Chapter 2389: Chapter 2389: Maybe there’s really a big monster
For half a month, An Jiuyue definitely hadn’t eaten anything, so he had to make something tasty for her. As he spoke, he casually tossed the sleeping little baby in his arms into Yuu Rong’s embrace.
"Hmm?"
The little baby, thrown so nonchalantly by his own dad, woke up groggily and saw his mom.
"Mom, you’re back, hug me."
He immediately reached out his small hands to his mom for a hug. These days, he had been held by his dad all the time. He missed his mom so much and didn’t want to be separated from her for a moment.
"Alright, let’s hug."
An Jiuyue took her little baby from Yuu Rong’s arms.
Qian Jiyun wanted to stop them, but seeing the mother and son so affectionate, he decided to remain silent and turned to start cooking.
"Mom, Nuonuo missed you. You’re finally back."
The little baby snuggled against his mom, lying on her chest, refusing to move.
"Dad said mom would be out soon, but it was all lies. Mom didn’t come out for so long; Nuonuo waited until the flowers wilted."
He had been counting the days on his fingers, and today he finally saw his mom return.
"Mom, you didn’t know, Uncle Bai Ze was injured. Uncle said there were big monsters here, biting anyone they catch, and told Nuonuo not to run around. But Nuonuo didn’t see anything."
Taking advantage of his mom’s embrace, the little baby let himself go completely, talking non-stop. Just a moment ago, he was still half-asleep, but now he was full of energy.
"Really? Nuonuo didn’t see anything? Maybe there really are big monsters?" An Jiuyue hugged her son and asked softly.
"I really didn’t see anything, really, mom. Nuonuo wouldn’t lie to you, even if he would lie to dad." The little baby patted his chest, assuring her.
He truly hadn’t seen anything, just saw his uncle injured, nearly dying. Frightened, he took out a handful of medicinal pills, intending to run over and stuff them into his uncle’s mouth.
But dad was quicker and got a medicinal pill in just in time. Thankfully, uncle could still swallow and didn’t choke.
"Pfft... cough, cough!"
Yuu Rong and the others almost spit out their drinks hearing the little baby’s words.
Luckily, his older brother had entered the space, otherwise, hearing his son’s words, would he be so angry he coughed up blood?
Is this really how a son should be, thinking about deceiving his dad? Despite how clingy he had been with his dad, once his mom came back, he instantly showed his true colors.
"Nuonuo, your dad will hear you." Yuu Rong quietly reminded.
"No, he won’t. Dad is making food for mom to eat, not around." The little baby retorted confidently.
Don’t think he’s too young to understand. Dad is indeed cooking, and it’s for mom, so he won’t come out until he’s done.
"Mom, dad said once we leave Demon Heart Island, he would take Nuonuo to find the brothers. But dad said he needs to ask mom, and only if mom agrees can we go."
He’s been thinking about the brothers for half a month and wonders when they can go find them. He thinks mom and dad still have many things to deal with, right?
"Alright, once mom arranges everything at Wulong Mountain, I’ll go with your dad to take you to see your brothers, okay?" An Jiuyue replied with a smile.
Zheng’er and the others should be brought to their side already. Over the years, being too busy, they have been neglected.
Now that the troubles are resolved, children should always grow up by their parents’ side, right?
