Reincarnated Hero System

Chapter 1063 - 1063: 1 Second

“Gazebind!!!”

***KAABOOOOMM!!!!!

Evan barely managed to summon the eight-sided shield a split-second before two beams of dark light crashed down from the sky with an apocalyptic roar, striking the shield with such overwhelming force that space-time itself wailed in agony.

It was as if the sky had cracked open to deliver heavenly judgment.

The impact unleashed a massive explosion, law energies colliding in a violent surge before spiralling into chaos.

“GOUGK!”

The blast knocked the wind from him, his vision flickering to black from the sheer power of the collision as his body was hurled backwards, slamming into the cavern floor with a bone-jarring thud.

“…ono..ace Dom…n! …HOLE!”

Through the haze in his mind, Evan’s ears caught Beatrix’s screaming voice, and his senses detected intense spatial distortions.

His consciousness nearly slipped, but his Tenacity Skill didn’t let that happen. It forcefully kept him conscious, enough to hear the alarms from Danger Sense warning of the incoming follow-up attacks.

As the ground beneath him fractured, molten streams of magma spilling out and sizzling as they crept closer, Evan roared,

“MESARTHIM!!!”

Mesarthim: ALL. Technique Number 6. NEBULARCH FLAME.

The technique Evan neither remembered nor realized he had triggered instinctively in a desperate moment caused his prismatic flames to erupt with the radiance of a newborn star.

‘Blessing of Destruction: First Activation! Elemental Weapon Projection! Vindiction’s Strike!’

A crimson-gold aura enveloped him, amplifying his power many times over. At the same time, thousands of Frostfire weapons materialized around him, launching toward the source of the beams above, while a crimson-gold portal opened overhead, unleashing a torrent of pure destruction law energy.

But the danger was far from over.

From the darkened sky, countless beams of light began to rain down, miniature versions of the devastating blast that had taken down Arthur.

Though smaller, their overwhelming numbers made them just as deadly. The cavern reverberated with the sound of crashing energy as the beams struck like meteors.

Disregarding the strain on his body, Evan unleashed his full arsenal of skills without hesitation.

‘Hollow Magic: Hollow Bullet + Burst Cannon!! Elemental Gale! Stout Guardian! Blue Judgement! Elemental Surge! Time Bomb! Elemental Weapon Projection! Devastation!’

Unattributed ambient magic power rapidly condensed into devastating bullets that tore through the space around him. Each bullet struck the beams of light, disintegrating them on contact.

Elemental energy swirled into a fierce vortex around him, whipping the lava into a gale that scattered the incoming blasts.

A giant armoured knight construct rose from the ground to shield him but lasted barely a second before the barrage riddled it with holes.

Blue esoteric lightning crackled from Evan’s body, intercepting beams mid-air. Random bursts of all the elemental energies he could control erupted around him, pushing back the deadly rain of dark light.

Time bombs were launched in rapid succession, while prismatic blades of light carved through the sky like heat-seeking missiles.

Space fractured around him as lightning and destructive flames surged from Evan’s body, the air filled with the violent clash of elemental and law energies.

Just as the chaos within the cavern reached its peak, a True Voice thundered across the region, ripping through the air with such force that everyone’s heads throbbed in sharp pain, a crushing presence bearing down on their minds.

¬ENOUGH!!!¬

A shockwave of crimson-silver energy burst from the epicentre, an Anti-Divinity pulse that surged outward in every direction.

The pulse swept through the cavern, erasing every trace of every attack from both sides, dissolving them into harmless, fading energy in an instant.

Arthur emerged from the magma, fury carved onto his face

His body was ravaged—skin burned raw in places, his arms charred black, and silver blood dripped steadily from his nose and ears.

But he was still standing—or rather, hovering.

Arthur’s eyes glowed as his Pseudo-Origin cores sent torrents of law energy coursing through his body. Cosmic energy gathered around him like a violent storm, swirling and condensing into something colossal.

But he didn’t even get the chance to shape it into a proper attack.

In that same instant, another devastating beam of dark light tore down from above, streaking toward him like a blade of judgment.

This time, however, he wasn’t caught off guard.

The beam slammed into his amassed cosmic energy, triggering an explosion so powerful it obliterated the upper half of the mountain in a deafening blast, sending magma and shattered stone into the sky.

Amid the chaos, he heard screams, but they didn’t come from his allies.

That brief moment of cover granted by the explosion gave Arthur the chance to condense Anti-Divinity above his head, forming a giant gravity barrier.

The barrier distorted the fabric of space around it, twisting the trajectory of the follow-up beam and redirecting it downward.

It struck the remnants of the platform they’d been fighting on, annihilating it and exposing the churning magma below.

The searing heat intensified as the lava reacted violently to the repeated, catastrophic assaults from above.

‘Limit Break!’

Evan activated his second burst-mode skill, raising his shield just in time to block the next wave of attacks crashing down from above. White wings erupted from his back, flaring wide as he shot out of the trajectory of the incoming attacks, but farther away from his allies.

None of them were granted even a second of respite. Each one was constantly bombarded by attacks from the unidentified assailants above.

Arthur, straining against the beam hammering down on his gravity barrier, cast a glance upward. His eyes narrowed, focusing on the source—near the top of the cavern, close to the shattered mouth of the volcano.

There wasn’t just one attacker.

Eight—no, ten—maybe even twelve. He couldn’t get an exact count in the heat of the moment.

And Arthur wasn’t entirely wrong. There were, in fact, twelve existences above. But only eight were targeting him directly with their combined might.

Eight Transcendent Dragons—ranging from Inferior to Intermediate Stage—were pouring their collective power onto him in an effort to overwhelm him.

