Chapter 1850: We Did It!

“Hahaha! I’m so happy, you guys! Truly, from the bottom of my heart—thank you!” Aquarina’s laughter rang like bells in a quiet temple, full of joy and relief. Her eyes shimmered with tears not with sorrow, but with overwhelming gratitude. “Well done! I couldn’t have done this alone.” She leaned in, kissing Justicio and Silvia on their foreheads with reverence, then wrapped them in a warm, lingering embrace. “You’re not just my friends—you’re my brother and sister. I’ll love you both forever, no matter what paths we walk.”

“A-Aquarina…” Silvia’s cheeks flushed a soft pink, her smile blooming like a flower in spring. “I love you too, Aquarina!” She threw her arms around her and began peppering her face with kisses, each one a burst of affection. “Mooch, mooch!”

Justicio blinked, caught off guard by the sudden display. “Whoa, that came out of nowhere, but… yeah, I mean… I do love you. As a friend and… a sister,” he said, his voice faltering with embarrassment. Yet beneath the awkwardness, a gentle smile tugged at his lips, sincere and tender.

“Hahaha, okay, okay, get off me!” Aquarina laughed, gently pushing Silvia away before she could continue her enthusiastic barrage. “Enough! Shouldn’t Justicio be the one getting all those kisses?”

“Ah…!” Silvia turned even redder, and Justicio looked equally flustered.

“I mean… uh, I wouldn’t mind it…” Justicio muttered, glancing at Silvia.

“Really? Eheh…” Silvia giggled nervously and took his hand. “Um, okay… I’ll give you one as a reward… yeah!”

“Really?!” Justicio was stunned as Silvia shyly closed her eyes and leaned in, lips puckered.

Aquarina and Pyuku gave him a silent thumbs-up, nodding in approval. It was finally his moment.

“Go for it, tiger!”

With Aquarina cheering him on in her thoughts, Justicio leaned in and kissed Silvia on the lips. Her eyes flew open—she had meant to kiss his cheek, but he had completely misread the signal. Still, she didn’t pull away. Instead, she kissed him back, and the moment grew more passionate. Their tongues met, and Justicio’s hands slid down to grasp her butt, prompting a soft moan from Silvia.

“Whoa… kids these days, huh?”

“EEH?!”

Their intimate moment was abruptly interrupted by the gruff voice of an old man. The couple turned to see the towering Ancient Hero of Stone, Heracles, standing before them.

“Heheh! Don’t worry, I’m happy for you two brats. Planning to get married now? I hope you have lots of healthy kids!” the Stone Hero laughed, clearly pleased, and patted their heads.

“S-Still! Please knock or something!” Silvia cried, mortified.

“There’s no door here, but yeah—what she said!” Justicio added nervously.

“Hahahahaha!” Heracles roared with laughter, completely unfazed. “Relax, my descendants. Love and passion are natural parts of who we are. You only saw glimpses, but you remember all the kids I had with my wife, right? She was a beauty. I could never resist her, especially with such a gorgeous woman sleeping beside me every night…”

“Aaaah! Shut up, shut up! You’re an old pervert!” Silvia shrieked, hiding behind Justicio.

“You’re really not what we imagined…” Justicio muttered, facepalming.

“Heh, that’s life, kiddo,” Heracles chuckled. “Anyway, you’ve completed the trial. Well done! You’re now the… fourth, fifth, sixth! The sixth to ever do it!”

“Really?” Aquarina asked.

“Yeah. Before you, there were only three others,” he replied. “You probably know them—Svana, your chief, and Nepheline, your mother, Aquarina.”

“Ohh, and who was the other?” Aquarina asked.

“A Demon,” Heracles said with a sly grin.

“EEEH?!”

The trio was stunned. Aquarina had Demon friends, sure, but none had ever appeared in these lands. Where could one have come from?

“But Svana would’ve known…” Justicio said. “Why didn’t she ever tell us?”

“Who was this Demon, Ancestor?” Silvia asked.

“I promised to keep it secret, so I can’t say more,” Heracles replied. “However… you’ll probably meet them one day. Those who share a Legacy are naturally drawn together.”

“Huh…” Aquarina rubbed her chin. “Alright then. Mysterious, aren’t you?”

“Heh. Now that you’ve completed the Trial, I have one last gift for you. This time, it’s something physical,” he said. “I give these to everyone who defeats me. Take them.”

With a snap of his fingers, weapons materialized in their hands.

Justicio received a massive axe forged from the hardest alloy, adorned with spirit crystals and ancient runes. Silvia was given a silver-colored hammer embedded with glowing crystals. Aquarina received a beautifully crafted dagger made from the fang of an Earth Dragon.

“Whoa, what is this?!” Justicio exclaimed. “Amazing! This is just as good as my old axe—wait, no, it’s better!”

“A new hammer! Yipeeee!” Silvia cheered, bouncing with joy.

“A dagger?” Aquarina murmured. “And… wait, is this a dragon’s fang?!”

“Yep. Earth Dragon’s Fang,” the Ancestor confirmed. “I had a few spares, so I made you a dagger. Do you like it?”

“Yeah! It’s amazing! I never imagined… thank you, old man!” Aquarina beamed.

“Heheh! You’re welcome. Alright then, no more time to waste. Get out of here!” the Ancestor said, opening the door to the outside world. “Your parents are waiting. Go tell them the good news!”

The trio nodded and ran toward the exit, but Silvia paused and looked back.

“Um, sir… aren’t you lonely?” she asked.

The Ancestor turned to her with a gentle smile. In her, he saw echoes of his daughters—each one of them. He closed his eyes, seeing behind her the legacy of all his children. She, too, was part of it.

“No, dear. I never feel lonely,” he said, and Silvia’s eyes widened.

She saw his aura expand, revealing the silhouettes of dozens behind him. They all bore a resemblance, his children, grandchildren, and beyond.

Even his wife, a beautiful Desert Elf, stood beside him, lovingly holding his arm.

“Our family is special,” he said, as Silvia gasped. “Where do you think I get the power to share with everyone who enters the Inheritance, time and time again? It was never just me. It’s a joint effort.”
