Reincarnated Hero System

Chapter 839 - 839: Crashlanding

How did it feel to be sent through time?

It wasn’t any less harrowing than being sent through space.

The journey also felt significantly longer, each moment stretched into an eternity.

Evan lost track of how many times he blacked out, only to wake up in a disorienting vortex of swirling colours. Everything seemed to happen everywhere, all at once, creating a kaleidoscopic nightmare that made him dizzy.

The overwhelming influx of sensory information forced him to close his eyes, trying to limit the chaos assaulting his senses.

He felt like fainting.

He was like moving against the currents of time, struggling to go upstream in a river that flowed relentlessly downstream.

The temporal currents overlapped, creating a maelstrom of fragmented images. The few moments he dared to open his eyes; he captured the sight of chaotic scenes with zero patterns whatsoever.

One moment, it was like a movie playing at 0.5 times speed, and the next moment, it was playing backwards at 20 times speed.

The scenes flashed by too quickly for him to grasp, and he could only catch fleeting glimpses of distorted realities.

The sensation of being torn apart by the chaotic laws of time grew stronger with each passing second. It felt as though his very essence might disintegrate under the pressure.

However, the energy of time that had wrapped around him before his journey to the past provided a shield, protecting him from being completely unravelled by the temporal chaos.

Suddenly, two notifications appeared in his field of view. One was familiar, but the other was utterly alien.

[The ‘Eternal of Time and Destruction’ gazes in your direction.]

[The ‘Eternal of ჸ̸Ɉ̸i̸l̷ɒ̵ɘ̷Я̵ ̶b̸n̶ɒ̷ ̶ɘ̵ɔ̵ɒ̸q̵Ƨ̸ gazes in your direction.]

Evan hadn’t fully processed this when he felt EOTD’s power envelop him. In the next instant, his vision darkened, and his body was pulled from the chaotic time flux, halting the rapid, disorienting scenes.

|Hmm…let’s bring you forward by a few months. |

EOTD’s voice echoed in his head, and his body suddenly lurched through time once more. This time, the disorienting sensation lasted only a few seconds.

|That’s enough. Good luck, Evan.|

Just as EOTD spoke, a notification appeared in his field of view.

[The ‘Eternal of ჸ̸Ɉ̸i̸l̷ɒ̵ɘ̷Я̵ ̶b̸n̶ɒ̷ ̶ɘ̵ɔ̵ɒ̸q̵Ƨ̸ questions the presence of an ‘Unfamiliar Eternal’.]

In response to it, came another one regarding EOTD.

[The connection to the ‘Eternal of Time and Destruction’ has been severed.]

[ERROR#? System Database has no Record of an ‘Eternal of Time and Destruction’]

Evan couldn’t feel EOTD’s presence behind his Blessing of Destruction skill again. It was as if the man…suddenly ceased existing.

With no time to ponder these occurrences, the energy of the law of space returned, wrapping around him and pulling him through a portal.

He emerged on the other side with a burst of energy, tumbling onto a sandy surface and rolling forward several meters.

Evan pressed his hand into the ground, halting his movement, and looked around warily.

‘Where the heck am I?!’

Answering that; He appeared to be in a long-abandoned children’s playground, with swings and sandboxes scattered around. The eerie stillness hinted at years of neglect.

Activating Time Difference, his perception of time slowed, and his thoughts accelerated.

0.5 seconds.

In half a second, he identified the first issue of this unfamiliar place: Gravity.

Among the three planets he had visited, Earth V had the weakest gravity. Aidos’s gravity made Earth V’s feel like a feather’s touch, which wasn’t surprising considering you could fit close to 40 Earth Vs inside Aidos.

A Larger size meant stronger gravity.

In this unfamiliar world, the gravity, though stronger than Earth V’s, was slightly weaker than Aidos’s, making it a slight challenge for Evan to ground himself as he was now lighter.

Thankfully, Adaptive Evolution automatically attuned his body, allowing him to focus on the next issue: Safety.

1 second.

‘If the people of whatever time this is aren’t stupid, they’d definitely sense the surge of spatial power from the portal I just got yeeted out from and come to check it out.’

As such, Evan’s first thought was to get the fuck out of here as fast as possible, and this decision made him remember Artemisia’s words.

‘Transform your face, wear a mask, or conceal your status…do whichever you can.’

He chose to follow the goddess’ advice and did all three of them at once.

1.5 seconds.

He donned the mask he bought in Zlunard with Eliza, used Kayla’s Body Transformation to change his face, hair and eyes, and activated Concealment to cloak his status.

Evan’s next plan was to use Farsight to lock onto something far away and use Blink to teleport.

However, at that instant, Danger Sense blared an alarm, and a surge of demonic energy blanketed the area, carrying traces of a presence more powerful than Kolvar or Rathal.

Wherever he had landed, powerful demons were nearby, and the strength of the demonic aura made him recognise the futility of running.

Transcendents could move at Hypersonic speed; fast enough to cover all the areas within Evan’s field of vision in a second, meaning that even if he used Blink, they could still find him the instant he reappeared.

2 Seconds.

He decided to wait out the storm instead, quickly activating Lethe to conceal himself from their senses.

The moment he activated Lethe and concealed his existence from sight, a chill ran down his spine.

“There’s nothing here?”

‘??!!’

3 Seconds.

At that moment, Evan thanked his stars that what he used was not Blink but Lethe, and hadn’t opted to run but remain there.

Because even if he stacked BoD, Limit Break, Overdrive, and used Blink as fast as possible, there was no way in heaven, earth and the seven dimensions that he would have been able to do all that faster than the Speed of Light itself.

Evan slowly turned his head to the right, and then he saw it; a pair of feet, standing less than a meter to his right.

They appeared at a speed faster than his Blink skill.

Evan hadn’t sensed a thing until he heard the man’s vaguely familiar voice. Slowly, carefully, Evan raised his gaze to look at the owner of those feet.

Standing six feet tall, the man exuded an air of authoritative elegance that commanded immediate attention.

His slightly pale skin contrasted with a shock of striking black hair, which framed his chiselled features with precision.

The man was draped in a meticulously tailored black military uniform adorned with a collection of medals.

The Uniform was familiar. Evan had seen it in Arlan Maddox’s memories. The uniform, though an older design with some variations, retained its recognizable form.

A long black overcoat hung from his shoulders, complemented by matching gloves that further accentuated his authoritative presence.

Four stars gleamed on the coat’s shoulders, signalling his high military rank even to the most uninformed observer.

His crimson-red eyes narrowed into slits, and scanned the playground, searching for the source of the spatial disturbance he had sensed.

As Evan took in his face, sweat dripped down his brow. He realized that even teleportation would have been futile; he couldn’t have escaped this man.

Evan knew exactly who this man was. He had seen his face in ‘Aidos Online’.

Famed across Worlds as the ‘Demon King of Light.

The Strongest of his Generation.

Owner of the Book of Lumière.

Ginaroad Sargon’s Father.

Supreme Demon King, Alvey Sargon!
