Chapter 1297: Growth
Chapter 1297: Growth
Nathan had done his best to create crystal armor for his familiars. Unfortunately, he didn’t have enough time to do it for everyone.
He only managed to get a few important ones, such as Anubis, Nidhogg, Jinwu, and Qilin.
These four were the ones he had used in a battle before, so he knew how effective they were. Mae, Kun, and Orochi had to wait.
Orochi was indeed strong, but after the previous growth, Orochi’s strength might be much more useful in his original form rather than his crystal form. The same applied to Kun.
Of course, Fenrir seemed to be trying to get something from Xolotl, not wanting to let anyone be stronger than him. Xolotl was enough, but it was simply because he was a true god.
His pride wouldn’t allow Nidhogg or Orochi to get stronger than him. Still, he might make a fuss about it, but he wouldn’t necessarily stop them. Instead, he would simply work even harder.
Unfortunately, Xolotl refused him, no he refused all of them. On the one hand, Xolotl might look like he was helping because that was needed to defeat the two elite class aliens. On the other hand, their power was simply too weird.
Mae and Qilin basically understood all elements, so his advice might not work on them. Anubis had a similar death-like divinity, but Anubis was all about soul and afterlife, while his death divinity was about deformities.
The only ones who could benefit from his advice were probably Jinwu and Nidhogg. They both had their respective strong elements, such as the sun fire and chaos flame.
But doing it might cause a bit of a problem. And that problem was none other than Fenrir.
While Fenrir had great power, it was not an element. Fenrir’s absolute strength was fundamentally different from any of them. It was a pure force that crushed everything in its way, including their elements.
So, Xolotl was clueless about what to say to Fenrir.
Besides, if Jinwu wanted a teacher, he should probably get Ra as his teacher. Considering Ra was the enemy of Apep, one of the strongest gods in the mythology, Ra could be said to be one of the true gods.
With both of them wielding the sun, they should have a lot of things in common.
At the same time, Nathan didn’t really want to summon Ra simply because he overlapped with Jinwu. It was true that Ra’s power would be beneficial, but if Jinwu could grow to his limit, he might become equal to Ra, making Ra’s value go down.
Each divine beast was a peak existence, so Nathan had to be careful in summoning more familiars. There was no need for a mountain to host two kings. That was why he focused on Xolotl’s kind of death instead of Anubis’ kind of death divinity.
Nevertheless, the training had to wait for a bit. Nathan had no other resort but to ask Xolotl to teach them if they truly needed it.
Fortunately, Fenrir and the others thought about improving themselves after seeing Orochi and Kun’s growth. They probably wanted to sneer at him, telling them that they got stronger without anyone’s help.
Once Nathan was done with the crystal armor, he continued with the absorption of the elite class cores.
Because of the manual, he was able to get more ena than he originally expected.
Since he still had some time, he decided to continue to the rest of the cores, mostly mature and warrior class cores.
These cores didn’t originate from a single battle. It came from the entire trip.
Just by absorbing all cores above the mature class, Nathan surpassed five million ena in his body. Yes, even with Xolotl’s summoning, he surpassed that threshold.
Unfortunately, he returned to under five million because he gave a bit of his ena to Mae to unlock the next level of her divinity.
While it looked like Nathan’s strength had grown so quickly, it was just a pseudo speed.
Nathan had to spread his ena to all his familiars so that they would reach the ten million ena threshold to get another major unlock of their divinity.
Since he currently had 9 familiars, he needed 81 million to make all of them reach that level. Of course, Nathan planned to have more familiars, so the required amount would simply increase further from this point on.
That was why most of the world class summoners or even the crystal fusion stage summoners on this continent focused on only 6 to 7 familiars.
Still, Nathan was confident he could do it because of the dream. That was right. In his dream, he would have to face an army of one thousand elite class aliens.
Although he didn’t know whether it would become a reality or not, he knew that the alien race was simply that big.
There should be no problem in getting hundreds of millions of ena from them just so that his familiars would return to their peak state or go beyond it.
They were needed if he wanted to fight the singularity and Azathoth after all.
Still, with so much ena, Nathan surprisingly got his quality upgraded.
At 3,000,000 ena, Nathan’s quality had changed from ‘Excellent (High)’ to ‘Perfect (Low).’
Of course, his absorption rate increased as well. He currently has a 68% absorption rate.
It was surprising that he still had such a low absorption rate even though there were only two more levels before his quality reached the peak.
But he noticed that there was an exponential increase the higher his quality was. So, the next level would definitely increase a lot.
Nevertheless, Nathan had the manual. With his current mastery, he managed to get 16% more from the cores.
In other words, his current absorption rate was not 68% but 84%. Remembering how low his absorption rate was when he first came to this world, Nathan had truly grown a lot.
Of course, the manual’s limit was 28%, so he could get another 12% as long as he mastered the manual, but by that time, he might not need it anymore since he could get it to 100% just by upgrading his quality one more time.
Nathan strategically used the last two days to upgrade himself.
It was finally time to visit Evelyn.
