Chapter 1018 - 1018: The Azothralls’ Goal [Part 3]

Casimir City…

“I can’t believe those Azothralls came to Casimir City,” Erica said. “If Zion were here, he would have definitely dealt with them by now.”

“I know.” Shana nodded.

She was still shaken about the Azothralls demanding the human race to specifically offer her as a sacrificial offering in exchange for their alliance with the human race.

Roland and the other members of the party were among the people who met with the Azothralls earlier.

Naturally, the young man was enraged when the Azothrall demanded that Shana be given to them as a peace offering.

If not for the fact that he was weaker than the Rank 8 Sovereign, he would have already attacked them.

After the negotiations failed, he immediately went to look for Shana and assured her that the Wanderers would not yield to the Azothralls’ demands.

Trevor Remington and Wendell Elrod, the two Monarchs guarding the city, also didn’t think twice before rejecting the monsters’ proposal, then asked them to leave at once.

Both Monarchs thought a fight would happen right away.

But to their surprise, the Azothralls left without saying another word.

This made the Wanderers very uneasy. They knew that things weren’t that simple, but at the same time, their radar couldn’t detect the Azothralls until they made their appearance.

Clearly, they were traveling underground to hide their presence from the ever-watching eyes of the Wanderers.

Suddenly, Shana pushed Erica and Sherry away before jumping to the side.

A moment later, the ground under her feet burst open, revealing the head of an Azothrall, which immediately locked its attention on the Saintess.

Just as the Azothrall was about to grab her, a portal opened in front of the young lady, and Khan jumped out to tackle the alien monster.

The room where Shana stayed was immediately destroyed as the two monsters wrestled with each other.

“Get out of here, now!” Khan shouted as he pummeled the face of the Azothrall, who was stronger than he expected.

Shana didn’t hesitate and left the room as fast as she could.

Erica and Sherry followed right behind her.

“Come, Mors!” Sherry summoned her Armored Blade Panther, Mors, which took the three girls outside of the residential building.

But as soon as they stepped outside, the ground beside Shana’s feet burst open, and a black, alien-like hand reached out to grab her.

“Oh no, you don’t!” Harahon stepped out of the portal and grabbed the hand about to catch his Master’s lover.

Zed also stepped out of the portal and carried Shana like a princess before taking off to the sky.

Two more Azothralls burst out of the ground.

They crouched down, and four pairs of wings sprouted from their backs.

The two immediately pursued Zed to the sky, and their speed was only slightly slower than the fastest winged monster in Zion’s army.

Not long later, the two Azothralls that Khan and Harahon were fighting also took flight and left the scene to follow their comrades.

“Damn it!” Harahon cursed. “Erica, Master is also preoccupied right now, so mobilize the army to follow those Azothralls!”

Without another word, Harahon and Khan entered the portal that sent them back to the Domain of the Apocalypse.

Both of them would wait for an opportunity to save their Master’s lover, who was currently being chased by four Rank 8 Sovereigns.

Half a minute later, Roland, Trevor, and Wendell arrived at the scene.

Erica didn’t mince her words and explained everything that happened earlier.

As soon as the two Monarchs understood the situation, they summoned their flying avatars to follow their enemies.

The rest of the Hero Party also arrived at the scene, and after hearing what happened, they also summoned their Flying Avatars to take flight.

“Sherry, tell Sir Renz what happened here,” Erica said. “I’m going with them!”

Without another word, a pair of flaming wings appeared behind her back.

Sherry could only watch the young lady leave, leaving trails of flames in her wake.

“I need to do what I have to do,” Sherry muttered as he punched a few keys on her communicator to contact Renz Elrod.

It didn’t take long before the sound of fighter jets reverberated over the city as they were mobilized to assist the Monarchs in protecting the Saintess.

While this was happening, Metatron watched this scene with an amused expression on his face.

Two projections were in front of him.

One of the projections showed Rocky, while the other showed Zed, carrying Shana in his arms.

“Well, then. I wonder how this will end,” Metatron muttered as he swirled the wine in his glass, clearly enjoying the show that was happening in front of him. “I wonder if those two bastards will do something to help their precious Wanderer.”

The God of the Apocalypse was referring to Laplace Demon and The One, whom he believed was also monitoring the situation on the continent.

A chase in both land and air was currently happening, and Zion was involved in both of them.

Metatron understood that the teenage boy would fight tooth and nail to protect his lovers, but the enemy wasn’t an easy opponent.

In fact, the other Azothralls who were both lurking within the territory of the Wanderers and the Jinns had started to move after hearing the reports of their comrades.

Thirteen’s forces were stretched thin, but the teenage boy still kept his calm.

High above the clouds, floating in outer space, Athena’s lenses locked in on the Azothralls that were pursuing Zed and Shana.

Its concentrated beam attack was like a nuke, which could destroy an entire city.

However, since it could hurt its allies, Athena needed to use a scatter shot in order to target only the Azothralls.

Thirteen and Rocky were escaping deep underground, so Shana’s situation was given priority.

Athena had informed her Master about Shana’s situation, and the teenage boy didn’t hesitate to give an order to eliminate the four Azothralls that were pursuing his lover.

After confirming her orders, Athena’s main cannon channeled the power of the sun and unleashed an attack that rained down on the monsters who dared to target the people her Master held sacred.
