Chapter 788 - 788: The Power of World Class Summoner
The group continued toward the city, bringing so many aliens with them. The flying aliens alone numbered over two thousand. And there were still numerous aliens under the ocean, which couldn’t be counted as they hadn’t reached the surface.
Last but not least, their biggest threat was definitely the elite class alien.
If the royal family didn’t send any reinforcements, there was a high chance that even Lena wouldn’t be enough to defend the city.
However, it was fortunate that those in high command understood the severity of the situation and acted accordingly.
When the city was in sight, Lena couldn’t help but glance back, noticing the barrier that protected the city. “Is that…”
“Ah!” Flora gasped. “That power… It’s my teacher!”
“Your Teacher?” Nathan raised his eyebrows.
“I’ve told you about him previously. Duke Coline Tash. He is my teacher.”
“The world class summoner, huh?” Nathan frowned.
“Nathan, Flora. You two should go there and inform them about our arrival and the aliens. We will have the Duke act first before these aliens reach the dock.
“Tell him that we will fight them on the dock and prevent anything from reaching the city. I will support him, so he shall handle this elite class alien.”
Nathan and Flora exchanged looks. With Flora there, she should be able to convince Duke Coline.
That was why Nathan recalled Nidhogg and asked him to take them to the city as quickly as possible while the rest held back the aliens.
On the way, Nathan noticed a single old man standing on top of the tallest building on the dock.
He had a youthful and fierce aura, like the Sword Saint, making him look much younger than his actual age. He was wearing a white robe and holding a long wand with a red crystal in its eye.
Flora pointed at him and said, “That’s him. Nathan. We’re going there!”
“Nidhogg.”
“Oh!” Nidhogg dove from the sky. The soldiers panicked for a second, but Duke Coline seemed to have noticed Flora.
Nidhogg forcefully stopped his dive right before Duke Coline.
“Oh, Flora!” Duke Coline smiled. “You brought a lot of aliens here.”
“Teacher!” Flora smiled wryly before shaking her head. “No, wait. There’s no time for it. Please help us, Teacher.
“My aunt will be supporting you later, so please handle the elite class alien. That big one.
“Also, those flying aliens, specifically those insects, are a problem. They are able to control the human brain.”
“Huh? Human brain? Where did you get that information?” Duke Coline frowned. “I have never heard of it.”
Flora glanced at Nathan, implying the answer. Nathan explained, “I am Nathan. Those insects are called the Shan. I got this information from my familiars. They’re an annoying insect who loves to torture slave races from other worlds for pleasure.”
Duke Coline couldn’t help but recall what Julius said about this guy. “Well, there’s no time to prove it right now. According to you, which one is more troublesome, those insects or the elite class alien?”
Nathan replied without hesitation. “Insects! The elite class alien is strong… overwhelmingly strong. However, those insects are annoying. If they end up possessing our warriors or even the citizens, this place will turn into hell.”
Duke Coline smiled. “Alright then. I have a small mission for you. Your information needs to be validated. Hence, I want you to catch several of them alive. I will wipe out most of them now.”
Nathan’s expression turned solemn. “I understand.”
Duke Coline nodded and tapped the roof with the back of his staff. “In that case, let’s begin!”
A massive amount of ena erupted from the duke’s body. “Activate!”
Suddenly, a few places were lit up with fire, startling Nathan and Flora.
Duke Coline lifted up his wand as the fire soared into the sky and formed a massive magic circle.
“Be judged by the almighty star. Grade 7 Offensive Magic, Star Shower.”
“!!!” Nathan widened his eyes in shock, as this was the first time he witnessed the full power of a world class summoner. Even the Sword Saint had never unleashed his strength on this level in front of him.
That huge, red magic circle glowed brightly and spewed out rocks covered in fire. No one could count the number as it was flying into the sky and gradually descending like pouring rain.
Even the summoners and soldiers on top of Kun couldn’t help but widen their eyes.
“This human… is strong.” Fenrir and Anubis frowned.
The fire rocks fell like a meteor. They even exploded upon contact, which caused even more devastation. The flying aliens desperately avoided the rocks, but a lot of them failed and caused the explosion, blasting other aliens around them.
“!!!” The elite class alien noticed the devastation and hurriedly used its tentacles to cover the flying aliens.
Boom!
Boom!
Boom!
Despite a lot of explosions hitting the tentacles, the latter only received a small injury.
However, Duke Coline pointed his wand forward. “It’s not time for you to shield them. Grade 6 Offensive Magic, Fire Devastation.”
A magic circle appeared in front of Duke Coline as it released a laser-like fire toward the tentacles.
The overwhelming fire actually melted the tentacles, causing the elite class alien to wail in agony.
“Eeee!” The alien gathered its power again before releasing its deafening roar to interrupt everything.
“Tsk.” Nathan and Flora gritted their teeth. It wasn’t too loud since there was still quite a distance between them, but Kun looked like he was in pain, as he had a hard time maintaining a stable flight.
Amphitrite hurriedly used her water to block those mouths again, but the alien had learned from the previous attack and slapped the water.
Duke Coline tapped the ground and formed a massive magic circle above Kun.
“!!!” Lena noticed what kind of magic it was. She immediately raised her sword.
“Grade 6 Support Magic, Fire Endowment.”
The magic circle dropped a massive flame that coated Lena’s sword. Without hesitation, Lena leaped toward the alien.
The elite class alien used its other hand to stop her, but Lena simply slashed downward. Her sword strike that was supposed to deal little damage to the elite class alien actually cut off the arm entirely.
Nathan subconsciously dropped his jaw as he thought, ‘So… this is a world class summoner!’
