Chapter 526 Recovering
An unknown amount of time passed.
Eventually, Kyle just leaned back on his throne and sighed.
He looked at the ceiling for a while before sighing again.
“Well, whatcha gonna do?” he said.
“Yes, it sucks. In fact, it sucks A LOT.”
“But I’m not really someone who commits suicide. Not sure why. Maybe I just like surviving.”
Kyle stood up from his throne for the first time in a long while.
The searing pain was still there.
It hurt like a motherfucker every single second.
“But, yeah, well, if I don’t kill myself, I have to keep living, I guess.”
Kyle looked at the world.
He didn’t know how much time had passed, but he noticed that the world had calmed down again.
Many of the small villages had been destroyed.
The population dropped considerably.
However, the bigger towns and cities were still in one piece, and people were actually living their lives again.
Kyle also noticed that some of the people had already undergone some of the rituals found in the books Kyle had spread.
Yet, the cities still looked rather empty.
There were far more buildings than people.
The number of children had also reduced considerably,
‘The powder has already taken effect. I must have been sitting on this chair for a couple of years. Probably something like five years or so.’
Kyle didn’t notice it, but the Karmic Lines leading to him had changed.
Only 70% of them were red, and that mostly came from the people who weren’t able to have children anymore.
With time, these people would die.
There were also some lines that were bright green.
These came from people who had the best time of their lives.
They could eat beasts!
They had much more powerful techniques and Spells, thanks to the books!
Resources were so much easier to acquire!
There was so much less competition!
Even some of the people who couldn’t have children felt great.
Not everyone was interested in romance and children, and the ones who weren’t interested found it far easier to get further ahead in life.
Ether Pebbles, Stones, and Gems were so much cheaper!
They were over four times more abundant than before!
People who had been stuck due to a lack of finances could finally advance.
That was understandable. After all, if Kyle had been in their shoes, he would also have benefited tremendously.
Except for the death of some of his friends, this entire thing would have only had positive impacts on him if he were still a Warrior.
Normal life had returned. It was not like the old normal, but it was still normal.
Kyle just watched the world for a while.
It was nice to see that not everyone was suffering.
The new world didn’t seem so bad.
Kyle sighed.
‘But what’s the point of that? Great that they don’t feel bad, but that doesn’t change that I’m feeling like I’m burning alive right now,’ Kyle thought.
Kyle took a deep breath.
‘Yeah, well, just gotta deal with it. I can’t keep sitting around here. I should experiment.’
‘I want to see if I can actually get out. Maybe, there’s a way.’
Kyle looked at the World Ceiling.
BANG!
He shot towards the ceiling and reached it in a second.
His speed had broken the 100 kilometers-per-second mark.
In this world, he was the undisputed ruler.
A Level Four Transcending Beast could only reach speeds of 40 kilometers per second, and only if they had comprehended Fragments related to speed.
There was no comparison.
Kyle could fight hundreds of them at once since none of them would be fast enough to hit him.
Kyle looked at the World Ceiling and touched it.
He pressed against it.
It didn’t give.
The next moment, Kyle summoned his hammer and struck the World Ceiling.
As soon as his hammer hitβ¦
BANG!
Kyle’s hammer broke.
The World Ceiling vibrated a bit, but that was it.
As Kyle looked at his broken hammer, he frowned.
‘It can’t resist my power anymore,’ he thought. ‘If I just used my physical power, it would still be able to withstand the impact, but my Meteor Ether increases my power by too much.’
‘It increases my power and speed, but it doesn’t increase the hardness of my equipment.’
‘I need to fix this.’
Kyle closed his eyes and scanned the world.
CRACK!
A chunk of metal broke through the ground near a town and flew into the sky.
The same thing happened in many different parts of the world.
Some moments later, hundreds of pieces of metal floated in front of him.
These were all the Rank S Materials he could find.
Some of them came from the World Wyrm.
Some of them came from the surroundings of the Colossus.
A big chunk of them came from Metal Beasts in the ocean.
A lot of them came from the underground.
Kyle didn’t know how old the world was, but it had to be extremely old.
This world had existed for at least tens of thousands of years, if not more.
And over these many years, people and beasts with Metal Affinities had existed.
Rank S Metals didn’t break easily, and at some point, they would be covered by dirt and sink into the ground.
Kyle immediately heated the first of the piles into liquid and surrounded his body.
He didn’t even feel the heat since the searing pain of his Sin Flames overwhelmed it.
But that didn’t matter.
His body felt it, and that was all that was important.
Next, he consumed the pile and focused on it.
After just a couple of minutes, Kyle completely understood this material.
These materials were exceedingly complex, but Kyle’s mind had advanced tremendously after becoming a Transcendent.
Additionally, his past experiences in comprehending Laws also helped him.
Just a day later, Kyle finished comprehending all the different Rank S Metal Materials.
Sadly, it wasn’t enough to find an overarching Fragment.
There were more Rank S Materials in existence, but they were not available in this world.
‘Then, I’ll just experiment and guess!’
‘It’s not like I’m lacking time.’
