“Crack!”, what came next was a loud shattering sound, which amusingly enough didn’t come from the remaining lower body of the now deceased Ridge, battle avatar, no, it came from the dwarf princess’s left arm.

Well, Ridge’s battle avatar did produce a loud cracking sound as it crumbled apart now that the one maintaining it was as dead as he could be, but the sound coming from Femi’s arm, overwhelmed it.

“Mm?”, as the dwarf princess whose pretty face actually showed a sign of pain and tiredness, for the first time during the whole fight, was about to hold onto her wounded arm, she felt a bit confused as she saw a dim silver light covering her body all of a sudden.

Then under Femi’s curious gaze, all the fatigue on her body was driven away, what’s more, the wounds in her right arm which went from scratches all over her skin to cracks in her bones… instantly disappeared.

“Healing property… no, my own energy was boosted to meet those damn impossibly hard requirements so the backslash is gone”, mumbled the dwarf princess as she saw the silver light around her disappearing.

Those wounds which actually managed to force a negative reaction from Femi, were amusingly enough not caused by Ridge, her body couldn’t handle her own strength and thus she received some damage for using the “Heavenly Hammer Smite” technique with which she directly killed the violence nethereal alongside his battle avatar in a single go.

‘It was faint, but I felt Tessa’s power spike through the roof before the tree’s stopped targeting me, so I know for sure that she not only passed her challenge, but she went beyond and above, so I couldn’t put in any less effort in my own challenge’.

“I was prepared to endure the backlash while receiving my reward, since using the “equipment” from Gaia’s Forge is supposed to come only after having completed both copper skin and iron bones in its totality’.

‘What’s more, this little “gift” of his didn’t intervene in the fight in the slightest, it only helped during the aftermath as if to maximize the rewards, or perhaps this is a separate reward from our team’s captain, this is a bit awkward, how am I supposed to repay Daimon for this…’ the dwarf princess was lost in her thoughts for moment there.

There was another reason as to why Daimon’s name came to Femi’s mind, and that is because her current situation shares some similarities, with something a “little bird” told her about him, well, it would be more accurate to say it was a “little bat”.

As in it was Aisha the one who not really told Femi a secret, since at this point everyone in the group knew that Daimon has a lot of different affinities, but that vampire mother of his, actually told Femi about his peculiar situation of “suffering from success”, due to the previous, in other words about Daimon being unable to use his strongest state due to that same talent, without paying a price of course.

And as things turned out, the dwarf princess ended up facing a similar problem, her body couldn’t withstand the “goal” she clearly learned about the very moment she made her entrance to the Blood Prison realm.

That’s right, copper skin and iron bones, the techniques that made Ridge despair and even give up a part of his life just to equal the dwarf princess in battle, were only preparations for Femi, the giant hammer which killed him with a single strike, that was the initial draft of what she wanted to achieve.

‘It became crystal clear that Aisha is insanely strong, but how in the name of Mother Gaia did she know that I was going to end up facing a similar situation as him…’, thought Femi for a second before shrugging.

“Oh well, I’ll leave the complicated part to Tessa, we are in that guy’s own words his “companions” so I shouldn’t think in terms of gains or secrets anyway, mmm, if I remember correctly, the Revy have a branch specialized in fire magic”, mumbled Femi as a sharp light flashed through her eyes, she then stomped her right foot on the ground.

Despite everything in her vicinity trembling, interestingly enough, there wasn’t any sound produced not only due to the previous, but also due to the giant fifty-meter-tall mountain that emerged from the ground in front of the dwarf princess.

With a wave of Femi’s hand, face of the mountain in front of her actually moved to the side, revealing a hollow cavern-like space inside of it, there one could see “sparks” of different colors, grey, dark brown, orange and a few more which were way less noticeable.

The dwarf princess casually jumped inside the hollow space and the mountain closed itself, all the previous didn’t produce any sound nor did it cause the ground to tremble, despite the size of the mountain which outshone the vast majority of the trees.

That being said, if one looked carefully, you would be able to notice that once Femi entered the giant mountain, the thing actually started “beating”, very slowly and without causing any reaction in its surroundings, but it was a constant occurrence.

Leaving aside the dwarf princess, whose challenge rewarding “stage” ended up being both similar but also the opposite of Tessa, since the alfear princess dove into the ground, but Femi raised a mountain to then enter inside of it, moving onto the next and also the closest battlefield, which is the one of the little tiger girl, Dana.

There, we could see a dazzling yellow stream of light, flashing through the air while dodging pitch black spikes that emerged from random directions, some from the branches of the nearby trees, others from the ground an some even from the empty space.

“Humph, you were cooperating so actively with the trees to attack me, so why are you only trying to block me now, come back here!”, Dana who is considered by Daimon quite a well-behaved and calm girl, actually raised her voice as she shouted the previous.

Still, the one to whom Dana was speaking, that panther which seemed to have some animosity with her considering the condescending gaze that the panther gave the little tiger girl, the first time they clashed, instead of answering back, made more of those black spikes to raise from the ground, while rushing into the distance.

