Chapter 1930: Girls Night
Chapter 1930: Girls Night

“And about the trials themselves, they were all personal,” my mother said.
“My trial was about saving a small world on the brink of destruction!” Lara exclaimed. “I had to help the world heal by nurturing the spirits and helping them multiply for a looooong time. But it was fun!”
“Mine was about proving my heart by facing my ’inner demons’ and the history of my tribe…” Mist murmured. “I learned so much…”
“I faced a fragment of the past I would rather not discuss here…” Nephilim sighed quietly.
“And I… well, I had to fight a lot,” Zephy added with a weary breath. “My trial was endless battles against impossible foes across a vast hellish landscape of flames filled with demonic beings.”
“Wow, everyone’s trials were so different from one another!” I said in amazement.
“Yeah, they sound really fun compared to the trial I went through myself…” Aquarina admitted.
“And what trial was that? I’m quite curious!” Lara asked eagerly.
“Me too—why won’t you share more about it?” my mother wondered gently.
“I cannot reveal everything in detail…” Aquarina replied. “Just as you cannot. But I suppose I could elaborate a little within what’s allowed…”
We spent the rest of the evening sharing stories of our personal trials, adventures, and more until lunch finally ended and the sun slowly sank below the horizon.
With Master Felicia’s guidance, we showed everyone their new rooms inside the giant wooden manor golem. Its internal space was far larger than it appeared from the outside.
My parents received their own spacious room, technically my father’s original chamber, but now expanded with a larger bed that my mother had brought, along with much of her furniture and clothing.
Zephy got a personal room next to mine and Celica’s. Mist and Lara settled into rooms nearby as well; all arranged in a long row along one corridor.
They quickly began personalizing their spaces, unpacking everything they had collected back in that city: new clothes, furniture, accessories, weapons, armor, and more.
Aquarina and I helped them tidy up while the others pitched in. During the process, I made sure to properly introduce the shy Ruby to everyone.
My mother had already greeted her earlier when I wasn’t around, something I missed, but aside from a quiet hello, Ruby hadn’t spoken much with my friends.
“So you’re Ruby! Sorry for not talking to you earlier—we were so busy,” Lara said with a bright giggle. “Are you a Blacksmith? I’ve heard you’re amazing at making things!”
“I-I’m still a novice, still learning,” Ruby replied, blushing as Lara’s warm, extroverted energy swept over her. It was nearly impossible not to become her friend. “But yes, kind of… You’re Lara, right? The Saintess of Spirits… I’ve heard about you. It’s an honor to meet you.”
“Aw, the honor is mine, Hero of the Blazing Hammer! Hehe!” Lara giggled and hugged her suddenly. “Oh wow, you’ve got so many Spirits I’ve never seen before! Amazing! And the Fire Spirits and Earth Spirits love you so much!”
“Huh? Who?” Ruby asked, confused. “I only have a few…”
“Yes, but there are the World Spirits too! I guess you don’t know much about them, but they make up most of this world’s elemental energies!” Lara explained enthusiastically. “Aaaand they really, really love you! It’s amazing!”
“Ah, I had no idea. Thank you?” Ruby replied, still puzzled but smiling faintly. “Hahah…”
“Hi, I’m Mist! Nice to meet you, Ruby,” Mist said warmly. “I was honestly surprised when I heard the Hero of the Blazing Hammer that Sylphy went to find was a half-demon—wow! I’ve never heard of the Oni Tribe before, I’m so curious! And you’re also half-dwarf? That’s amazing…” Mist kept praising and admiring her without pause.
“T-Thank you, Mist. It’s nice to meet you too. But aren’t you a hero like me?” Ruby asked. “This is really nice… I thought I was the only demon who became a Hero…”
“E-Eh? Me?! Haha, no way! I’m like Celeste and Celica—we’re like sisters. We all come from the same orphanage!” Mist replied with a cute smile. “I’ve just trained a lot and was even allowed into the inheritance trial… Of course, I can’t compare to a true Saintess, but Sylphy has helped me grow stronger with her gift.”
“Oh, the System, right?” Ruby nodded. “She gave me a System Seed back then too… It’s incredible how much faster it helps you grow.”
“Yep!” Mist agreed. “And it’s even more important for those of us who aren’t heroes like you… We wouldn’t be able to catch up at all without it.”
“Well, I would say your growth is already impressive and that you were talented to begin with, Mist,” I said. “The System simply helps people unlock their potential much faster, right Alice?”
“Indeed,” Alice nodded. “Although the System grants power, it does not give it without effort, conviction, and the will to seize it. It is a strength that rewards only the most hardworking.”
“Haha, well, you heard it!” Mist giggled.
“Hey Ruby, wanna know how we met Sylphy back then with my friend Luck?” Lara asked eagerly.
“Eh? Sure…” Ruby nodded.
So we sat down in Mist’s room for a girls-only gathering. We chatted about countless things and got to know one another even better. Ruby looked genuinely happy to have so many friends now. Slowly she relaxed and opened up, becoming a little more talkative.
“Um, Celica? Are you there?”
Midway through our conversation, someone knocked at the door.
It was my brother, and he was looking for Celica of all people?
And just when we had been teasing her about Zephy’s obvious crush on her, which by now was clear to everyone.
“Ooohh, look who’s looking for you~!” Celeste teased her, nudging her with an elbow. “Eh? Eh? Who could it be, I wonder? Your elven prince?”
“W-What are you implying?” Celica became flustered, blushing so deeply that her blue skin took on a faint purple hue. “D-Don’t tease me…” She turned quite serious whenever the topic came up.
She walked slowly to the door and opened it.
“Um, hi Zephy… W-What’s up?” Celica tried to sound casual but ended up speaking awkwardly instead.
“I’m sorry—am I interrupting something important?” he asked. “You girls were all gathered together, so I didn’t want to bother you…”
“Nah, it’s fine,” I said.
“Yeah, you can take her with you, Zephy,” Aquarina added with a grin.
“A-Aquarina…!” Celica flushed again. “Um… do you need something? I… well…”
“I wanted to talk with you… in private?” Zephy said softly. “It has been years since I last saw you… When I arrived we greeted each other, but… I wished we could have talked more…”
“Oh… S-Sure!” Celica nodded quickly. “Of course, Zephy… Um, let’s go.”
Celica stepped out, clutching her small Mister Teddy tightly in her hands. She looked nervous and deeply flustered.
Huh!
I wonder what’s going on with that? Let’s see…
