Shortly after Xu Feng explained the exclusivity, Carmen couldn’t help but burst out laughing.

"Hahaha, no wonder they went mad and spread malicious rumors about us." She dangled her legs around and found the Tuning Bloom Guild quite hypocritical.

They were the ones who secretly tried to raid the dungeon without letting anyone know.

Yet the moment they were exposed and caught in a trap, they tried to turn the picture around and paint themselves as the victim.

How comical was that?

As Carmen browsed through the comment section, she was even more amused.

These comments weren’t full of dumb players who blindly believe in the Tuning Bloom Guild’s statement.

Instead, they were all clever folks who knew the guild was damnable. It was just that their jealousy and anger toward the Vanguard Guild surpassed their desire to defend them.

Hence, they rallied up to curse Vanguard Guild as unethical to vent their frustration, and not because they fell for the Tuning Bloom Guild’s deceit.

"I’m still surprised that they aren’t cursing at me, though." Carmen suddenly noticed most of the curses were either on the Vanguard Guild or Xu Feng himself.

None of them even called out her name or nickname!

If anything, she found quite a few similar comments praising her or wanting her to leave this blackhearted guild.

"Look at them openly trying to poach me, Guild Leader. They want to pay me with real money and support me without any restrictions." Carmen leaned closer to him and pointed at a few comments.

"Do you see how valuable I am?"

"Yes, I know." Xu Feng nodded and agreed with the comments. If he hadn’t gotten lucky to encounter Carmen early on, then he would be the same as these commenters.

"You’re so valuable that my guild can barely contain you." He smiled bitterly. This was his honest opinion.

The thing he feared the most was Carmen resigning from his guild and leaving for another. Or worse, going independent.

The current Carmen was extremely capable of going independent and still earned resources greater than any guild.

From time to time, this sort of insecurity would pop up in his mind.

His body tensed up slightly, and he would try his best to regulate his emotions.

While he was once again haunted by this thought, Carmen’s eyes narrowed slightly.

’Again, he’s keeping it to himself.’ She was bitter to see him constantly withhold his own feelings.

Why couldn’t he just ask her directly whether she would leave him or not?

As long as he asked, she would reply to him in earnest that she wouldn’t!

Despite the frustration, Carmen also understood why he felt so lost. As an orphan who was abandoned early on, it was difficult for him to feel any sense of belonging. The fear of abandonment would continuously traumatize him.

"Feng, let’s be together." Carmen raised her hand and held his chin.

"I’m done with all these soap operas and waiting. You said you love me and wanted to pursue me, so let’s begin today."

"Begin today?" Confused, Xu Feng asked, "You mean I can start pursuing you today?"

"What else?" Carmen rolled her eyes. "Don’t think you can directly jump to the status of a boyfriend. You’ve made me wait for a long time, so it’s only right that you deserve to wait for my approval."

Nodding, Xu Feng took a deep breath. He was about to thank her for the opportunity until Carmen interrupted him.

"Let’s log out first." She exclaimed and promptly logged out.

Seeing her swiftness, Xu Feng could only apologize to Veronica. ’Sorry, Veronica. But the aftermath will be cleaned up by you again.’

He sent her a message and effectively logged out.

Meanwhile, in the administrative office, Veronica’s face darkened completely when she noticed both Xu Feng and Carmen had gone offline.

"These two bastards!" She gnashed her teeth and slammed her fist on the desk. "Leaving the cleaning duty to me again while the two of you log out to flirt! I want to quit!"

Veronica was beyond frustrated because she was certain that these two were fooling around together.

After all, it had long been rumored that these two had an unusual relationship.

Their interaction was completely unlike what a teammate would be.

Instead, it was more like a romantic companion. Seeing them was quite frustrating because of how obviously they were attracted to each other, yet unwilling to advance to another step.

Little did Veronica know that the two of them were currently in the real world in their hotel room.

Their bodies were embraced tightly together, their faces practically sticking together.

Occasionally, there would also be some sound of lips smacking.

"Haa Haa... Feng, how are you so professional?" Carmen’s face flushed in redness as she pushed him away slightly. Her lipsticks were smeared, a clear sign that an intense kissing session had taken place.

"I was an actor in a short drama." Xu Feng explained, his face also somewhat red.

"Hmph, you were already a professional prior to the filming." She snorted and grabbed his collar. "Tell me the truth. Are you a playboy or a scumbag who played with women’s hearts?"

"I’m pretty sure you have investigated me already. Shouldn’t you know the answer pretty clearly?"

"I don’t care. Investigating you and hearing from you are two different things."

Just when Carmen was nearly on the verge of raging, Xu Feng suddenly grinned and leaned closer. He pecked her lips softly and said, "Besides the short drama, I’ve never kissed anyone else in this life."

This wasn’t a lie because the current timeline was not the same as the past timeline.

In the past timeline, he indeed had many experiences with multiple women.

However, the majority of them were merely flings or business deal gifts.

There were times when he wanted to reject the women brought to him, but couldn’t because then things would turn sour. These particular incidents had numbed him to the point where he treated them as a form of temporary relief akin to using the restroom.

"I believe you." Carmen suddenly said sincerely. "I don’t care about the past, but from now on, I hope you only have eyes for me. I cannot accept betrayal."
