Chapter 2082: A Reunion.
Chapter 2082: A Reunion.
“…what else?
We report the truth.”
Simba spoke with a solemn look on his face.
“Oh? Will you now?”
Suddenly, both Simba and Arshia heard a voice. The two turned around and their eyes fell on a familiar man, a man they still had not forgotten.
“Nux! You are alive!”
Arshia’s eyes widened in surprise.
“Wow, I didn’t think I would be cursed the instant I got here.”
Nux commented with a light smile on his face.
“N-No, I wasn’t cursing you…
I was just surprised…”
Arshia tried to explain herself,
“Pleasantly surprised…”
She muttered in an extremely low voice.
Nux laughed as he glanced at the three-eyed woman. He then turned towards the Lionhead and—
The man was horrified.
Simba stared at Nux, pale-faced.
Alive…
This insane monster was alive!!
B-But how was this possible!?
He took the black mission and went to Umbrasol!
Every being who went there didn’t return!
Even an Eternal from the Supreme Worlds was no exception!
If even an Eternal failed, how could someone like him succeed!?
There were too many questions in his head, however, these questions currently did not matter. Simba’s mind started racing even further…
This man did something even the Supreme Worlds failed to, yet he still acted like he was dead. There was even a woman from the Supreme World that came here, wanting them to erase his records because she wanted to ’wash away the shame’.
This… this didn’t make any sense… unless…
Unless this man did all this because he wanted to cut ties with the Supreme Worlds.
’But why?’
Simba did not understand.
Why would anyone want to cut his ties with a Supreme World?
’No, that’s not important right now.’
The Lionhead quickly shook his head, his face turning even more solemn.
The reasoning did not matter, the fact was that this man was here.
’Why?’
Simba wondered and very quickly, he got the answers.
’He wants to make sure no one finds out about him.’
Simba then stared at Arshia and—
’Me and her are the only few people who know what he wishes to hide from the Supreme Worlds…’
Nux’s intention of coming here couldn’t be clearer.
Simba felt a strong chill down his spine, he felt like his entire body had given up. Honestly, he had gotten stronger than before, even Arshia had broken through and had now become a Primordial, just like him.
But…
Even then—
Simba knew they stood no chance.
This monster… Simba could see that just like them, he had broken through as well.
He was a Primordial as well and in no Universe did Simba think that he and Arshia alone would be able to stop him.
With his strength, if this monster wanted, he could have gotten rid of them any time but…
’He hasn’t done anything yet.’
The Lionhead realized.
He then stared at Nux with a careful look on his face and—
“…why are you here?”
He questioned.
Nux stared back at him, seeing Simba’s careful face, he realized there was no need to explain anything, the Lionhead was smart enough to deduce what he wanted,
“How many people know about me?”
He questioned directly.
“…it does not matter.”
Simba answered, making Nux frown.
“You are underestimating them.”
The Lionhead spoke with a grim look on his face. Nux’s frown deepened even further,
“Even if you kill us, they will know what they wish to know, you won’t be able to hide from them.”
He spoke.
Seeing the turn the conversation was taking, Arshia’s excited expression disappeared. She slowly stepped away from Nux, wary.
Nux did not stop her either, soon, as if he sensed something, he turned towards the three-eyed woman and,
“Don’t bother, I have sealed the space around the area. Space Artifacts won’t work here.”
He informed, and Arshia’s face turned even more solemn.
Nux once again glanced at Simba and,
“If I get rid of you and every other being who knew about me and this mission, how would they know?”
He questioned with a grin befitting of a third-rate villain.
“This is a world of mercenaries, information can never be truly hidden here.”
Simba answered. For some reason, seeing Nux act the way he was acting right now, a strange confidence filled him. A part of him wanted nothing more than to wipe that smug off this thankless bastard’s face, even if that cost his life.
“You defeated tens of thousands of mercenaries that day, a higher number of mercenaries watched you do that, an even higher number heard of such a surprising thing happening, and an even higher number of mercenaries started spreading what happened.
You said how would they know after you get rid of those who know about you, correct?
Then let me ask you this, how are you going to kill every being that knows about you when their numbers is in trillions spread throughout the Universe?”
“They only know about me, not the mission I took. You erased that information yourself, did you not?”
Nux countered with the same grin.
But Simba didn’t back down,
“How hard do you think connecting those two will be?”
He questioned.
“Should be quite hard.”
Nux shrugged.
“After all, there is no connection between a man who defeated 20,000 mercenaries and the one who took the Black Mission and went to Umbrasol.”
“As I said, you are underestimating them. They do not need any connection, they will find out it was you, one way or the other, so even if you do kill us, nothing will go like you want it to.”
Simba did not back down no matter how absurd his statement sounded even to him.
This was his last resistance against the inevitable.
And honestly, even though he himself didn’t believe his words, Nux knew he was correct. The Supreme Worlds were going to find out about him.
After all, even if there was no connection between a man who defeated 20,000 mercenaries and the one who took the Black Mission and went to Umbrasol, there was a connection between this man and the Leander Family that has been popular lately.
And once the Supreme Worlds start looking into it, it wouldn’t be surprising if they order the Leander Family to present itself in front of them to prove their innocence and of course, the moment the Leander Family rejects their proposal, the ’enemy’ will be clear.
It was indeed only a matter of time before they were caught. Fortunately, Nux didn’t need to prevent it, he simply needed to elongate this ’matter of time’ in question.
The only reason he was acting like this in front of Simba was to get a rough idea as to how quickly the Supreme Worlds are going to find out about this by trying to see what ways Simba comes up with.
After all, if someone like Simba could create a link between him and Umbrasol, no matter how weak the link was, the Supreme Worlds should be able to do just fine as well.
“So? Do you have any loved ones here, the ones you wish to protect?”
Suddenly, Nux questioned.
“…what?”
Simba blinked, soon however, his eyes were filled with even more hate and,
“Do your worst, I won’t say a wor—”
“Hold your lions, Lionhead.”
Nux waved his hand, making him silent using Absolute Kinesis.
He then looked into Simba’s eyes and with a solemn look on his face, he began,
“The faction behind me is going to destroy Nexus, most people here would not survive it.”
The instant he said those words, Simba’s face turned pale. Even Arshia was horrified, but Nux continued,
“You two are one of the few I do not wish to harm and even though there is not much I can do, I can let you and the people you care about live.”
“Nux…”
Arshia called out, a little unsure.
But then—
“Don’t believe him, he is lying to get information ou—”
“Oh fuck it.”
In the end, Nux just cursed.
He then immobilized both Simba and Arshia, grabbed Simba’s head, and started reading his memories.
The two couldn’t even resist since Nux even took their ability to speak. Within a few minutes, after reading Simba’s memories, Nux stared at this man, somewhat annoyed and impressed,
“The fuck were you acting tough for if you don’t have anyone you care about?”
“…”
Simba couldn’t say anything.
“Tsk.”
Nux snorted.
He then turned towards Arshia and—
“Do you want me to read your memories, or are you going to say it yourself?”
“I-I have no one else I care about in this world either…”
“Are they in any other mercenary world?”
Nux questioned.
“I-Is your faction going to destroy m-more—”
“Just answer my question.”
“N-No.”
Arshia shook her head and Nux quickly waved his hand, teleported the two of them away and, with that,
“Attack.”
He passed the orders and—
In an instant, Mercenary Worlds all over the Universe had their strongest leaders slaughtered without being able to show any resistance.
The terrorist attack had begun.
BOOOOOOOM
