Chapter 1016 - 1016: The Azothralls’ Goal [Part 1]
Tristan and Douglas made their way back to Casimir City, while Hans decided to stay behind, sticking to his duty to protect Zion.
After hearing that the teenage boy had stayed behind, Princess Xynalia dragged her unwilling sister, Princess Laventia, to the residence of House Pavareth, intending to have a chat with him.
At first, the Prince wanted to reject his visitors, but after Princess Xynalia whispered something in his ear, the Crown Prince of House Pavareth decided it would be best to let the two enter their residence, lest rumors spread among the members of their alliance.
“You’re really a smart person, Prince Valen,” Princess Xynalia said. “I like working with smart people.”
“I’m sure you do,” Prince Valen replied. “But you better keep your promise.”
“Of course. We succubi keep our words. Isn’t that right, sister?” Princess Xynalia glanced at Princess Valentia, who was walking three steps behind her.
“Yeah,” Princess Laventia replied casually, not really wanting to be where the devil Zion was.
She believed that if Princess Xynalia saw what she saw, she wouldn’t be actively seeking the teenage boy, whose cruelty was now etched in the hearts of every Jinn on the continent.
“By the way, where is Zion right now?” Princess Xynalia asked.
“He’s currently talking to my sister about the matters of the alliance,” Prince Valen replied.
“Sure. If you say so~” Princess Xynalia said in a teasing tone.
Prince Valen then ordered one of his subordinates to call for her sister and Zion, who were currently in the guest room.
He decided that it was best if he kept an eye out for Princess Xynalia because he was certain that the succubus was up to no good!
Several minutes later, Princess Aracelle and Zion appeared in the living room.
“What are you doing here, you two vixens?” Princess Aracelle didn’t mince her words and immediately confronted the two succubi.
Her intuition was telling her that the two didn’t come to their residence to talk to her or her brother.
She was certain that the pair of sisters had come for Zion.
“Oh dear, is this how House Pavareth treats their guests?” Prince Xynalia smiled.
“Guests?” Princess Aracelle replied in disdain. “More like pests. Are you perhaps competing with House Azrakith for the best pest of the year award? If yes, then you are definitely doing the right thing.”
Princess Xynalia giggled because the lofty and arrogant princess of House Pavareth wasn’t the cold beauty that she had been once before.
As a succubus, she was able to tell that the princess was no longer a chaste maiden, which made the smile on her face widen.
“You are a very capable person, Zion,” Princess Xynalia said. “How did you manage to tame such a cold-hearted woman?”
“I didn’t tame her,” Thirteen replied as he sat on the chair beside Princess Aracelle.
“Oh, then did she tame you instead?” Princess Xynalia asked with great curiosity.
“Enough!” Princess Aracelle glared at the pests that had come to disturb her quality time with Zion. “I believe our two factions aren’t this close. Why have you come here?”
“Of course, I’ve come for him,” Princess Xynalia winked at Zion. “I want to have a private talk with the person who made this temporary alliance possible. Of course, depending on our discussion in private, that temporary alliance might become a permanent one.”
Prince Valen arched an eyebrow. “Will the Velmoria Royal Family really form a permanent alliance with the Wanderers even if the rest of the Jinn Faction don’t?”
Princess Xynalia shrugged. “The Velmoria Royal Family has always taken a neutral stand on everything. Other Jinn Factions may not be able to pull it off, but it is one of the rules of our family. The Jinns knew this as well, so although they won’t like it, they will still turn a blind eye to it.”
Prince Valen couldn’t refute the princess’ words, knowing it was true.
The Succubus Race of Gomorra got along well with everyone and was the only neutral party among the factions that had crossed over Pangea.
“I won’t beat around the bush,” Princess Xynalia stated. “I just want to talk to Zion in private. After that, I’ll leave.”
“You’re not going to use your charm spell on him, right?” Princess Aracelle eyed the succubus coldly, fearing this was the true reason that Princess Xynalia had come to their residence.”
“Even if I do, I feel like it won’t work on him,” Princess Xynalia replied. “That’s what my intuition is telling me.”
But just as Zion was about to give his reply, one of Prince Valen’s subordinates hurried to his side and whispered something in his ear.
Immediately, the prince’s expression turned grim as he shared the news that he had just received from his subordinate.
“Four Azothralls have appeared at the gates of the city, and they wish to meet the leaders of the Jinn Factions,” Prince Valen said, making everyone look in Zion’s direction.
“Looks like they have become smarter,” Thirteen said. “But maybe they’ve come here for a different reason.”
Thirteen glanced at Princess Aracelle, which made Prince Valen’s eyes widen in shock.
“Are you saying that…” Prince Valen’s face turned pale after realizing what Zion was hinting at.
“They might have other reasons for coming,” Thirteen replied. “If they are here, I’m sure they want to negotiate for a temporary truce or an alliance with you guys. Of course, I believe that they will ask for a price… a price that some Jinns would be willing to give.”
Princess Xynalia frowned because the Azothralls came at the wrong time. She knew that she could no longer have a private talk with Zion at the moment because she and the other leaders of the Jinns needed to meet the representatives of the enemies that they wanted to eliminate.
“Stay here,” Prince Valen said as he stared at his sister. “Understand?”
“Yes, brother,” Princess Aracelle replied. “I’ll listen to you.”
Prince Valen, Princess Xynalia, and Princess Laventia left the residence in haste, so they could be there when the Azothralls stated their purpose for coming.
Thirteen then reached out to hold Princess Aracelle’s hand. “Be ready to escape at any time.”
He then shifted his attention to Hans, who was standing behind him.
“Hans, stay close to me,” Thirteen ordered. “If things go south, Rocky will immediately take the three of us inside his mobile fortress and make a run for it.”
“Yes, Young Master,” Hans replied.
The teenage boy had already thought of the possibility of the Azothralls making contact with the Jinns and the Wanderers to offer them an olive branch.
Of course, they wouldn’t do it without anything in return.
For the Azothralls, the thing they lacked the most was numbers.
The best way to solve that problem was to go to either the Jinns or the Wanderers and ask for some tribute, which would be none other than the ladies who possessed divine and holy powers.
However, after connecting with Athena, Thirteen’s face became solemn.
The Azothralls had not only sent four of their numbers to the Jinns, but they also sent four of them to the human race.
Clearly, they wanted to negotiate with both sides and see if one of them would bite the bait.
But Thirteen knew that the Azothralls had another option.
If the negotiations didn’t push through, he was certain that the alien-like monsters would throw caution to the wind and immediately attack Casimir City and the City of Velmusa.
Their goal? To capture the ladies who would be the key to increasing their numbers, making them an unstoppable force that both Wanderers and Jinns wouldn’t be able to defeat even if they were to work together as a team.
