Chapter 488 Level Two Law
“Hey, Sebastian,” Kyle said awkwardly. “I noticed that you’ve succeeded.”
Sebastian smiled widely. “Yep. Full Level Two Law of Yin-Lightning done!”
A Full Level Two Law.
Emperor Winterfire, at most, knew at most two of the approximately five Fragments he needed to comprehend the Full Level Two Law of Yin-Fire, and these Fragments were Auxiliary Fragments.
Meanwhile, Sebastian knew the entire thing.
As Kyle stood in front of Sebastian, he felt tiny.
The way he felt in front of Sebastian was how he had felt standing alone in front of the Second Advisor.
Impossible.
Winning was realistically impossible.
‘He’s probably as powerful or even a bit more powerful than Emperor Winterfire,’ Kyle thought.
‘That’s⦠a lot.’
They hadn’t met each other for a bit more than a year, but within that year, Sebastian had grown to an incredible level.
Sebastian laughed and patted Kyle’s shoulder with a bit too much power. “Don’t worry! One day, you will be as big and strong as I am!”
Kyle took a deep breath.
“You’re even more powerful than I had anticipated,” he said.
“Oh, yeah,” Sebastian said with a smile. “This Law is actually insane! Look at this!”
Sebastian pointed down, and a red bolt of lightning shot out.
Within less than a second, he had created a hole that reached all the way to the current of Yin-Wind.
“And you know what the craziest part is?” Sebastian asked. “By doing that, my Ether actually increased! I’ve literally got more Ether than before I dug this hole!”
Kyle’s eyes widened.
“I just absorb Ether,” Sebastian said. “I need a bit of Ether to produce the Yin-Lightning, but I get way more Ether back. It’s like lighting a gas cannister on fire. Use a bit of fire to get lots of fire.”
“Look at this!”
Then, Sebastian shot a big bolt of Yin-Lightning at the stream of Yin-Wind.
Within an instant, Kyle felt the density of Ether in Sebastian shooting through the roof.
It was like he was filled to the brim with energy, ready to burst forth.
BANG!
An explosion of lightning appeared behind Sebastian, and he appeared a kilometer away in an instant.
“You see this?” Sebastian transmitted from a distance. “I supercharge myself with Yin-Lightning, raising my Ether capacity temporarily to 200%. Then, I unload half of my current Ether to get back to my normal level, but that Ether doesn’t just vanish! Just now, I used it to move really fast! This is essentially how fast I can become for just a single instance by unloading every bit of Ether I would usually have.”
“Then, bam!”
Sebastian absorbed more Ether.
“Back to 200% and ready to unleash another attack!”
BOOOOOOM!
Sebastian unleashed a torrential flood of lightning that took out hundreds of meters of Metal-Earth Stone.
“Crazy, right?” he asked with a smile as he appeared in front of Kyle again.
Kyle gulped.
“That’s⦠something,” he said.
“Yeah, my burst damage is crazy strong now!” Sebastian said with a laugh. “Level Two Laws make Level One Laws look like jokes!”
Kyle could only nod.
Sebastian noticed that Kyle had been rather taciturn during the conversation and realized that he might have overdone it.
“But the other Level Two Laws are probably just as strong,” he said. “Also, you’ve got three you can comprehend. Even more, you’re aiming for a really strong Complex Level One Law with your theorized Law of the Meteor. I mean, I also didn’t think I would become this powerful by just understanding a single Level Two Law.”
Kyle sighed once again. “I hope so. Anyway, I’m really happy for you.”
“Thanks,” Sebastian said with a smile. “By the way, are you done with your Law of Fire?”
“Not yet, I’m still missing something, and I’m honestly not sure what it is,” Kyle said.
“Oh? Tell me! Maybe I can help,” Sebastian said.
Kyle told Sebastian about his concerns, and Sebastian thought about it for a while.
“Wait a sec.”
Sebastian vanished from the underground and came back within just a couple of seconds with a bunch of wood.
“Look,” he said as he pointed at the wood.
Then, a small bolt of lightning hit the wood, and the wood started burning.
“Can you see how that works?” he asked.
Kyle’s eyes shone.
“I partially know how it works, but not entirely.”
“There we go,” Sebastian said with a smile. “Let me help you with this. I don’t have anything to comprehend anymore anyway.”
“Sure, thanks, Sebastian,” Kyle said.
“No prob!”
Then, Sebastian proceeded to light wood on fire with his lightning, and Kyle watched.
After just a few weeks, Kyle finished his comprehension. He had still been missing this part, but it hadn’t been a lot that had been new.
“I’m getting closer,” Kyle said. “Just a tiny bit more. I feel like I’m missing just one last bit.”
Sebastian scratched his chin.
“Do you know how you produce Fire Ether?” Sebastian asked. “Or, more precisely, how you turn Neutral Ether into Fire Ether?”
Kyle blinked a couple of times.
“I mean, I can do it, but I don’t exactly know how it works. My body just does it automatically.”
“There you go! Try looking at that,” Sebastian said. “You probably don’t need me for that.”
“It’s fine. Thank you for your help again,” Kyle said with a smile.
Sebastian nodded. “I’ll be looking around the place. I’m essentially just waiting for you to finish anyway. Might as well look around a bit.”
Some seconds later, Sebastian left, and Kyle sat down, focusing on how his Center actually produced the Fire Ether.
Kyle quite quickly realized that there were a lot of concepts he hadn’t learned yet about how to create Fire Ether, and he noticed how these new bits of knowledge also slightly changed how his other concepts worked.
For the next two months, Kyle refined his other concepts by looking at how he produced Fire Ether himself, and eventually, he created an overarching concept regarding fire’s creation.
‘That’s a solid concept!’ Kyle thought with a smile. ‘Pretty sure that’s good enough!’
Then, he gathered all his insights and tried to condense the Law of Fire.
And this time, it didn’t resist in any way.