‘That stupid tree, I didn’t expect it to be the first one to die even so, one of us losing is still within the error margin expected by the Lord, however those nethereal bastards how come both of them ended up dying as well, I have to return to Marc…’, contrary to what one would expect, the panther blood specter had actually gained proper wisdom, despite it only having peak Lord rank attack power.

The panther was unlike other blood specters who though also had their respective special traits, were overall balanced, this panther had offensive power on the lower end, however its agility, stealth and energy were solidly in the early stage of the Arch rank, not to mention that it was fully conscious and self-aware.

Anyway, the point is that in the middle of Dana’s fight with the panther, the strange blood specter suddenly turned around and tried to get away from the battlefield, but of course the little tiger girl wasn’t going to let that happen, especially because she herself asked to deal with this opponent on her own.

“Lightning Tiger Step”, the panther’s inner monologue was interrupted by the figure of a young girl whose white hair had a few black stripes on it, which appeared in front of it to then slash her with her right hand at the panther.

“Clang!”, Dana’s claws were met with the ones of the panther, the clash resulted in the sound of metals colliding as well as sparks resulting from the dark mana that the panther controlled, fiercely clashing against the little tiger girl’s lightning energy, it didn’t last long before those two retreated on their own though.

“I was unable to confirm it until now, but you… you can talk, right?”, said Dana as she burned the remains of black mana trying to stain her perfectly polished nails.

Naturally, the panther didn’t answer, because why would it confirm the suspicions of an enemy, when that doubt could turn into an opening to kill the opponent, or at least that’s what the panther thought, before the little tiger girl added.

“You must have felt it, due to your instincts, that dumb guy is in real trouble, not that it’s surprising, after all I also didn’t believe it the firs time, that someone as “dangerous” as masked big brother can exist, so I thought my instincts were playing a prank on me as well”, Dana’s words were like rubbing alcohol on an open wound for the panther, whose reaction was a fierce roar.

“Shut up, how dare you belittle Lord Marcus!!!”, the panther’s eyes became bloodshot out of nowhere, then after a large amount of black mana was radiated from its body, accompanied by how it just confirmed itself to be self-aware, black spikes emerged out of every direction around Dana.

“Humph!”, the little tiger answered in kind, with a cold snort, her body exploded in bright yellow lightning which expanded around her.

“Booom!”, the collision between Dana’s energy and the panther’s mana caused a fierce explosion, which blew the ground in between those two, creating a thick curtain of dust.

That being said and while the previous sounded as a good opportunity for the panther to slip away, the strange blood specter not only didn’t take advantage of it, but it actually charged right at Dana, with its claws slashing at the little tiger girl’s chest.

“Black Shadow Bite!”, since the panther no longer cared about maintaining the illusion of being only following Marcus’s orders and its own instincts, then it could call out the name of its techniques and that shortened the casting time.

The panther whose claws were dodged by Dana flashing to the side, smirked as a pair of black mana spike toothed jaws, appeared behind of the little tiger girl, closing in around her the very second, she moved to dodge the panther’s claws.

“Lightning Tail Whip”, unfortunately for the panther, the surprised reaction it expected to see on Dana as she was ambushed thanks to its improved casting time, didn’t appear.

Instead of that, the little tiger girl casually lashed her tail backwards and a large half moon shaped lightning stream was released, from it, preventing the black mana jaws from closing around Dana to finish their function.

“Crack!”, of course the black mana jaws were destroyed alongside the lightning energy stream released by the little tiger girl, so both attacks cancelled out.

‘Damn it, even when I’m chanting the name of my attack, she is fast enough to react without any problem!’, cursed the panther as it actually disappeared from plain sight the next second, not without listening to Dana saying.

“Why the surprise, you are not the only one whose body is also their weapon, not to mention that your speed is no match for mine”.

You might be wondering why is the little tiger girl talking with the enemy, and it’s not due to her inexperience, in fact is the complete opposite, while the panther can’t escape from her, since its speed is not on the same level.

The panther has quite an annoying ability, which is directly related to its specialty which is stealth, and it’s something actually familiar, the panther can… move through the shadows.

Of course, we are not talking about something on par with the undead head maid’s ability, this panther can’t enter the shadow world and move through it like Rita, it’s more accurate to say that the panther can jump from the shadow of an object to another one.

So, it’s more like hiding in and jumping out of shadows, rather than freely moving through them like the undead head maid, still and as degraded as the panther’s ability is, it would be really hard for Dana to kill it, if it remained in the shadows all the time.

Which is why, the little tiger girl took a page from Daimon’s book and provoked the panther so that it would forget about running to Marcus’s side, at least until it had gotten rid of the enemy that was blocking its way.

“I also didn’t expect you to be a woman, sister Femi said that the dumb guy only ever took men as his subordinates”, added the little tiger girl whose eyes were looking at different places as she kept track of the panther who was trying to escape Dana’s gaze to ambush her.

Now, blood specters have no gender, they are not flesh and blood beings after all, they are just living masses of energy solidified to imitate magic beasts, at the peak of the Arch rank they do develop a proper sense of “self” though.

