Chapter 905 Shadow Clone vs Satori

ROAR!

As the Dragon dived inside Kuroto, it took the form of a Chakra Cloak that wrapped around him. With the Ryūmyaku Chakra wrapped around him, Kuroto started charging up a mini-tailed-beast bomb, then shot it towards the Chakra ball Satori had fired at the Hokage Rock.

Shaa!

The mini-tailed beast bomb covered the distance at an astonishing speed and collided with the Chakra ball shot by Satori. The two energies battled for dominance as they rushed skyward, resulting in a massive explosion that illuminated almost the entire Konoha Village for a brief moment.

BOOM!

Seeing that its attack had failed, Satori rushed toward Kuroto.

Kuroto remained unafraid. A pair of dragon wings made of Chakra emerged behind him, and he took to the sky to confront the incoming Satori.

BOOM!

In an instant, the two individuals collided in mid-air.

The prior explosion that had illuminated the entire village, coupled with the mid-air battle, left everyone stunned.

“What… what is that?”

“Hey… hey… look closely… isn’t that Hokage-sama!”

“What? Yeah… now that you mention it… he is Kuroto-sama… is that his Jutsu?”

“He seems to be wrapped in some sort of Chakra Cloak… but what is that?”

“Don’t you recall the Purple Dragon that appeared before? I think Hokage-sama summoned that dragon!”

“A… Amazing!”

All the Konoha shinobi on the ground were left stunned as they watched Kuroto, wrapped in a purple chakra cloak, engage in battle with Satori in the sky.

Not just ordinary Konoha shinobi, even individuals like Elder Hiruzen and Tsunade-hime were taken aback, pondering, “This power… and that dragon…”

Tsunade-hime muttered with a dignified expression, “The chakra of that dragon was no less than that of Seven-tails (Nanabi)… maybe it’s as high as Eight-Tails…!”

While she didn’t understand the origin of that dragon or how Kuroto had access to it, this didn’t hinder Tsunade from analyzing the situation. Based on her intuition, she could discern that the chakra of the dragon that had appeared moments ago was undeniably comparable to the Seven-tails and might even exceed it. It could be on par with, or potentially even as potent as, the Eight-tails!

“This?” muttered Ōnoki in shock, and asked, “What was that just now? And what kind of power is this? Is it something like a tailed beast?”

Ōnoki never anticipated that Hyuga Kuroto would possess such an ability. He could sense that the current Chakra Kuroto wielded was on par with that of a high-tier-tailed beast.

Beside Ōnoki, Deidara grinned widely as he remarked, “That explosion just now… it was perfection… who could have guessed that Hyuga Kuroto had a grasp of true artistry… I quite like him!”

Unlike Ōnoki and Deidara, Elder Chiyo, who stood behind Kazekage Pakura, exchanged a knowing glance with her brother. At that moment, both understood the answer to the questions swirling around, “Ryūmyaku… it must be someone from Konoha.”

As Elders of Sunagakure, they possessed ample knowledge of Ryūmyaku. Both Chiyo and her younger brother, Ebizō, recognized the similarity between the dragon that had appeared earlier and the chakra associated with the ancient City Rōran in the Land of Wind. The chakra cloak enveloping the Hokage was reminiscent of that energy.

After the ancient Kingdom of Rōran was destroyed, Sunagakure made repeated attempts to assert control over Ryūmyaku. For them, Ryūmyaku was considered within their sphere of influence as it was located in the Land of Wind. However, they faced two significant obstacles. Firstly, they couldn’t break the seal that Yondaime Hokage Namikaze Minato had employed to lock Ryūmyaku’s power. Secondly, the Queen of Rōran, who held a vital role in the matter, refused to align herself with Sunagakure.

Consequently, their options were limited. They mainly kept a watchful eye on the remnants of Rōran and tried to persuade them to join Sunagakure’s ranks. After all, without the cooperation of the Queen of Rōran, seizing control of Ryūmyaku would remain a near-impossible task for Sunagakure.

However, the sudden disappearance of the survivors of Rōran a few years ago caught Sunagakure off guard. When Yondaime Kazekage led a group of shinobi to the ruins of the ancient city of Rōran, they were startled to find that Ryūmyaku had also vanished!

Yondaime Kazekage suspected Konoha of being responsible for the theft of Ryūmyaku and dispatched a shinobi to Konoha to demand an explanation. However, Elder Hiruzen had no knowledge of Ryūmyaku’s disappearance at the time, and due to dealing with more pressing matters, he didn’t pay significant attention to the situation either.

Now, all the pieces of the puzzle were falling into place.

Unaware of the thoughts brewing among the onlookers below, Kuroto remained steadfast in his battle against Satori.

Satori’s ability to sense fear and bloodlust posed a challenge, but for Kuroto, this wasn’t as significant an issue. Firstly, Kuroto held no fear in facing Satori; the gulf between their powers was evident. Secondly, Kuroto’s Ryūmyaku Chakra Mode, enhanced by Sennin Chakra, granted him a swiftness that outmatched Satori’s reflexes and agility. This made it difficult for Satori to evade Kuroto’s attacks.

Consequently, Kuroto’s dominance in the battle was swift. Wishing not to prolong the encounter, Kuroto issued a sudden command to the dragon, “Toyotama… immobilize it!”

Instantly, a dragon formed of Chakra emerged from Kuroto’s abdomen and entwined itself around Satori.

ROAR!

Satori flapped its wings and thrashed its limbs in a desperate attempt to break free from the coils of the Chakra dragon. Its struggle was accompanied by a resounding roar that sent a shiver down the spines of all the Konoha residents.

Its final moments of resistance caused some unforeseen complications. Those in close proximity to Satori began to exhibit erratic behavior, succumbing to a berserk state. At the same time, Satori began forming another chakra ball, larger than any previously used by him.

“Not good!” echoed among the residents. The thought that anyone facing such an attack would surely meet their demise plagued their minds.

“Everyone, retreat!” shouted Elder Hiruzen urgently.

Yet, no one acted on the command. The situation seemed dire; if the impending attack struck the village, its impact radius would be immense. The distance they needed to cover to escape the danger in such a short span of time was insurmountable.

“It’s… It’s too late!”

“Are we destined to perish tonight!?”

Despairing murmurs emanated from the lips of Konoha’s residents. They gazed at the crimson chakra ball, growing ever larger in front of Satori’s gaping maw.

Just as the feeling of hopelessness settled in, Kuroto closed the distance between himself and Satori. With a forceful kick, he propelled the chakra ball into Satori’s open mouth, simultaneously commanding Ryūmyaku to seal it shut.

BOOM!

The chakra ball detonated within Satori’s mouth. However, the creature’s resilience proved insurmountable even from within. Much to everyone’s dismay, Satori not only survived the explosion but also responded with a roar of anger.

ROAR!

Observing Satori’s reaction, Kuroto clicked his tongue in annoyance, muttering, “Tch, it looks like I need to take him far away from people.”

With this resolve, Kuroto abruptly changed course, flying away from Konoha. Despite Satori’s persistent struggle, Kuroto held his ground, determined to distance the menace from the village.
