Chapter 1028 - 1028: ‘Morning Stroll’
Core Military City
WA-O3
Waregough Archipelago
Gledea Northern Coast
August 6th
531st Divine Year
Arthur and Evan strolled casually through the burning military city on WA-03, their overcoats billowing behind them as they walked with their hands in their pockets.
The million-square-kilometre fortress city had become a battlefield—flames lit the night like midday, soldiers screamed, and gods and demons clashed in the skies.
Yet, the two teenagers walked through it all, indifferent to the mayhem around them, as if they were taking a leisurely late-night stroll.
They moved leisurely, stepping over fallen bodies and dodging stray fire without breaking their stride.
Though magic blasts and bullets flew in their direction, nothing came close enough to disrupt them.
Any debris or threats that did reach them were dealt with effortlessly: some were sent spiralling into the atmosphere by gravity reversal, others obliterated by Arthur’s Null, while Evan’s flames incinerated what remained, and his ice froze and shattered those too stubborn for fire.
Every danger around them was neutralized, leaving them completely unbothered.
At one point during their stroll, Evan nonchalantly pulled out a milkshake from his inventory, took a sip, and then handed another to Arthur.
“Thanks.”
Arthur accepted it as casually as if they were at a diner. And like that, they continued walking, sipping their drinks amid the unfolding chaos.
Not long after, a group of Inferior Transcendents spotted Arthur and charged, intending to cut him down before he could wreak further havoc.
But Arthur barely spared them a glance, only snapping his fingers to conjure a Tier 6 Summoning Circle. It formed instantly, accelerated by his time manipulation, and from it emerged a Dread Leviathan, a powerful Superior Transcendent monster from another dimension.
With a dismissive wave, Arthur conjured more summoning circles, calling forth a hundred godslayers, along with, packs of hellhounds, and countless others.
Evan noticed the familiar figure of Stelan Adrovach amongst the godslayers, and after a quick scan of his “Prisma” Book, he confirmed Stelan as one of the future Zodiac godslayers just like he was.
As for the Transcendents Arthur sicced these summons on, they were instantly overwhelmed.
Amidst their struggle to hold their ground, Arthur spoke up, his words sending chills down their spines.
“Oh yeah, that’s right. I haven’t activated my Progenitor Authority, have I?”
Arthur spoke as if it were an afterthought, and Evan, mid-sip, raised an eyebrow.
“You haven’t?”
“Yeah. Alright then. |¬Authority of the Progenitor godslayer¬|
His voice switched into his Faux True Voice, and instantly, every divine within a 1.5-million-kilometre radius felt their power inexplicably drop.
A second later, they knew exactly why.
‘The Silver Summoner is here!’
That was the collective thought racing through their minds. But on a battlefield of tens of millions, how could they find Arthur—especially when he wasn’t even doing anything flashy?
As the two boys continued their stroll, barely acknowledging the panic rippling outward from Arthur’s Progenitor Authority, their conversation took a more casual turn.
“So, I had this new idea for a Bounded Field,” Evan began, ducking beneath a collapsing building.
Arthur kicked the rubble aside with a gravity-enhanced strike, sending it crashing into a cluster of Aramisian soldiers.
“Bounded Field?” Arthur asked, catching a stone hurled in their direction.
Infusing it with destruction energy, he tossed it lazily toward a squadron. The stone detonated like a nuclear bomb, vaporizing the soldiers, and leaving nothing behind but their smoking boots.
“Yeah. It’s like this apocalyptic scene where there’s a collapsing star floating in the sky, the earth is shattered beyond repair, and we’ve got a broken moon overhead,” Evan continued, describing the scene of the ‘Prismatic Apocalypse’ in his memories. “You know, something dramatic.”
Arthur momentarily froze, then cut him off.
“Are you talking about a Bounded Field or a Domain Declaration?”
Evan blinked in confusion when he heard Arthur’s question, and he responded with one of his own.
“What the hell is a Domain Declaration?”
In the memories of his ‘Rebellion’ that he saw while his Vision Seal was being undone, Evan recalled that Orothis, one of the Kyrexi god Kings, used something with that name.
He also recalled countering it with a combination of his Mesarthim’s BLUE, YELLOW, and GREEN. That was the extent of his knowledge about it—without going through his “Prisma” Book, of course.
“That’s basically the upgraded form of a Bounded Field. Bounded Fields are pretty much the mortal versions of Domain Declarations,” Arthur explained.
“But Domain Declarations can only be used by people who have domains, kingdoms, and territories.
Think of it like this: a king’s Domain Declaration is his kingdom. They transform the area around them into their kingdom, where they get all the buffs and home-field advantages as if they were actually in their throne room.”
Evan mulled over Arthur’s explanation with a furrowed brow, before asking.
“Isn’t that essentially a Bounded Field?”
Arthur nodded. “Like I said. Domain Declarations are just a greater form of Bounded Fields.”
Casting a glance at Evan after speaking, Arthur could immediately tell the Rogue Hero still had questions, so he continued explaining.
“Alright, let’s break it down. A Bounded Field uses spatial energy to delineate a boundary line that separates it from the outside world. That much you know, right?”
“Yeah, I know about that.”
Evan confirmed and Arthur continued.
“Good. Now, with a Domain Declaration, there’s no need to delineate a boundary line. Space itself becomes the boundary. A Bounded Field is a terrestrial technique—it works only on a surface, on land. But a Domain Declaration? You can pull that off anywhere. Even in space.”
Evan’s eyes widened the last part of Arthur’s words, his voice filled with surprise as he immediately questioned.
