Chapter 539 Positions

Kyle looked at the four positions he could take.

There were also long explanations about what the position entailed when he clicked on one of them.

First, he clicked on the position of Associate.

The position of Associate represented a loose partnership. People who took this position were not allowed to share the Cult’s secrets, but that wasn’t a big deal since they wouldn’t get any sensitive information from the Cult anyway.

Associates receive minor protections from people a Realm higher than them, and they would receive access to the Contribution Point System, which was what the Cult used to trade.

‘Fucking Contribution Points again.’

Apparently, Contribution Points could be exchanged for fucking everything.

Associates could also accept missions, but there were not a lot of missions for them to choose from.

They also needed to pay full price for everything.

And that was it.

No rules, obligations, and whatever else a company usually wanted.

They didn’t even ask for loyalty. Apparently, an Associate could just fuck off and join any other power whenever they wanted. They didn’t even need to quit.

Apparently, everyone was eligible to become an Associate.

‘Pretty cool. If I were more powerful, I would totally choose that. Sadly, that position is only useful when you are quite strong.’

Then, Kyle looked at the next position, which was the first one that also had a requirement.

Initiate.

In order to become an Initiate, one had to be a Transcendent. It was important to note that one specifically had to be a Transcendent, not Transcendent or stronger.

People in the Primal Realm, Primals for short, were not eligible to become Initiates.

As an Initiate, one would fully join the Cult as a new recruit. Like an army, they would be thrown into boot camp, which would only end when the Initiate became a Primal.

‘Bro, 95% of Initiates die during bootcamp. That’s crazy,’ Kyle thought.

When an Initiate became a Primal and came out of bootcamp, they would be assigned a new position based on their skills.

‘I guess all these Transcendents who came out of the portals were recruited as Initiates.’

‘I would have probably also become an Initiate if I hadn’t had a True Sin Aura. At least, that’s what I think the reason is. I mean, that chick sent me out when she saw my True Sin Aura.’

Initiates did not have access to Contribution Points since they couldn’t earn Contribution Points anyway. Their entire day was planned out by the Cult, and they would receive what they needed.

They were assigned battles, times to comprehend Laws, resources, and so on.

The purpose of an Initiate was to be forged into a more powerful person.

Initiates were also not allowed to just leave. They were only allowed to buy their way out or leave after they got through bootcamp.

When Kyle read a certain line in the introduction, his eyes widened.

‘Part of the bootcamp includes the creation of a True Sin Aura!’

‘Dude, why?!’

“Question,” Kyle said as he looked at the man in front of him. “Why do you guys want to condense True Sin Auras? I got mine myself, and I don’t see why you would want that.”

“That information is classified as internal,” the man answered calmly. “You have to join us first.”

“Sure,” Kyle muttered as he looked back.

‘Well, anyway. I’m not going to be an Initiate.’

Then, Kyle looked at the next position.

Acolyte.

When Kyle saw the requirements, his brows rose.

Realm requirements: True Wisdom Fire Realm, Compression Realm with 10/12 Unlocks, Primal Realm with Fulfilled Advancement, Transcendent with Level 1.5 Complex or Level Two Pure Advancement.

Kyle didn’t know a lot about the higher Realms, but he could guess what most of this meant.

‘But why guess when you can just ask?’

“Hey, what does that mean?” Kyle asked, showing the man the Realm requirements.

“You just need to be in the True Wisdom Fire Realm. There are no requirements for your advancement. The Primal has 12 possible Unlocks. You can advance with a minimum of seven, but you will turn into a False Crusher. Eight turns you into a Real Crusher. Anything additional is a bonus,” the man explained.

“If you want to join as a Primal, you must have become a Fulfilled Transcendent before advancing. The last one should be clear.”

“Huh,” Kyle answered, “guess Acolytes are the talented new recruits. They probably get a shitload of resources and opportunities.”

“Everything is on the console,” the man answered.

Kyle looked back at the display and looked more closely at the position of Acolyte.

‘Yep, sure enough,’ Kyle thought. ‘Bunch of resources and privileges. There’s also much more freedom. Acolytes are not micro-managed. They are free to make their own schedule. The Cult only wants proof that their power is growing at an adequate rate.’

‘Huh, if you’re a Transcendent, they can even send you to a Secondary World. If you manage to destroy the Secondary World, you even get all the resources they would have given you to grow paid out together with a bonus. That’s gotta be a lot of money.’

‘You know, that doesn’t sound so bad.’

But then, Kyle read a disclaimer.

‘Ah, fuck. I can’t have a True Sin Aura to be eligible for this mission.’

‘Honestly, being an Acolyte doesn’t sound bad. I will probably choose that one.’

Then, Kyle looked at the last position.

Parasite.

‘Ah, I see,’ Kyle thought as he looked at the requirements.

One had to be in the Fourth Realm or stronger, and one had to have some achievements that went beyond the norm. Examples were becoming a Fulfilled Transcendent or unlocking 9/12 Clusters.

Additionally, and most important of all…

One had to have a True Sin Aura that was condensed in any world other than the Supreme World. Additionally, the True Sin Aura must have been condensed before one joined the Cult of Final Fate.

‘So, basically, you need to have the power of an Acolyte while also having a premade True Sin Aura.’

‘Not many people are eligible for that position. Seems to be very difficult to fill.’

‘Sure hope the pay is worth it.’

Kyle read through the description of the position of Parasite, and his eyes widened.

‘Brah, yes, please!’
