Chapter 1471: Reinforcements

Chapter 1471: Reinforcements

Harley didn’t expect that Elaine would receive such an important position. As one of the twelve pillars, Harley knew precisely the importance of this position.

At the same time, he understood why Noel actually gave this position to her. Elaine was indeed a unique woman. Thanks to her, all the policies and laws had been on point. By giving her this position, she would definitely do her best to develop the law.

As a result, Noel would be more comfortable in expanding.

There was a different reason Noel gave this position to Elaine. Anna also once mentioned that she was known as the Sage. Her wisdom far surpassed anyone in the kingdom, so giving her this power was the same as allowing her to develop her talents to their full potential.

Harley thought the attack on the Lesen family was a big blow to the Ardagan family due to Elaine’s existence. For Noel, this was actually a blessing. Noel could actually acquire such a talent just by helping her.

That was right. Even the Affection Medal confirmed it.

Name: Elaine Lesen

Affection: 100 (Loyal)

Description: She will be loyal to you for life as long as you remain the same.

Elaine’s loyalty had been hovering around 70-80 points. It was normal to have that number due to the previous conflict between their families.

Elaine herself was already loyal, but she had some reservations when it came to full loyalty. One part of her was wondering if she would be accepted due to their past conflict. The other part was showing her fear of judgment from the others.

However, there was no need to be afraid anymore. Noel wasn’t afraid of anyone’s judgment when raising her rank. Even if it meant people would be dissatisfied, Elaine’s promotion remained.

In that case, there was no need to hesitate anymore. Elaine swore in her heart that she would make the Ardagan family the best in the world.

There would come a day when a sage was born. Her name would be spread all around the world, and her wisdom would be studied by everyone in the world who wished to walk the same path.

But right now, Noel simply gave her the space to grow to that stage.

Noel stood up and waved his hand. "Rose!"

"I’m here." Rose entered the office.

"Call Rui right now."

"All right." Rose nodded. It didn’t take five minutes before Rui appeared in front of Noel.

"Is there something wrong?" Rui asked while glancing around.

Elaine was confused because she had never seen this person.

"Aren’t you bored? After coming here, there’s not much you can do." Noel smiled wryly.

"!!!" Rui raised her eyebrows. "Do you mean it’s time for me to reveal myself?"

"Not exactly, but I need your power."

"Understood. Where’s the battlefield?"

Noel extended his hand, introducing Elaine. "This is Elaine Lesen, the Pillar of Justice. Right now, her hometown is being attacked by an ancient demon.

"You are to take Division 1 and Division 2 along with the First Rune Mage Unit with you. I want you to protect the Lesen family and defeat the ancient demon. Are you up to it?"

Rui was surprised. "Has the final battle arrived?"

"This is just a prelude."

Rui nodded. "In that case, I should focus on killing that monster to weaken them."

"That’s the plan." Noel agreed before introducing Rui to Elaine. "This is Rui. One of the hidden cards of the Ardagan family. She is our hidden spirit transcendence.

"You must be worried about your family. That’s why you may follow her there. However, you will be a messenger this time.

"Relay my message to your father. I have forgiven him and decided to allow him to return to the family. But if you choose to fight me again, the Ardagan family will spare no effort to erase the Lesen’s bloodline."

Elaine gasped. She never thought there was such a card. At the same time, Noel was so kind as to lend her this card. In addition, Noel actually forgave his father and allowed him to return.

Noel must have realized that while her brother was quite capable, he hadn’t grown strong enough to protect the territory from such a threat. Only her father could save the territory.

Elaine hurriedly lowered her head. "T-Thank you very much, my lord. I will not disappoint you."

Rui, on the other hand, turned to Rose. "If I go by myself, I can reach there in a few hours. But we need numbers to fight the ancient demon. There must be a few superior demons as well, so the army is necessary.

"If we go by train, how long will it take to reach their territory?"

"Hmm..." Rose carefully calculated it. "About 18 hours, but that means no transit."

"If we also calculate the deployment... One day, huh?" Rui thought for a moment. "The devastation will be quite big."

Elaine, of course, was prepared for this level of damage. It couldn’t be helped because the distance was quite far. Still, the damage shouldn’t be too bad, to the point where it would destroy the family. Although they would face some hard times, they could bounce back in a few years.

However, Noel asked with a simple smile. "What are you talking about? I’ll allow you to use the Falcon."

"Falcon?!" Harley, Rose, and Elaine dropped their jaws.

Harley looked down, mumbling, "There are three types of airships. They are Eagle, Hawk, and Falcon. Eagle is the largest. They’re capable of bringing thousands of people at once. If we load it with weapons, it can be a battleship in the air. However, the speed is quite slow, which is not suitable for this situation.

"Hawk is a medium-sized airship. It is an all-rounder. The family’s main ship is of this type. It has both speed and size.

"Last but not least, Falcon. It might be small, but it should be able to bring at least a few hundred elite soldiers. If we use it there, we can reach the destination within 2 hours."

Elaine gulped down. Her family could be saved with minimal damage at that. Elaine clenched her hands into fists, swearing to repay this kindness.

"Assemble them and depart immediately."
