Chapter 1135 - 1135: EXP Caches and Reworked Plans [Monthly Bonus 3]
|The crowd only gathered in response to your actions.
When you send a threatening mass of spatial power tearing across multiple territories, destroying Stellar Defence Mechanisms in the process, it’s only natural for people to assume you have hostile intentions.|
Hearing that, Jamie rubbed his chin and searched his memory.
|Ah… Right, I accidentally destroyed someone’s Dyson Sphere, didn’t I? Not my fault, though. Blame the guy who created a spatial tunnel through it in the first place. That guy was a meticulous bastard.|
Jamie waved his hand dismissively and went on.
|He kidnapped some important Gozonian associates—including the children of friends of mine—and to avoid being tracked, he left a maze of false trails across the galaxy. I had no choice but to solve that maze to find him.
That’s why I went around breaking stuff.|
Chang began to speak, but before he could get a word out, Jamie continued, his voice dropping a full pitch.
|If I really had hostile intentions, there wouldn’t be a crowd here.|
It was a subtle way of declaring that he could handle all the Interstellar powers behind the Deities present by himself, a claim none of them dared to challenge after recalling his Domain Declaration.
Meanwhile, Arthur and Evan, nearby, casually discussed, with Arthur teasing Evan about his mask becoming his identifier.
Arthur then turned to Chang and began summarising Cruotis Prime’s destruction in simple terms, starting from their kidnapping on Aramis, while Evan added details about Bewússtsein and his power comparable to a Low-Tier Deity, noting how the Planetary Consciousness had killed billions who’d lived on the planet’s surface and nearly them, capping levels with an Existence Realm Limitation.
Jamie confirmed their account, offering his memories, or Aramis’ Planetary Records as proof. He also revealed he had nearly killed Aramis’ Consciousness while rescuing the children, explaining his actions with his usual nonchalance.
Arthur and Evan’s seemingly casual revelations were deliberate, meant to publicly disclose the events on Cruotis Prime—a plan Arthur formulated in the seconds it took Jamie to convert the destroyed planet’s energy into EXP caches.
Some of the observing Deities scanned the two teenagers as they spoke, noticing how unusual it was for Evan’s voice to echo across space despite not being a Deity with a True Voice, and in the process, they detected two Pseudo-Origin Cores within him, both radiating an immense amount of power for something labelled ‘Pseudo’.
His level also didn’t make sense, as he had clearly surpassed the Cosmic Limit of power for the Sovereign Level, yet his body was holding all that power without any strain.
What they didn’t know was that Arthur and Evan’s bodies had deconstructed and reconstructed when they were infused with power by the Scales of Balance, a measure meant to enhance them so they could withstand the boost.
Even though the power-up itself was gone, Evan’s body had retained enough residual strength to handle most Inferior Transcendents without relying on magic or skills. His durability was another matter entirely.
Regardless, their plan to reveal the information they wanted people to know was complete, so it was time to leave.
Arthur turned to Jamie and mentioned something about a Seal, which Jamie confirmed he could unseal but would first need to explain the cost. Arthur insisted on handling it immediately, so Jamie turned to Rilene and told her to gather any more details from Artemisia’s daughter and informed McEnda II that he needed to focus on Arthur’s issue.
He then opened a Cosmic Gate, and he and the two boys entered it, ignoring any calls to stop or wait.
◇ ◇ ◇
The opened Cosmic Gate led to a different Prime World called Nienope, located in a remote part of the galaxy, right in the middle of a vast, million-square-kilometre forest teeming with hordes of devilish monsters.
The same monsters scattered like rats the moment Jamie stepped into the area, creating a scene that made Evan laugh.
Meanwhile, Arthur silently and unconsciously used the power of his newly acquired Aspect of Time to place his body in a kind of ‘Stasis’ to prevent his energy from building up further, a necessary measure since his body was overflowing with more energy than he actually needed.
Like Evan’s failed Transcendence, Arthur had also failed to Exuviate, and he already knew why and was working to resolve it as soon as possible.
Until that was resolved, he couldn’t allow his energy to continue building, hence the need for Stasis.
Jamie proceeded to warn Arthur about using his newly acquired Aspects, specifically advising him not to use both at the same time to avoid revealing his ‘Dual Candidacy’.
Evan, hearing this, learned more about the Candidate Selection process, but he didn’t put much stock in the information since it wouldn’t matter to him once he returned to the future and met the one who came out victorious.
