Reincarnated Hero System

Chapter 832 - 832: goddess vs Celestial [Random Bonus]

And how exactly do you know that I’m not supposed to be here?

Artemisia’s question stemmed from the fact that only those on the Interstellar Stage should be aware that she wasn’t meant to be in Orithyia.

How was Faulin who was trapped on the planet aware of this?

Meanwhile, the entirety of Kreah was abuzz with shock. Just like Faulin’s power could be sensed across Tarse, so was Artemisia’s.

It had already attracted the attention of the Legendries and Sovereigns in other Regions in Tarse. Just that they were scared shitless by the power and didn’t dare get close.

They could all sense the powerful divinity that Artemisia emanated passively, and the Holy Knights and Paladins who were close enough to see her with their eyes…couldn’t believe their eyes!

Their goddess in the flesh!? They never expected such an occurrence!

Holy Knights dropped to their knees with tears in their eyes, while some seriously considered taking pictures. How else would people believe when they said they had seen their goddess physically?

As for those who were too far away to physically see what was going on, the True Voices of the two deities were loud enough for them to infer the situation.

Many couldn’t believe it as well, but some recognized the divinity as the same kind that filled the temples of the ‘Church of Artemisia’ and instantly believed it was the real deal.

Whether she knew this or not, Artemisa didn’t care and instead focused on Faulin.

The Restrictions that prevent gods from major intervention in mortal affairs, only apply to lower existences.

Artemisia’s eyes lit up with a dull glow as she reached out in Faulin’s direction and continued with a deeper voice.

And right now, you are anything but a Lower Existence.

Her divinity intertwined with the ambient laws of gravity, creating a pulling force that dragged Faulin’s body toward her. She seized him in a chokehold, her grip tightening on his neck.

“Evan…deal with the rest until I return.”

Artemisia spoke to Evan normally, before looking up and flying skyward. It took a good five seconds after she moved before the sonic boom reached Evan’s ears.

But by then, Artemisia had already left the planet’s atmosphere and was now in the void of space.

Heck, she had already reached the next planet’s gravity field and was dragging Faulin into its atmosphere.

With relativistic speed, she dashed down, violently throwing his body toward the ground. The celestial crashed with meteoric force, creating a new Grand Canyon in this uninhabited world.

Artemisia slowly floated down to the ground, her clothes shimmering and transforming.

As her feet touched the floor, her flat shoes turned into combat boots, her pantsuit trousers changed to brown khakis, her top and jacket were replaced by a plain black shirt tucked into her trousers, and lastly, her long black hair automatically styled itself into an efficient ponytail.

Holding up her arms, golden lightning and divinity crackled around her right arm, while golden flames swirled around her left.

I’ve been a little bit stressed because of the old gods lately, and I’ve been looking for a new punching bag to vent.

Clenching her fists and wrapping them in her golden divinity, she continued.

Don’t disappoint me, Faulin.

A sonic boom followed, and Artemisia’s fist was already connecting with Faulin’s lower jaw, sending him reeling into the air.

She followed him up, throwing another punch with her right fist but Faulin quickly dodged to the right. However, she took a swing with her left and smacked the man out of the sky.

He spun around repeatedly and slammed on the ground, and just as his eyes opened, he met the sight of Artemisia’s boot stomping down on his face and driving his head deep into the earth.

The force of her stomp sent seismic waves permeating through the landmass, cracks rippling outward until, in seconds, the entire continent was split into broken pieces.

|Ah…I broke it.

Guess we have to go to the next one. It seems this planet is far too small a stage for us. |

She casually remarked on the fragility of a High-Level World, about to pick Faulin up when the man hit her with a blast of celestial energy that knocked her into the sky.

The goddess flipped and regained her balance, floating in the air as she cleaned the dust off her nose while asking.

You finally remembered how to fight back?

You…!!

Faulin wanted to curse, but the words eluded him. The situation had shifted so rapidly that he wasn’t able to properly keep up.

What he could grasp, however, was that he was on a path to certain defeat if he didn’t act swiftly.

Deity Level: 101

A burst of energy erupted from his body, and as Faulin stepped into the next Existence Level, Artemisia raised an eyebrow with mild curiosity.

That’s not gonna help you much, you know?

Faulin knew that, but he also knew that the longer this dragged on, the more his Deity powers returned. His body was rapidly drawing in ambient energy to replace the lost power so it would soon return to a stage where he could easily escape from Artemisia.

As for regaining enough power to beat her? Faulin didn’t even consider that.

Leaving aside the ridiculous amount of energy needed, Artemisia wasn’t called the ‘Strongest New god’ for no reason. Even at his prime, he wasn’t sure of victory!

‘So, I have to stall long enough to reach Deity Level 400!’

With that thought he held out his hands and summoned his ‘Authority’.

