Chapter 1612: Lethal Weapon

Incetta struck the ancient demon before her. The ancient demon blocked it before releasing its energy toward her, launching her far away.

Incetta ultimately changed her weapon and slashed it in two before turning the sword back to the spear form. She swung her spear a couple of times, killing the surrounding demons.

"Miss!"

A lady rushed toward her. The lady was not an ordinary one, as she was a spirit grandmaster.

She was once part of the Ardagan family’s army. She ended up following Incetta when she was granted territory.

"What’s wrong?" Incetta asked.

While they were cutting down the demons around them, the woman gave a report. "Grand Duke has sent us a message. According to him, there’s a high chance that you need to advance forward and head west and leave the battlefield to Tristan."

"Is he crazy? There is an ancient demon before us..." Incetta furrowed her eyebrows, but she remembered what Rui mentioned earlier.

If Tristan really possessed a weapon that could kill an ancient demon, she might be able to leave this battlefield for her.

Incetta fell silent for a moment before asking, "What’s the situation over there?"

"Apparently, 8 ancient demons have been spotted, including this one. There is an indication that more ancient demons will come as well as the demon kings."

Incetta was concerned. Vivi crossed her arms while examining the battlefield. "So, there are at least 7 ancient demons other than this. Meanwhile, we only have you, Rui, Saintess Layla, Phantom, and one hidden card that is rumored to be his parent. There are only 5 of us here, so if more ancient demons are coming..."

’Probably, Marshal Conrad is going to be mobilized right away. Duke Lorelei will definitely join the battle. However, if more ancient demons are going to come, it’s going to overwhelm us, considering Master Anna has brought our main airships. We can’t use the airships to handle the ancient demons.’

Vivi furrowed her eyebrows. She didn’t know how many more demons would come, but it was clear that the decisive attack was about to arrive.

Vivi explained, "I think we should go right now. The situation will be unfavorable if we’re too late. We can only force Tristan to release his trump card."

Incetta had no other choice but to agree to this arrangement. This was the only way they could win.

"Understood." She nodded and rushed toward Tristan’s city.

"Sir Tristan!" The woman shouted after climbing the wall. "Where is Sir Tristan? I am Anella, the deputy commander of the Star Navy."

"This is Captain Renter. Sir Tristan is on the north wall!"

"Thank you." Anella rushed to the north wall and announced, "Sir Tristan. I brought the news from my master, Incetta."

"Go on!" Tristan replied out loud.

Anella first dashed toward him and relayed the message.

"I see. It looks like the situation has reached this point." Tristan’s expression turned solemn. "Sandra!"

"Yes?!" Sandra was a killer maid, so she was here to ensure Tristan’s safety as well as being his messenger.

"Bring out the suicide squad."

"Suicide squad?" Anella was dumbfounded. She never thought Tristan would prepare such a dangerous thing.

Besides, what kind of suicide squad would be enough to fight against an ancient demon?

"Miss Anella. Even though I call them a suicide squad, it just means they’re ready to die, not that they should die. If you can escort them and ensure their safety, they can return to the battlefield one more time."

Anella didn’t understand, but Sandra had returned with a group of twenty people.

These twenty people had covered their faces. Their strength was at most spirit wielders, but they had been covered with rune body and other rune technology, comparable to that of a rune mage.

Incetta thought for a moment. It would take time for Incetta to kill an ancient demon, so she asked, "Can you kill it fast?"

The ancient demon first attacked them, but Incetta activated her power and formed a sword wave that engulfed the attack.

"Go!" Incetta shouted.

The suicide squad split up, moving according to their original plan.

"Group A, begin!" Aluarkan commanded out loud.

Three people from Group A had reached the right side of the ancient demon and taken out their so-called lethal weapons.

"Executioner Rune. Activate!"
