Reincarnation of the Strongest Healer

Chapter 1119: Siege’s Target

Chapter 1119: Siege’s Target

With the activation of the guild siege token, a transparent dome quickly enveloped Haven Wind Town and expanded a few meters more.

"Hmph, I bet the Vanguard Guild never expected this!" Luther sneered coldly. This particular token was their trump card.

Upon activation, all the defenses that the Vanguard Guild boasted would become reduced in effect.

Although 10% might not seem a lot, it was already sufficient to lessen the heavy load on their weight.

"A Guild Siege Token, huh." Natasha eyed the transparent dome. "I didn’t expect the Miracle Pavilion to get their hands on such an item."

"It was hard-earned from a hell-mode difficulty dungeon." Luther confidently boasted of their strength.

Despite saying so, many guilds had actively sought after these kinds of guild-related tokens ever since the Vanguard Guild managed to declare an official guild war.

Sure, the investigation proved that the Vanguard Guild used the NPC’s influence to achieve the result. But they also received new knowledge that such tokens could be obtained through dungeons and some elite bosses.

"Your Miracle Pavilion sure is lucky..." Natasha was somewhat impressed with their luck. The Illuminati had also tried their best to find rare items such as these, but to no avail.

As they watched the monsters rise in level and stats, back at Haven Wind Town, a thunderous system notification caused everyone in the town to be dumbfounded.

System Notification: Haven Wind Town has been declared a target of the siege! All players could defend their best to earn contribution points in the ranking list! Those who wish to reject participation are to leave the town’s premises within 10 minutes!

"An official guild siege?"

"Who could have thought we would receive a system prompt?"

"Contribution points in the ranking list, huh. How interesting that the system is offering rewards itself."

Almost immediately, the players were taken by surprise. They didn’t anticipate that they could also choose to participate and earn contribution points.

These contribution points were limited in time, and they were granted access to the system’s store.

Initially, the players didn’t anticipate much, but upon opening the system’s store, their eyes glistened in greed.

"Hot damn, these items are too godly!"

"An epic-ranked item could be traded for a measly 10,000 contribution points?"

"Wait a second, let’s see how the contribution points are calculated."

Although they were all blinded by greed from the attractive items available in the system’s store, they didn’t all lose their composure and make any irrational decisions.

Instead, they chose to see if the items were even capable of redeeming first.

Contribution Point Earning Methods (Siege Event – Haven Wind Town)

Defeating Enemy Players

+50 points per kill (scaled based on enemy’s level & contribution rank).

Bonus: +200 points for killing ranked enemy defenders/attackers.

Eliminating Siege Monsters

+30–500 points depending on monster tier (grunt, elite, mini-boss).

Boss-tier siege creatures can award 5,000+ points.

Repairing Defensive Structures

+100 points per 1% of wall/tower HP restored.

Requires materials or repair kits from supply depots.

Healing Allies (Player or NPC)

+1 point per HP healed during siege combat.

Bonus multiplier for reviving downed allies.

Protecting the Town Core / Guild Banner

+500 points for every 60 seconds spent inside the protection radius while enemies are present.

When the collective players saw the methods for gaining them, they realized it was extremely viable to earn 10,000 plus points.

Keep in mind that there were a lot of monsters outside for them to hunt!

"Haha, I’ll participate!" A player loudly declared. "I don’t care for the Miracle Pavilion or whatnot. They’re not stopping me from getting my desired item!"

"Hmph, you’ll have to ask me if you want to snatch those contribution points from me!"

In less than a few minutes, many players who were ready to flee for safety all resolved to stay and defend the town till the end.

So what if the opposing side was the Miracle Pavilion?

Even if god were to be present, they would still charge ahead to obtain the items they had long wanted.

While they became enthusiastic and motivated for the upcoming swarm of monsters rushing in, back at the Town Hall, Veronica and Carmen were startled by the contribution-earning points method.

"Was this your doing?" Carmen raised an eyebrow and asked.

Veronica shook her head.

"As if I would use the guild’s storage in such a spendthrift manner." She had no such authority to squander their hard-earned wealth and resources.

Shortly after Veronica declared her innocence, the other Vanguard Guild members opened the system’s store and became dazed.

"So these are actually ours, to begin with?" An elite muttered in disbelief.

"Holy shit. How rich is our guild?

Just like the many players outside, they mistakenly believe the items in the system’s store to be truly provided by the system. They didn’t even think about the possibility that these items were actually gathered by their guild.

However, one shocking revelation was particularly made from Veronica’s statement.

If it weren’t Veronica or their Guild Commander who made the move, then who did?

It couldn’t possibly be their Boss, Eclipse Nova, because the latter wasn’t officially a member of their Vanguard Guild.

As for the other elusive Guild Commander, he was nearly forgotten by the many new elites already.

"Who made the action?" Many soon became curious and wondered if they had another hidden member.

Just when everyone was left in confusion, with some of them even thinking it could be their honorary elder, another voice echoed from behind.

"I’ve made the action." Xu Feng appeared out of nowhere and announced. "I reckoned that players are competitive and wished to be incentivized for their effort; what other better ways could there be aside from an open competition?"

"GUILD LEADER!

Like a thunderous roar, everyone started to shout upon his arrival.

Xu Feng gladly waved his hands around while making his way to the center.

While walking forward, many elites swiftly moved aside to make way for him, afraid of hindering his steps.

’Hah, it’s really hard to farm some aura.’ Xu Feng was secretly drenched in sweat. He had sped up the work when assisting Thorin in order to return to the town on time.