Heaven’s Fall!!

A celestial storm gathered around Faulin, crackling with potent law energies. The skies darkened, and a massive, glowing sigil formed above his head, radiating an otherworldly light.

From this sigil, a colossal pillar of celestial energy descended, aimed directly at Artemisia.

The sheer magnitude of the attack was immeasurable. The energy surge alone was enough to destabilize the planet, creating fissures that split the landmass into quarters.

Mountains crumbled, oceans evaporated, and the atmosphere ignited. The collateral damage was catastrophic, which could only make one wonder about all of the attack’s concentrated power which was focused on Artemisia.

As the celestial pillar descended, it blazed with a radiance that rivalled the sun, its immense force capable of obliterating the planet entirely if it hit the ground.

?!

Suddenly, a light burst out from its blinding core, streaking towards Faulin with terrifying speed. Before he could react, something slammed into him with full force, sending his body hurtling across the sky, tearing through the planet’s atmosphere, and entering the void of space.

Lightning flashed, and in an instant, a second force struck him.

His vision blurred, and he found himself crashing back down to the planet, breaking past the crust, and plunging into a sea of molten magma. The impact was devastating, the searing heat of the magma engulfing him as the sheer force of the collision sent shockwaves rippling through the entire planet.

A hand suddenly seized Faulin’s neck, lifting him effortlessly out of the magma. Artemisia’s grip was unyielding as she raised him with her right hand, while her eyes were on her left arm, examining it briefly before speaking.

It’s been ages since my arm stung like that.

Her casual tone belied the incredible power she had just withstood, revealing that all Faulin’s attack did was merely cause her left arm to sting.

She turned her gaze back to the bloodied and battered Faulin, her face bearing no expression like usual as she asked.

So, mind telling me why you were so confident I wouldn’t show up?

Artemisia wasn’t going to let Faulin’s comment of “You’re not supposed to be here” go so easily. However, what also wasn’t easy was getting the man to talk.

‘Or rather…could it be that he can’t?’

Spells and techniques to ensure someone’s silence weren’t all that rare, so that was a possibility she needed to consider as well.

‘If he can’t speak then there’s no need to waste time, then.’

Conroe was still on Aidos, so she knew that she had to be quick with Faulin.

With a flick of her wrist, Artemisia flung Faulin upward, launching him from the molten depths into the vastness of space.

She followed with a burst of speed, her form a golden comet trailing flames and lightning. Faulin barely had time to react before she reached him, her fist connecting with his midsection and sending him hurtling into a nearby moon.

The celestial collided with a force that split the moon in two, but he recovered quickly, rousing his celestial energy and attacking.

Heavenly Strike!

A radiant beam of pure energy descended upon Artemisia, its brilliance enough to blind any mortal.

However, the goddess didn’t flinch.

Raising her left arm, she manipulated her divinity to absorb and diffuse the attack, her golden flames consuming the celestial energy before giving him a look that asked “Is this all?”.

Heaven’s Fury!

Faulin roared in frustration, unleashing a barrage of divine lightning bolts that crashed down on Artemisia like a relentless storm.

The goddess weaved through the lightning effortlessly, before raising her right hand and punching away any that aimed for her face with impacts that rippled through space.

Celestial Tempest!

The man summoned winds of celestial energy that swirled around him, transforming into a titanic vortex in mere seconds. He aimed it at Artemisia and she responded with a casual flick of her fingers, her divine flame swirling around to form a counter vortex.

The two forces clashed, but Artemisia’s flames quickly consumed the celestial winds, dissipating them into nothing.

Artemisia’s ‘Elemental Mastery’ allowed her to use every element she knew proficiently, but she didn’t feel the need to use anything other than flames and lightning against Faulin.

It wasn’t necessary.

‘I don’t even need to use my weapon. And here I was hoping I could use this guy for a demonstration.’

Such thoughts crossed the goddess’ mind as meteors from a nearby asteroid belt were pulled into the moon’s gravitational field and hurled at her. Clenching her fists, she kicked off the ground and punched through each rock with her fists, reducing them to dust.

Faulin’s body flashed in behind her at massively hypersonic speed, activating his “Heaven’s Judgement” and conjuring an enormous glowing hammer of celestial energy.

Faulin swung his “Heaven’s Judgement” hammer down with all his might but Artemisia teleported away faster than it could reach her, letting the hammer crash into the moon and shatter it into fragments.

‘Hmm? I better be careful so Aidos doesn’t get hit by any asteroids.’

Such a thought crossed her mind and she quickly acted on it, turning into a streak of lightning that zapped through space, reaching Faulin and punching him with enough force to send him hurtling thousands of kilometres in a second.

She followed up with a second, then a third, and a fourth, the power behind her strikes increasing with each consecutive one.
