Chapter 1989 - 1983: Molin’s Good Fortune
Chapter 1989: Chapter 1983: Molin’s Good Fortune
"Mm." As soon as Chu Molin heard, he was even more unwilling, and with a stern "mm" in the second tone, he frightened An Hao so much that her heart trembled.
"Uh, is it that Molin’s very lucky to have married Qin Xue, such a beautiful and clever wife?" An Hao thought miserably upon hearing this. Was she wrong? After glancing at Chu Molin’s expression, she tentatively spoke, though her tone still carried a hint of doubt.
"Mm." Chu Molin replied with another "mm," but this time it was in the fourth tone, and his tone softened a lot.
An Hao breathed a sigh of relief upon hearing this. So, Molin was such a person, really scary, right? He turned out to be such a reserved person, so frightening. Thinking of this, An Hao shivered and trembled her shoulder.
"So embarrassing." Qin Xue looked at An Hao acting timid, only daring to shout at her. If you’re so capable, why don’t you yell at Chu Molin? Why be so timid? But listening to their conversation, why did she feel it’s so sweet, so happy? She might as well have stars in her eyes.
"Of course you’re not embarrassing, you’ve been spoiled to the heavens, haven’t you? Someone this happy doesn’t have the right to express opinions." An Hao didn’t care about others here; after all, they were all so familiar, and they were all brothers, so there’s nothing more to say. They’re already bubbling with happiness, so there’s no need to overthink, right?
"You can too." Qin Xue quickly chimed in, but as soon as she said it, you could hear a pin drop at the scene—awkward silence ensued.
"I’d rather not, let’s talk about something else." An Hao didn’t want to discuss her and Li Zhao or the Li family’s matters; it was too heartbreaking, and she didn’t want to bring it up again.
But deep down, she was a bit unwilling. They used to treat her so well, and now, because of something that’s not even certain, she has to give way. Anyone would feel unwilling, right?
Qin Xue thought An Hao truly didn’t need to bear it all alone. Li Zhao wasn’t unloving toward her; he even wanted to move out for her. Why couldn’t An Hao give him a chance?
Qin Xue felt that An Hao had something she didn’t want them to know, and that was why An Hao wasn’t willing to talk properly with Li Zhao.
But after An Hao tried to be herself again, she kept her mouth too tight, and they couldn’t get anything out of her, so knowing was extremely difficult.
Whatever the case, Qin Xue didn’t want to treat An Hao like she did Qin Su’e. The things she learned were to deal with bad people, not her own people. So no matter how much she wanted to know, she wouldn’t do anything because that’s not the result she desired.
Even if she really wanted to help An Hao, she would respect her wishes. So Qin Xue just watched An Hao in pain but couldn’t do anything. Maybe she should find some time to properly see how to talk with Li Zhao. For the sake of these friends, she really worried herself sick.
"Alright, everyone go back and rest, whatever it is, we’ll talk tomorrow." Chu Molin said, breaking the stifling air.
"Yes, it’s late. We’re leaving now, you all rest early." As soon as An Hao heard Chu Molin’s words, she knew what to do.
"Okay, take it slow." Qin Xue instructed as she watched An Hao and Xiao Qi walk out the door.
"Okay, you all go ahead." Xiao Qi waved them off, living so close they didn’t need to see them off.
"Where is Xue Ling?" Fang Xiu looked at the few kids still in the living room, yet the usual caretaker Xue Ling was nowhere to be seen. It was so late at night; where could she be? To speak of it, she hadn’t seen Xue Ling for a while.
