SUPREME ARCH-MAGUS

Chapter 1018 - 1018: Back to Home!

After coming out of Sea realm, Kent moved to the closest city and paid hefty sum for a distant teleportation.

A dull hum trembled in the air as the teleportation gate near the edge of the forbidden forest cracked open with golden radiance. In a flash of rippling space, Kent emerged from the gate, his long cloak fluttering behind him like the tail of a dragon. His eyes—sharpened by the trials of the Sea God Abyss—flashed with a glint of urgency.

“Sparky!” Kent called.

The spirit ring glowed…

The skies above churned, and with a thunderous roar, a massive dragon with glimmering obsidian scales dove from the clouds, landing beside Kent. Sparky’s eyes shone with fierce loyalty as Kent mounted him.

“Master, are we heading to Royal academy or slave Village?” Sparky asked excitedly as he felt free in the open skies.

“No… We need to rush towards the Red Silk City,” Kent said, his voice cold and determined. “I don’t know what awaits, but something in my bones says they’re in danger.”

With a beat of its wings, Sparky surged into the air, splitting clouds as they soared toward the Red Silk City. The world below blurred as Kent’s mind churned. He replayed the moment when Nyara, the second Naga princess, confessed her feelings. He had given her his word. But now, the fate of his women—Amelia, Lily, Sophia, and others—overshadowed every promise.

Few Days Later…

Meanwhile, Red Silk City trembled under the heavy boot of tyranny. The emperor Kai personally began hunting for Kent’s women.

The streets, once buzzing with the hum of trade and laughter, now echoed with chaos. The arrival of Emperor Kai with his elite personal guards had turned the city into a war zone. The reason? A desperate search for Kent’s women, believed to be hiding in the city under the protection of Fatty Ben.

Fatty Ben was running out of options. Sweat rolled down his round cheeks as he ushered the group of women through a secret alley behind the collapsing Golden Peony Inn. His eyes darted with panic.

“Stick close! We need to reach the southern sewers,” he whispered.

Amelia gripped Lily’s hand tightly, her face pale. “Ben… do you think we can escape this time?”

“Don’t worry, before anything could happen to us, my master will come,” Ben said without a doubt. “Master Kent always keeps his promises.”

But even before they reached the exit of the alley, the world erupted.

BAM! A massive spell formation lit up beneath their feet—a seal long hidden by the Emperor’s men. Walls of spirit energy rose, sealing their path. Soldiers emerged from the rooftops, the ground, even the shadows.

Emperor Kai himself descended with grace and arrogance, riding a floating silver lotus. Behind him, Lake Master’s daughter Lanxia strutted, her eyes burning with jealousy and cruelty.

“You rats truly thought you could escape me?” Kai’s voice boomed. “Drag them all! Publicly! Let the city witness what happens to those who consort with a traitor.”

Chains formed from spiritual metal bound their wrists. Despite the women’s resistance, they were overwhelmed. Even Fatty Ben, though he fought with surprising ferocity, was subdued. Bruised, bloodied, and humiliated, they were dragged through the main street of Red Silk City.

Lanxia laughed as she whipped the women with a vine imbued with lightning. “Where is your hero now? Your Kaban? Hiding in some cave like a coward while his women are paraded like criminals.”

Emperor Kai raised a hand and addressed the people gathered around. “Let this be known to all nations! If Kent King does not appear in two days, I shall execute one woman each day. Maybe then the false king will crawl back from his exile.”

Cries of anguish and gasps of horror echoed from the crowd. But none dared intervene. The power of the Emperor was absolute.

Kent used several space talisman to cover hundreds of miles in one instance. Unlike last time, he almost crossed teh forbidden forest in just 3 days.

As he reached close to Red Silk City, Kent saw the blazing spirit flames that now coiled above Red Silk City. The Sparky folded it’s wings and made a straight dash towards the distant crowd.

The sight shocked Kent for a second.

His eyes narrowed. His spiritual senses locked onto the wave of pain, humiliation, and suppressed anger radiating from his women. Sparky growled, sensing his master’s fury.

“Faster,” Kent whispered.

When they were a few miles away, Kent raised his hand and summoned a jade talisman that pulsed with space law.

“Gate of Shattered Shadows.”

The talisman shattered. A rift opened, and Kent stepped through it, vanishing into thin air.

At the center plaza of the King Family compound, a stage was prepared. The women had been shackled to wooden pillars, their faces swollen, yet defiant. Fatty Ben stood to the side, unconscious.

Emperor Kai lifted a glowing blade toward Amelia. “Let us begin with the one who dared look me in the eye!”

Suddenly—

BOOM!

The space above them shattered like glass. A swirling storm of spiritual power erupted, and a shadow fell over the entire plaza. Kent descended like a thunder god, the trident of the Sea God spinning in his hand.

“You dare!” Kent’s voice echoed, magnified by the Sea God’s might. The ground trembled.

The soldiers reacted too late. Kent smashed the heavenly sword into the center of the formation. Spiritual barriers shattered. The chains binding his women melted into steam.

Lanxia screamed and fled, but a flick of Kent’s fingers sent her flying into a pillar.

Emperor Kai staggered back. “Impossible! You… you were a peak earth magus!”

Kent advanced. “And now I’ve returned.”

Kai unleashed a barrage of spirit attacks, but Kent blocked them all with the Sea God Trident. With a mighty roar, Kent struck the ground, and a wave of blue energy spread out, swallowing the entire army of Emperor Kai.

One by one, they dropped their weapons. They could not move. Their limbs betrayed them.

Kent turned to his women. “I’m sorry I came late. But I’m here now.”

Sophia ran forward and embraced him, followed by Amelia and Lily.

Fatty Ben, now waking up, limped forward. “About time, boss. I almost peed myself.”

Kent chuckled. “We’re leaving. All of us. And no one’s going to stop us.”

He turned to Emperor Kai one last time. “I won’t kill you today. Not because you don’t deserve it, but because your death will come tomorrow. I will execute you like a rat. Just wait for one day!”

The emperor stood in shock and fear. Now, Kent is equal to him in cultivation. More than anything, Kent is powerful enough to kill him. Without second thought the emperor ran away from the King family compound.