Two of the remaining Non-Transcendent Dragons attacked Evan, while the last two focused their attacks on the four girls.

Beatrix, despite everything, was coughing up blood as she struggled to redirect the onslaught of beams through her wormholes. Her spatial powers were strained to their absolute limit, even with the buffs and magical support from Artemisia.

Even with Limit Break stacked on top of his Blessing of Destruction, Evan was barely managing to block the attacks bearing down on him.

Assessing the grim situation in a second, Arthur gritted his teeth and poured more energy into the gravity barrier, expanding its reach to shield the girls as well.

“Beatrix! Teleport!” he shouted.

He relieved her of the burden so she could focus on getting them out, knowing there was no point in fighting back right now.

The environment was their greatest enemy—one wrong move and they’d plunge into the churning sea of magma below, saturated with volatile fire law energy.

Thanks to his Law Comprehensions, Arthur was superior to Beatrix in spatial manipulation. But don’t forget that he was maintaining a gravity barrier against the relentless barrage of EIGHT Transcendents.

If he could manage teleportation while doing that, he might as well ascend to Deity-level on the spot.

Potential retaliation options to buy time crossed his mind, but he dismissed them just as quickly. None was safe enough to not get the others caught up in the backlash if, and when they failed.

Possible retaliation options to buy time crossed his mind, but he discarded them just as quickly. None were safe enough to guarantee the others wouldn’t be caught in the fallout if, and when they failed.

Instead, Arthur concentrated on warping the space around him. His gravity barrier twisted the trajectory of the incoming beams, redirecting them into the surrounding volcanic walls.

Each impact triggered violent shockwaves through the already fractured cavern, pushing the volcano’s crumbling structure closer to total collapse.

Jagged cracks spiderwebbed through the rock, and molten debris rained down, turning the battlefield into an even more dangerous hellscape.

The gravity barrier shielded only the immediate area around Arthur and the girls, its surface area deliberately kept small to maximize strength.

But Evan, who had been blasted away earlier, was outside its protection.

Fortunately, the pressure on Evan wasn’t that overwhelming. He was still holding his ground, using his shield and defensive skills to endure the attacks.

Beatrix, golden blood trickling from her lips, forced out every last drop of divinity and magic she could draw from her divine spark.

Artemisia placed a hand on her back and transferred her energy, allowing Beatrix to activate her Unique Skill once more and envelop the group in a fragile weave of spatial power.

Meanwhile, Evan swung his shield, parrying another beam of light aimed at his head. But before he could block the next, a whip of blood suddenly wrapped around his waist.

In the blink of an eye, Crim yanked him toward the others, reducing the distance Beatrix needed to cover with her spatial power.

Every meter mattered, and Crim’s quick thinking brought Evan within range of Beatrix’s power, easing her burden, even if only slightly.

But the teleportation wasn’t instantaneous, and for a rather simple reason.

When teleporting individuals, the stronger the person, the more energy the spell consumes.

If the target was even stronger than the one casting the spell, the energy cost spiked dramatically, and so did the time it took to complete.

And Beatrix was trying to teleport Arthur, a Semi-Transcendent.

To make things worse, Arthur was actively warping space using both his Pseudo-Authority of Gravity and his Anti-Divinity.

Beatrix had to carefully stabilise the space they’d pass through, ensuring it didn’t get distorted or ripped apart by his influence.

The only reason she could even attempt this was because Arthur was holding back the suppressive effects of his Progenitor Authority from affecting her, all while using its power boost to endure the barrage.

But the true MVP here was her Unique Series Skill.

Without it, manipulating space under such overwhelming conditions would’ve been impossible.

Evan and Crim poured their magic into Beatrix, offering whatever reserves they had left. She gritted her teeth as the strain on her divine spark intensified, but she pushed through the pain.

Gradually, light began to surround their bodies, the tell-tale glow of teleportation magic gathering around them.

Their bodies began to be warped through space.

They didn’t need to go far—just a few hundred meters would be enough. All they needed was to get far enough to escape the bombardment, enough to get clear of the immediate danger zone.

Once they were out, Arthur could open a Cosmic Gate and take them even farther.

However, just as Beatrix’s teleportation was about to fully whisk them away, something unexpected occurred.

Reincarnated Hero System Stored Authority Consumed

“”?!””

Arthur’s hair stood on end.

Activating ‘Survival Enhancement Mode’

Evan’s Danger Sense blasted warnings into his ears.

Reincarnated Hero System Advices Host to FLEE as fast as physically possible.

“Fuck!”

Both of them had the same realization in an instant.

Even amidst the blinding lights and endless attacks raining down, Arthur’s eyes snapped upward.

He saw them.

He sensed their presence before his eyes even landed on them.

Among the twelve powerful existences bombarding them with relentless attacks, two more figures appeared—a thirteenth and a fourteenth.

One stood on the head of the other.

An Archdevil with flower-patterned eyes, perched atop the head of a Black Dragon.

The auras they radiated were enough for all six of them to understand—VICTORY WAS IMPOSSIBLE.

Superior Stage Transcendents, they were.

The Archdevil’s gaze locked onto Arthur’s, and then he spoke.

Arthur naturally didn’t hear the words, but he knew what had been commanded.

—Fire—

And the Black Dragon obeyed.

From its maw, it unleashed flames born from the depths of hell.

Arthur’s gravity shield shattered instantly like glass, and his Anti-Divinity burst outward. The blazing inferno crashed down upon him.

Beatrix’s teleportation finished, and space imploded.

..

All of this unfolded within the same second, mere milliseconds apart.

Their bodies, already midway through space, were violently blasted in opposite directions by the chaotic distortion.

And as time ticked forward by a single second, the entire mountain range they had been in was obliterated.
