It was a near-endless stream of notifications, one after another, to the point I had to leave them to the side! It was hilarious, but at the same time, it made me realize just how incredible Aquarina was—she had made so many friends!

I was a bit jealous. I wanted to go there, to be with her, to make new friends as well… but even so, I smiled, fully knowing that my Aquarina had this. She could do it. I was always by her side, cheering for her.

And by doing so, I grew too. I started to slowly realize who I truly was, and how my powers were meant to help others. Just what I’ve been doing this entire time.

Some may laugh at me. Some might say I should be more selfish, that I wouldn’t gain anything from being kindhearted, that there’s no reward in being nice. But I knew there was always something deeper than mere gains—it was about giving people hope.

It was about giving myself hope through their dreams. The more I made them happier, the more I realized this world wasn’t as bleak.

I had to improve the world that Bark and Curse fought for. The world they died for. To build a world where an entity as resentful as Curse would never be born again. To create a world where people as kind as Bark wouldn’t be betrayed and killed in cold blood.

It was corny, yes… maybe even stupid.

But this was the path I chose.

A path completely different from the one I walked in my first life, when I had fallen into despair, never given an opportunity other than to train to kill.

But now that I was being given the chance to change the world—why wouldn’t I take it?

The Heroes and Saints the gods chose would not walk the paths they wanted. They would walk a path we would build together—as my own Heroes.

And even those who were never chosen, despite how incredible and hardworking they were… like Zack. They would be given the chance to become the Heroes they always dreamed of being.

I was going to create a new kind of Hero. One who doesn’t obey the direct orders of any god. Heroes who walk the paths they believe are right.

True Heroes who help without discrimination or prejudice. True Heroes who aren’t forced to kill against their will.

And my Saintess—she would lead this crusade. A new revolution.

But we had to start small. One step at a time.

I continued training, working with everyone. I didn’t push myself as hard anymore, but I still worked very hard.

As I kept completing tasks from Felicia, helping my friends do the same, and occasionally visiting the big city or a small dungeon while we grew closer to the Adventurer Guild, time passed. And Aquarina continued fighting.

Eventually, I learned of the menace of the Ancient Great Spirits through her eyes, which I could occasionally see through. One of them had fallen from grace and merged with the Queen of a Giant Blazing Ant Colony. Her memories were missing, her identity shattered. The instincts of the monster and the spirit melded into one.

And through thousands of years, this monster had done nothing but grow her empire—using her own children to strengthen and boost her Divinity’s growth to completely insane levels. The invasion of the Giant Blazing Ants had only been the beginning. She had planned to take over the entire world using her Divine Powers upon her True Ascension.

Aquarina, her new friends, and her parents rushed to stop her. A clash between her endless army and her strongest children ensued.

I was there at every moment, watching over Aquarina, helping her as she battled for her life against immensely powerful opponents—perhaps the strongest so far. But thanks to her parents and her friends, things weren’t too hard.

Their help drove her forward, helping her surpass her limits. And with all the support I could give, she continued overcoming trials and challenges.

Until the final battle against the Spirit—now ascended into a Divine Spirit God. Her power was immense. I even felt it from all the way here.

But Aquarina, her parents, and her friends didn’t give up. They clashed against this foe, defying impossible odds. They inspired me even further. With each battle I witnessed, my own Divinity improved a little more.

And ultimately, through their combined efforts, the new Spirit Goddess who threatened to destroy all of humanity was vanquished…

Or so I thought.

She remained alive, even after everything. Even Aquarina’s parents lay unconscious.

In that moment, I knew—if I didn’t do anything, they would all die.

The power I had raised, everything I’d been doing this entire time, was for this moment. If I hadn’t pushed myself to my limits this year, if I hadn’t learned so much…

I wouldn’t have been able to help them. And what could have happened to Aquarina by then?

Just thinking about it filled me with despair. But it also justified all of my hard work.

Without hesitation, knowing there was no point in delaying it any further…

Aquarina called upon me.

And I descended to protect my Saintess—clashing against this monstrous goddess who claimed to want revenge against the gods.

A being twisted by centuries of isolation, betrayal, and divine abandonment. Her soul had fractured, her memories scattered, her identity lost.

What remained was a creature of vengeance, one who had once been a Great Spirit, now warped into a Divine Spirit Goddess with only one desire: retribution.

She screamed at the heavens, demanding justice.

But what she sought was not justice…

It was annihilation.

And I could not allow that.
