After Chu Yi left, Qin Xue tidied up the bowls and chopsticks, then went to buy meat to make jerky for Chu Molin. Buying more meat here had an advantage because they would throw in a couple of bones, which Qin Xue loved. Bone soup was delicious and could replenish calcium. Perfect.

"Go do your things, don’t worry about me, I don’t need your help here." After marinating the jerky, Qin Xue directly chased Chu Molin away.

"Alright, I got it." Chu Molin didn’t bother with how she would manage after washing his hands since he had done almost everything he needed to do. The remaining tasks were all light work, so he was relieved.

Qin Xue was so busy and didn’t mind Chu Molin. After finishing up there, she started cooking again. It seemed she spent the whole day cooking; if it continued like this every day, she reckoned she might gain a few pounds.

"Busy all day today, tired?" Chu Molin asked when he returned to the room after washing up and saw Qin Xue sitting there reading a book. He didn’t know what had gotten into her the past couple of days; whenever she had time, she would read and wouldn’t take a break.

"Not too bad, you have work tomorrow, rest early. I’ll read a bit more." Just as Chu Molin put his hand on Qin Xue’s shoulder, she told him to rest. She wasn’t the only busy one; he was equally busy, and he also had to get up early for work tomorrow. Luckily, she managed to get tickets to buy him a bicycle; if he relied on walking, he would have to get up even earlier.

"Let’s do it together." Seeing how tired she was but still forcing herself to read, Chu Molin had no choice but to take action himself.

Looking at his wife, Chu Molin covered her with a thin blanket and picked up his reports as he walked out of the room.

Once he pushed the bicycle out, he climbed over the wall, secured the door, and climbed back out. If someone were to see, he wondered if they’d call the police thinking there was a thief. His actions were too smooth, handling everything in a few moves. When he arrived at work, it was perfectly on time.

The first thing Chu Molin did when he got to work was to handle a leave form for Gong Wuyou. If he didn’t take care of it, Gong Wuyou would be marked absent, which wasn’t good for his future. It would also go into his records, following him for life; therefore, Chu Molin couldn’t let such a talented kid destroy his future here.
