he had consumed.

“I still need to devour more flames to raise the quality to at least Tier 7. That will allow me to concoct Tier 9 pills.” Kent stood up and stretched his body.

“It will be a while before I enter seclusion for this long.” He walked out of the Pill Room to get some fresh air outside. After walking out, he asked the tower how long it had been since he had last seen it.

“Two years and a month, huh. This means I am now 21 years old. I entered seclusion a month before my 19th birthday. I’d better take the ladies out to celebrate.” Kent vanished, aiming to go inside the Body Tower to see them.

However, when he arrived, only Vexthra was present. It was like she had been waiting for him, so when he appeared, she didn’t wait a second to jump into his arms.

Then, after a brief kiss, she smiled at him and teleported the two of them to the Harem Tower, where a grand birthday celebration was waiting for him…one that will last for days…