Once Jamie finished his warnings, he turned his attention to the next important matter—the two glowing spheres he had formed by gathering and compressing the lost energy of Cruotis Prime.
As he gestured toward them, Arthur pulled a chair from his subspace, sat down, and asked, “Exactly what are these things?”
“Physical EXP Caches. Condensed energy, Existential Records, and Soul Power. I condensed the components that make up EXP, and using my Privilege of Creation, I ‘Created’ the EXP caches for you guys.
Each sphere holds about a third of Cruotis Prime’s total energy.”
Arthur’s amazement was clear as he processed Jamie’s explanation, while Evan, more focused on the weight, grabbed one of the spheres to examine it.
“Just how much EXP are we talking about here?”
Jamie paused for a moment, considering how to answer, then decided to frame it in a way Evan would understand.
“You’ve been to Earth V, right?”
“Lived there for 16 years,” Evan replied as he walked around the sphere, and Jamie chuckled before continuing.
“Then you know the names of the planets in the Outer Sol Star System, right?”
Evan nodded, counting them on his fingers as he named them.
“The Outer Planets are the big guys. Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune.”
“Bingo. Cruotis Prime was somewhere between Uranus and Neptune in size—only about a 1,500 km difference, last I checked,” Jamie explained.
Evan fell silent, blinking as Jamie’s words sank in.
“You say what?”
Jamie laughed at his reaction before elaborating.
“Exactly what I said. Let’s just go with Uranus’ size. A planet that massive, scaled up to ‘Prime’ level.
What you’re holding in your hand is a third of its energy.”
Suddenly, the sphere in Evan’s grip grew noticeably heavier.
Seeing the shift in Evan’s expression, Jamie figured he’d just done the calculations in his head. He then glanced at Arthur, who was casually spinning the second sphere on his finger, completely unfazed.
Classic Arthur.
“Anyway, back to my explanation. It’s Cached EXP that you guys can absorb later to boost your levels.
I plan to tweak them so they can be used multiple times. As they are now, once you start absorbing, you can’t stop—unless you want the remaining energy to go to waste.”
As Jamie continued, Evan, who had been silent, spoke up.
“So this is the equivalent of 20 Earth Vs worth of EXP? I’m guessing that’s because of the billions of souls Bewússtsein absorbed, right?” he asked.
“20 Earth Vs? Triple that number. And don’t forget, this came from a Prime World. But yeah, you’re right about the second part.”
Evan fell silent again after Jamie’s correction. Moments later, he asked, “Can I have other people use this?”
The gears in his head were already turning as he started reworking plans for future Aidos, anticipating a positive answer.
“Yes, you can let others use it.”
Evan’s expression brightened at the confirmation, and he was about to respond when Jamie cut him off.
“BUT! No one below Transcendence can handle it.”
“Huh? Why not?”
“Because they’d explode, that’s why. Did you not just hear how much energy is in this thing? Even Transcendents would struggle with the output. Anyone weaker would straight-up die.”
Evan visibly deflated at that response, clear proof he had been planning to mass-produce Transcendents.
Still, he wasn’t too discouraged. If he couldn’t create new ones, he could at least make the existing ones stronger.
‘Empowering five Transcendents with this would be a walk in the park.’
For some reason, ‘The Five’ on future Aidos suddenly felt a shiver run down their spines, though that had absolutely NOTHING to do with Evan.
As he lifted the sphere, Evan suddenly remembered something he hadn’t thought to ask before.
“Why is this thing so light? Shouldn’t it be heavier since it’s so dense?”
“Spatial Compression and Gravity Manipulation. A lot more of the latter,” Jamie replied.
His control over space and gravity was the only reason these two spheres, with enough self-gravity to round themselves, weren’t dragging everything nearby into their orbit.
After answering Evan, Jamie snapped his fingers, pulling the spheres away.
“Let’s set aside the extra EXP and talk about the EXP you guys already have.”
“”The EXP we already have?””
Both of them echoed his words in unison, and Jamie nodded before continuing.
“The amount of EXP you gained from killing Bewússtsein is, to put it mildly, enormous.
In case you didn’t know, I didn’t get any since the rule is that you can’t gain EXP from something that’s half your level or lower.
No matter the circumstances, Bewússtsein was still below half my level, so all the EXP was split between you two.”
Enough EXP from a Low-Tier Deity was divided between the two mortal boys.
“That’s enough EXP to last for generations.
In Arthur’s case, once I handle his True Name Seal and he exuviates, only Chaos knows what level he’ll reach. And that’s not even counting the Caches I created.
