Chapter 377 - 377: True Demons versus protectors part 3
Daegon landed on the ground, a massive crater forming beneath him. The demon flew down at full speed to finish off Daegon, but Elaine ran in. She transformed into her real form and moved at an insane speed.

She leaped into the air and rammed into the demon before he could reach Daegon. The demon was able to react to her movements easily; he grabbed her by the tail and slammed her into Daegon.
The force of the impact drove Daegon deeper into the ground. The demon stood over Daegon, wanting to deliver the final blow, but Storm was not having it.
A storm cloud gathered over the head of the demon, and a powerful bolt of lightning struck down. The demon used his sword to block the lightning, and that created an opening.
Maze stepped forward from where she stood and conjured a huge metal lance. She fired it at the demon, but before it reached him, a massive black flame exploded from his body.
“Enough games,” the demon said and shot into the air. He flew so fast that their eyes could not follow him. He made a turn in the air and started coming down at an unbelievable speed.
He broke through several speed barriers and slammed into the ground. The entire area exploded into bits, throwing all the heroes and demon kings into the air, and then he moved again.
His body blitzed, and in a single second, he had already killed two. He killed a hero, a female hero, Lena. Her beautiful blonde hair was soaked with blood as her head flew off her body.
He made a quick turn and went for the Minotaur. The Minotaur was able to react and see the sword right before it reached him, but sadly, he lacked the speed to dodge, and his head flew into the air.
The others landed roughly on the ground, but they all got up as fast as they could, only to see that two more of them had died.
Daegon was heavily injured and still in his dragon form. The flames were causing him immense pain. The demon looked over at Daegon and snapped his fingers. The flames became bigger and enveloped Daegon, completely consuming him.
Daegon roared in pain, but he couldn’t get rid of the flames, and he burned there. The strongest demon king died like nothing.
That was when it set in—their weakness, how powerless they were against this demon. Was this the power of a true demon?
The demon saw their fear and laughed. “Hahahaha, yes, yes, yes, this is what I like to see—the despair, the pain, and the fear,” he said and moved again, reaching another hero. Like a pimple, he popped his head.
“Look at you all, with the belief that you can actually stop me. If the Dark Dragon was here, that would have been possible,” the demon said.
Then, suddenly, more roars resounded in the sky, and several demons flew toward them.
They all landed behind the first demon, each one looking the same as the first, with slight differences in color.
The demons looked at the humans and the other races with disgust in their eyes.
“So this is where you were. We had to fly out to see you. A Commander has come out,” one of the demons said.
“Only one Commander has made it through? Who is it?” he asked.
“Your Commander, Lady Zareth,” the demon said.
The first demon had a shocked look on his face when he heard that. He immediately looked at the heroes and demon kings.
“I am deeply sorry that our discussion has to be cut short, but Commander Zareth will kill me if I don’t return to her side. A millennial seal would make anyone grumpy,” the demon said.
He turned to look at the others. “Kill them. Leave their corpses to rot,” he said.
The demons moved immediately. Elaine knew that she would die here if she didn’t do something, so as a last resort, she decided to do what she was not supposed to do—and that was tamper with her fate lines.
She looked for her target, someone that could withstand the backlash of what she was about to do. And the only person that could not die—the Undying Hero, White Fang.
Using her fastest speed, she ran to White Fang before the demons could get to her. She transformed into a human in an instant and stretched out her hands.
White Fang didn’t know what she was doing, but he decided to stretch out his hand and touch hers. As soon as their fingers touched, Elaine manipulated White Fang’s fate lines, shifting his current fate to a wave other than here.
With that shift alone, they both vanished from that location before the demons could reach them. The demons saw this, but they couldn’t do anything now—after all, they had vanished.
They went ahead to kill the heroes and the demon kings in seconds. Their resistance proved useless, and all of them were killed and burned in flames.
The heroes and demon kings—the ones set to protect this world, or so they had always thought—had died.
The demons all left after killing them, and they returned to the empire. Commander Zareth had made this their base.
All the humans had already died in the capital, and only the towns and cities outside had people. But as the demons started spreading, the panic also spread. All the citizens and people of the empire started fleeing.
But not many could get away. The demons were faster, stronger, smarter—only two could take down a town with ease.
None of the weapons of the empire could work. The nobles sent their strongest armies. They sent their demonized. They used all they could to try to stop the demons.
But the demons could not be stopped, and less than an hour after the seal was broken, thirty percent of the empire already belonged to them, and this number was rapidly rising.