Which is why Reed as the Lust Lord had gotten the shortest end of the stick, the blood specters fought and killed each other but they couldn’t breed, so he couldn’t even get the tiny but of nether that Byron and Aslan managed to squeeze through the cracks in the restrictions of the Blood Prison realm.

As to how did Dana know that the panther was a woman if it didn’t have female characteristics, its voice was that of a woman, which also shouldn’t have been the case by the way, even if it developed a sense of self, it wouldn’t be neither male or female, but a consciousness based on the instincts of the magic beast it had taken the shape off.

“Black Shadow Shredding Claws!”, the panther who heard Dana insulting her master once again, emerged behind of Dana, with her opened jaws aiming to bite the back of her knees, but at the same time, black mana slashing lights descended from above right at her head.

“Lightning Explosive Claws”, the little tiger girl answered by slashing her left hand backwards while her right hand slashed upwards, the panther whose felt the danger coming towards her face had no choice but to dive into the shadows to prevent her eyes from being slashed by Dana’s lightning cladded claws.

But in her mind, she had achieved her goal, because while the little tiger girl countered with her right hand, releasing five slashing lights, her full attack in other words, ten slashing black mana streams were what came out from the shadows.

“Clang!”, Dana’s five slashing lights clashed against the ten black mana streams released by the panther, producing the sounds of metals colliding as well as a stalemate for a couple of seconds.

“Crack!”, as the panther expected, the smaller number of attacks released by Dana were indeed overwhelmed by the ten black slashing streams of black mana, resulting in them being destroyed after the initial clash, allowing the remaining three black stream slashes that had survived the impact to continue their advance, or that was supposed to be the case.

“Boooom!”, however what the panther didn’t expect was that when Dana’s attack was destroyed it fiercely exploded, blowing away the remaining three black slashing streams of black mana, thus allowing the little tiger girl to remain unscathed even after both clashing with the panther’s ambush and her attacks as well.

And that wasn’t all, the violent explosion spread lightning energy in every direction near the area of impact, engulfing Dana who was unaffected by it, while also forcing the panther to come out of her hiding spot in order to get away from area of effect.

“Ackk!”, the panther was taken by surprise by the previous, which is understandable as this is the first time Dana uses this technique, for a good reason, this variation of her lightning shredding claws is something she only recently became able to use, thanks to her now huge energy reserves, courtesy of that black tiger’s red strand, which she had absorbed to obtain an improvement in every aspect.

The result is that the tip of the panther’s tail was reached by the lightning explosion, and even after it distanced herself from Dana, there were some yellow sparks crackling around it, causing the panther a short-lived but intense burning pain.

“Grrrrrr!”, naturally the reaction to this pain, was an aggressive growl from the panther as a wild expression appeared on her face, but the same applied to Dana, an equally wild sharp light flashed through her eyes and yellow arcs of electricity started appearing around her.

“I honestly didn’t care about whether you lived or died, but since you keep getting in my return to the Lord’s side and more importantly you dare to insult him, then go to hell!!!”.

“Black Shadow meteor!”, the panther opened its mouth and black mana gathered in front of it, to then be released in the form of a black stream.

“Lightning Explosive Fist!”, Dana answered by making lightning energy gather around her right fist which she then thrusted forward, apparently the little tiger girl got inspired by Lyn’s savage fighting method, because this new technique of hers, produced a huge shockwave which clashed against the enemy’s attack almost instantly.

“Boooom!”, both attacks met in the air and exploded the next second, aiming to destroy the other and they weren’t the only ones, both Dana and the panther who had flashed from their previous positions, clashed on the ground below the energy cloud which resulted from the collision of their attacks.

“Clang!”, that was the sound of those two’s claws clashing, besides the sparks and the sound of metals colliding, a screeching sound was produced as Dana’s claws forcefully drew thin scratching lines on the panther’s claws, in other words the little tiger girl’s claws at the peak of the Lord realm were… tougher than the panther’s ones at the Arch rank.

Having passed next to the other after that exchange, both Dana and the panther turned around to then launch their next attacks.

“Black Shadow Execution Bite!”, this time a first set of black mana jaws emerged from below, trapping the little tiger girl so that she couldn’t move, well it aimed to cut her body but it was stopped by Dana’s lightning energy protecting her, before a second pair aimed to finish the job by splitting her in half, all this while the panther charged towards the little tiger girl.

“Lightning Tiger Thunder Stomp!”, with a fierce voice and an even fiercer yellow lightning energy radiating from her right foot, Dana took a small step while still being restricted by the first pair of black mana jaws.

“Boooom!”, as if a mountain had descended from the sky, a thunderous explosion echoed through the vicinity as Dana’s right foot landed on the ground, making everything in the vicinity to be blasted away.

“Roaaar!”, that was the panther roaring, but it wasn’t a threatening kind of roar, but a pained one caused by her being hit by the shockwave, while the exploding sound made her ears which were unprepared for this, to bleed.