EXP should NOT be a problem for either of you for a long time.”
Jamie paused, then turned to Evan after a brief silence.
“Which brings me to my first question—why are you NOT a Transcendent, Evan?”
As mentioned before, the current Evan could overpower Inferior Transcendents with just sheer physical strength. Add in his dozens of skills, and he’d give Intermediate Stages a run for their money.
His raw energy had already passed the minimum threshold for the Transcendent Level, but his level was stuck at 900 and wouldn’t rise.
To Jamie and Arthur, who didn’t know the reason, it was bizarre.
“…well, I haven’t met all my Transcendence conditions,” Evan said with a sigh, earning incredulous looks from both Jamie and Arthur, the latter responding almost immediately.
“Dude, even if you had help, YOU KILLED A PLANET.
If you, of all people, haven’t met the conditions to Transcend, then no one in the entire Cosmos should have.”
Evan chuckled at Arthur’s comment since he had a similar thought not long ago, but his laughter faded when he realised Arthur was entirely serious.
“Relax, guys, you’re misunderstanding the situation,” Evan said before clarifying.
“I have met all the conditions. The reason it hasn’t happened yet is because my Soul doesn’t like my body’s current state.”
“…the heck?”
Arthur’s two-word reply elicited another sigh from Evan. Behind his mask, he pressed his lips together, weighing his words before finally deciding to explain.
“You guys aren’t dumb, so I’m sure you’ve figured out that I have a previous incarnation—the reason I have a Deity Soul.
But the thing is, I didn’t die in that previous incarnation, so my soul still retains all its power. It’s just sealed away because I was tired of war.”
Evan placed a hand on his chest and continued.
“Obviously, this isn’t the body I had in that incarnation, so there are a lot of differences.
My previous body and soul had a shared trait—something that allowed them to fully synchronise. But my current body lacks that trait, which prevents my soul from manifesting its full power.
And that’s a problem, because the moment I Transcend, I’d end up like Arthur—on the brink of Exuviation.
As Jamie said, we’ve got enough EXP to last generations.”
Taking a breath, Evan finished his explanation.
“Basically, my soul needs my body to regain that trait so I can achieve 100% synchronisation before Exuviation.”
After hearing him, Jamie and Arthur exchanged looks before asking together.
“”What is that ‘trait’?””
Evan sighed again and answered in two words.
“Cosmic Superiority.”
“!!”
That—that was something neither of them had expected.
Cosmic Superiority affected both body and soul, whether one was Sub-Cosmic or a fully realised Cosmic Being.
Evan’s soul had retained its Cosmic Superior traits, but his current body lacked them.
“If your Cosmic Superiority didn’t carry over to your body, then that means you were Sub-Cosmic.”
Jamie muttered under his breath, inadvertently revealing that if a Cosmic Being changed bodies, their soul would naturally adjust the new body to match.
But that hadn’t happened with Evan.
“The problem is that Cosmic Superiority isn’t something you can just obtain because you want to.”
Arthur wasn’t one to talk, having been born with it, but his point still held. If it were that simple, the universe would be full of Cosmic Beings.
Evan, however, was unbothered.
“Don’t worry, Arthur. I had it in my previous incarnation, so all I have to do is get it back. And I do have a plan to make that happen, by taking advantage of the power future Artemisia gave me.
But it’s something I can only do once I return to the future.”
After briefly explaining his plan, Evan turned to Jamie and asked, “Can you do me a favour, Jamie? It’s related to that EXP cache.”
“What?”
“Those tweaks you mentioned—you said you were going to make some adjustments to it. Can you do them now so it can be used multiple times and by multiple people?”
Jamie shrugged at the request.
“It’s not a problem. But why the rush?”
“I have certain plans for the future that make me very grateful for this EXP cache you created. And like I said earlier, my plan to Transcend is for the future, so I’ll be returning in my current state.
However, I doubt I can take that cache with me. For one, it won’t enter my inventory, and more importantly, I have a strong feeling it would distort the spatial tunnel—and that’s a whole different problem.
Because of that, I want to store it somewhere safe for the next 10,000 years, so when I return to the future, I can retrieve it at will.”
Evan’s reasoning was solid, and Jamie had already been thinking along the same lines. From the look in Evan’s eyes, though, Jamie could tell he already had a solution in mind.
“Sounds like you already know where you’re going to keep it.”
Evan simply nodded.
“Once you’re done with the modifications, please send me to Aidos.”
It was time to make the ‘deal’ that future ‘Aidos’ had mentioned.