“Wait, you can pull a Domain Declaration in space?”
“Uh-huh.”
“Where’s the network of magic power going to stay, though?” Evan asked, curious.
Arthur slipped back into teaching mode as he responded.
“It’s an upgraded form of a Bounded Field, so the network of magic power rests on the space itself.
That’s why almost every Deity Realm existence has at least 10% comprehension of space laws.
To move in space, you’ve got to know ‘space’, and to create a Domain Declaration, you’ve got to know it a lot better than the average person.”
“I see…” Evan murmured, gears turning in his mind. But something still didn’t add up.
“I think I understand now. But I still don’t get why you called my idea a Domain Declaration.”
Arthur realised he hadn’t explained that part yet, so he did.
“Well, within a Domain Declaration, you’re essentially creating a miniature world. So, when you said you wanted a sun, moon, and a shattered earth?
That sounded less like a Bounded Field and more like a Domain.”
Understanding dawned on Evan’s face after hearing that. Tossing his empty glass into his inventory, he spoke.
“So, I was basically trying to make a miniature world.”
“Exactly! You wanted a SUN, Evan. That’s not a miniature world anymore—that’s a freaking solar system!”
They burst into laughter, but mid-chuckle, a rock bullet whistled toward Arthur. He backhanded it without a thought, sending it back at twice the speed, and the Aramisian soldier who fired it barely had time to react before it took their head clean off.
Evan, still laughing, spun and swept the legs out from under another charging soldier, driving an elbow into their chest. The moment they hit the ground, their body froze solid. Evan didn’t even glance back as he kept walking forward, expecting them to shatter with the next explosion.
As they strolled toward the main administrative building of the Divine Human Factory, their conversation shifted.
“Anyway, you and Jamie were talking about finding us a place to grind levels.”
Arthur nodded. “Yeah. Jamie’s been hopping around different places for a few days now. He said if he finds a suitable place, he’ll let us know.
Though, there’s a good chance we might end up going to Aidos instead. Apparently, there are a few dungeons there that give double EXP.
If you stack that with your accelerated levelling…”
The mention of double EXP jogged Evan’s memory, bringing up thoughts of the dungeons in the Magic City of Kasteblum.
“I think I know the dungeons he’s talking about. Well, that’s if the dungeons in my memory are 10,000 years old, then yeah, I do.”
Evan didn’t really know much about dungeon lifespans. He knew they were as traps to contain monsters and keep their populations in check, but he didn’t know how long those traps lasted.
‘I should be able to find that information in the archive.’
As Evan mulled it over, preparing to check the RHS Archive, Arthur spoke again.
“Well, here’s hoping Jamie finds them fast so we can get you powered up.”
He chuckled, swatting away a stray spell before continuing.
“After all, you are the weakest of the three of us.”
His words earned him a deadpan glare from Evan.
“Oh, rub it in, why don’t you? Because, yeah, I’m not a cheat Progenitor who was born as a Sub-Cosmic being, or an Immortal hybrid who can regenerate even from the destruction of a damn universe.
I’m just the ‘regular’ son of a ‘not-so-regular’ guy.”
Arthur laughed, raising his hands in mock defence.
“Leaving aside the irony of you calling yourself ‘regular’ when you literally have a title that says ‘Irregular,’ I’m not the one who said that.
Apparently, some readers aren’t exactly fans of how much weaker you are compared to us.”
Evan froze an incoming attack mid-air with his unique skill, brow raised in confusion.
“Readers? What are you even talking about?”
“Yeah, apparently some people want you to get power-ups and all that,” Arthur responded as he casually blasted a tank apart with a condensed gravity orb.
Evan rolled his eyes, then punched an airship out of the sky using Artemisia’s Unique Skill, sending it crashing in flames, before responding.
“I’ve gotten a lot of power-ups, actually. Want me to list how many Unique Skills I’ve picked up so far?
You’ll only see the full process of me acquiring these things in my story.”
Which had been the case so far—not that Evan said that part aloud.
Arthur launched another gravity orb, obliterating an entire squadron of Aramisians as he responded.
“Yeah, we’ll see what powerups you’re really getting in your story. But it doesn’t change the fact that power-wise, you’re at the bottom.”
Evan clicked his tongue in annoyance, but Arthur just laughed and said, “Cheer up.”
“Truth be told, I’m not as bothered as one would think.
Don’t forget that four years ago, I was barely level 20. Now I’m above level 750. It’s ridiculous even for me.”
He reminded Arthur that he had climbed from the Bronze Level to the Legendary Level in an absurdly short time, and Arthur conceded with a nod.
“Touché.”
Summoning his sword, Evan activated Stoneheart’s Embrace and petrified an attacking divine human. He shattered them with a slash right after as he carried on.
“Anyway, about this place Jamie’s hunting down for us to power level, I’ve got a sinking feeling it might actually be a cultivation world.”
The thought came to Evan because of something ‘Sun Celestial’ Conroe had mentioned back when he arrived in Kreah—about “seeing Evan with Jamie on the day they had a disagreement with the ‘Cultivator Lords’ of ‘Denerth Prime’.”
Of course, Arthur didn’t know this, so he simply raised an eyebrow, intrigued.
“A cultivation world?”
“Yeah, you know about Xianxia stuff, right?”
As Evan asked, a stray spell flew toward Arthur’s face—only to freeze a meter away, then whip back toward its sender.
“Basically, martial arts, sword intents, stuff like that, right?” Arthur asked back, sidestepping a magic barrage.
Evan nodded in affirmation. “Exactly. So… should we learn sword intents?”
