Chapter 1789: Great Challenge
Chapter 1789: Great Challenge
—–
Aquarina pulled out all her tricks, as her aura shifted once more, unleashing the power of her Ocean Dragon’s Aura with her Spiritual Aura Embodiment and Undine and Leviathan.
Combined with her Mastered Abyssal Embodiment form, an aura resembles a nine-headed black dragon manifested, each head with long, snake-like necks but a different draconic head.
“{Abyssal Nine-Headed Dragon Queen Aura Embodiment}!”
“GRYAAAAAHH!”
Her draconic heads roared ferociously, opening their jaws and unleashing nine different dragon breaths at once, striking the young ant queen instantly.
“Nine attacks at once?!”
She panicked, her Beast Aura surging to clash against Aquarina, but…
BOOOM! BOOOM! BOOOM! BOOOM!
It was instantly destroyed again. The young ant queen saw the dragon’s jaws rushing down, as she desperately unleashed her techniques, aura, and magic at once.
RUMBLE!
The ground trembled around her, as several magic circles manifested. Her infernal red flames started bombarding Aquarina’s Aura, unleashing thousands of explosive fireballs that could drain mana and lifeforce if they hit her directly.
Aquarina’s Aura protected her, blocking the blows while she turned into shadows, appearing behind the young ant queen and swinging her two daggers at her, unleashing a barrage of attacks.
“Ugh?!”
Each blow was immensely fast, rapidly beginning to grind through her hard armor, pushing the ant queen further back while Aquarina didn’t lose momentum, kicking her head down and then up again, before she turned her two daggers into a giant trident of darkness and frost.
“{Abyssal Frost Trident}!”
The trident was fired at the ant queen, piercing her chest as she screamed in agony, her blood splattering everywhere while she coughed even more blood, struggling to move amidst her pain.
“GRYYAAAEEEGGH!”
As she screamed, her Aura started flickering and transforming, turning into dozens of snakes and surrounding Aquarina, opening their jaws and aiming to bite her to drain her energies.
“It won’t happen again!”
She manifested the power of Sylphy’s divine blessing, blessing the trident in the ant queen’s chest with thunder and electrocuting her while Aquarina called forth her new spirit.
“Leon! Spirit Fusion!”
“Raarrrr!”
While she was in her Mastered Abyssal Embodiment form, Leon appeared, merging with her body while Undine and Leviathan rested from the previous beating.
FLUOSH!
The Spirit Kitten of Sunrays and Thunderbolts, Leon, was but a young spirit that Sylphy had somehow gifted to her after she became a Saintess. The power the little creature carried was still unknown to her, but Aquarina had a small idea of what it could do.
The ground trembled. Leon merged with Aquarina, transforming her bizarre appearance. She gained a pair of black, red, and golden cat ears, long whiskers, red and golden fur around her legs, arms, neck, and chest, and a long golden, red, and black tail.
Her skin remained a waxy black color, and her eyes maintained their crimson, creepy forms, although they became more feline-like. Aquarina’s hands and feet transformed into cat-like paws.
Above all, this form looked both fierce and powerful, constantly releasing thunder and flames from her body, elements Aquarina had not touched much before, until now.
“Okay, let’s test this!”
FLASH!
As Aquarina moved forward, she disappeared, turning into red, gold, and black lightning and appearing in front of her foe. As the young ant queen had already burned her trident, Aquarina grabbed her daggers before they were destroyed and then attacked her at point-blank range with them.
“RAAAAHHH!”
With a brave roar, Aquarina’s arms moved rapidly, unleashing thunder, ice, and darkness across her foe’s body!
SLASH! SLASH! SLASH! SLASH!
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
Not only did slashing attacks cut through her armor over and over again, but deadly explosions engulfed her with constant explosive damage, further spreading the wounds Aquarina had inflicted.
“YOUUUU!”
The ant queen opened her sharp mandibles, catching Aquarina’s arm and biting into her flesh deeply, draining her mana but not her lifeforce.
“UGH?! GUCK…?! GUACK…!”
And in that moment, as she tried to devour Aquarina’s flesh, she realized she had swallowed the darkness Aquarina had become, miasmic black mud filling her throat, poisoning her and cursing her in the process as she began vomiting it.
“What?! Did you think I was tasty?! I’m pure darkness right now!”
Aquarina went for a rapid combo of attacks, kicking her chin upward, then delivering a downward punch, followed by several kicks to the left and right, constantly overwhelming her without letting her retaliate. This was followed by her daggers, as she infused them with lightning, firing them at the ant queen’s eyes.
“I’ll take your eyes with me!”
BOOOM! BOOOM!
“KRIIIEEEEEGGGHHH!”
The ant queen let out an agonizing shriek, stepping back in agony as she grabbed her face in horror and pain, screaming so loudly that the surroundings started being set ablaze by her uncontrollable aura.
“MY EYES! MY EYESSSSS! SISTER…! HEAL MY EYESSSSS!”
As she screamed, golden flames started covering her eyes, trying to heal them, but they were taking too long. The flames had to purify all the poison and miasma that Aquarina left inside her wounds. This was a trick that every strong cultivator knew about.
By infusing their Mana and Aura into their Elemental Attacks, it was possible to leave behind magical runes that disrupted other elements, meaning that if they didn’t have a healing spell of the same element as the runes, regenerating from wounds could take a while.
This was worsened because Aquarina’s Abyssal Embodiment possessed a Curse Element, which she learned to imbue into her poisoned daggers. Of course, the poison itself was also produced by her abyssal body. Her own blood and spit turned into a paralyzing poison that also hastened bleeding.
“What’s wrong?! Does it hurt, you fucking bitch?!”
Aquarina leaped toward her, rushing her with several kicks, punches, and stabbing attacks all over her body! Aquarina gritted her teeth, her powerful draconic aura shapeshifting into several headed dragons, roaring in unison as nine dragon breaths bombarded her foe.
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
“UUUGGGHHH!”
The ant queen cried, her magic quickly unleashing thousands of fireballs against Aquarina, trying to push her back as much as she could.
