Chapter 1163: Clash Of Titans [Part 2]
It was very obvious why King Astrion had decided to bring the battle to their side of the battlefield.
Although he was alone, he was still a High-Archon strapped from head to toe with Artemian Technology.
He had intended to unleash an area-of-effect attack in order to kill as many Wanderers and Jinns as possible.
But how could Thirteen not predict such an obvious move?
Cranky had been waiting for this moment and didn’t hesitate to clash with his opponent before King Astrion could approach their side.
The Naga Patriarch gritted his teeth as he activated the spell that had posed a problem to Camazotz, limiting his speed during their previous battle.
As soon as the Artemian King stepped into the range of the magic circle, which increased the gravity in the surroundings, his movements faltered.
Cranky didn’t miss that opportunity and landed a solid hit on the Artemian King’s chest, which sent the latter crashing to the ground.
At least, that was what was supposed to happen.
Cranky’s strike had been unfortunately blocked by a barrier emitted by the Artemian King’s armor, preventing the Honey Badger from dealing first blood.
Although it was a shame, Thirteen had already expected that their enemy would have many life-saving artifacts on his person.
When the Artemians descended on the Arcadian Archipelago, Camazotz almost died because the enemy general’s armor had a reflection ability, which injured the Death Bat every time he landed a blow on his enemy.
The teenage boy had been certain that the Artemian King’s armor would have something similar, so he had imbued a rune on Cranky’s armor that nulled reflection damage.
In fact, Cranky’s armor had countless runes imbued in it, which would activate when certain conditions were met.
The Honey Badger was the key to winning this battle.
Thirteen understood that in the face of absolute strength, all tricks were meaningless.
But in his eyes, the Artemian King didn’t have absolute strength.
So the tricks he prepared weren’t meaningless!
“Wanderers, initiate Plan A!” Renz’s command sounded loud and clear from the communicators of the Wanderers.
Thirteen glanced at the Wanderer Army, led by the Monarchs and the Thrones, who all circled toward the right side of the Artemian Formation.
“Dragonkins, rally to me!” Prince Aurelion roared as he charged straight at the middle of the enemy formation.
“House Pavareth, to war!” Princess Xynalia ordered.
“Azrakith court! Annihilate them!” Prince Xylen.
“Strength Beyond Death!” Prince Zorren raised his sword and led the charge of the armies that were on the ground.
Similar to the Wanderers, the Skavari and the Azrakith Court also charged at the right side of the Artemian Army, while the rest attacked at the middle.
As for the left side?
Erasmus and Azoh’Dar, who had formed an elite unit, burst out from the round and attacked the rear of the Artemian formation.
Countless undead joined the battle, allowing Azoh’Dar and the Azothralls under his command to attack the Artemian Support at the back, who were nearly defenseless.
Suddenly, dozens of Jinns were blown away as one of the generals of the Artemian Army, the one wielding a war hammer, led a counter-attack.
While the Allied Army had the advantage in numbers, the Artermians still had seven Archons within their army, which could offset sheer numbers.
The Earth Dragons were dealing with Azoh’Karn deep underground, which left the Artemians six more Archons to take charge of their forces while their King fought against their strongest enemy.
“Traitorous pawn, you dare bite the hand that made you?!” an Artemian General wielding a great sword, charged at Azoh’Dar, who was busy killing the support personnel of the Artemian Army.
“I am no longer a pawn!” Azoh’Dar shouted back. “I am fighting for my freedom!”
“I had enough of your ramblings!” the General slashed his sword toward Azoh’Dar, who hurriedly backed away to evade it.
The impact of the sword strike was so strong that it left a trail of jagged trenches carved deep into the ground, as if the earth itself had been cleaved apart by the General’s wrath.
“Azoh’Dar!” one of the Named Azothralls shouted and ran toward their leader.
“Stay back!” Azoh’Dar, who had managed to dodge the attack at the last moment, signaled his companion to focus on his own battle. “I’ll handle him!”
“Keep dreaming!” the Artemian General sneered as his armor’s special function activated, allowing him to move incredibly fast for a brief period of time.
He understood that the sooner he dealt with the traitorous Azothrall, the sooner he would be able to help his comrades deal with the Majin Princes and Majin Princess, who were facing off against the other Archons.
Just as he was only dozens of meters away from his target, the Artemian General immediately dodged to his right side, just in time to evade a breath attack that came from the Wyvern King, Vannaroth.
Although that level of attack wouldn’t be able to kill him, the General would still be injured if he were directly hit by that sneak attack.
“Are you alright, Azoh’Dar?” Erasmus, who was mounted on the back of the Wyvern King, asked.
“My thanks, Erasmus,” Azoh’Dar replied. “It is unfortunate, but I am unable to defeat him on my own.”
“Understandable,” Erasmus nodded before shifting his gaze to the Artemian General. “My name is Erasmus. Remember it, so when you go to the afterlife, you will know the name of the person who killed you.”
“The name is Norton,” the Artemian General scoffed. “The one who will be dying is you, Undead. ”
“Well, you’re not as smart as you look.” Erasmus sneered. “I am already dead, so it will take more than killing me to kill me.”
“We’ll see how long you can say such nonsense.” Norton could tell that Erasmus was definitely a variable that needed to be eliminated at all costs.
Those who had died on both sides were being raised by the Lord of Death to serve as its forces to fight in this war.
’I need to kill him first before I deal with the Azothrall,’ Norton thought.
The blade on the general’s hand glowed silver, making Erasmus frown.
“Do you feel it?” Norton smirked. “This is the reason why you will die in my hands.”
The General was blessed with Holy Magic, which was the bane of all Undead Creatures, as well as some evil spirits.
Even the Wyvern King roared in anger as it faced Norton with the intent to kill.
All across the battlefield, the powerhouses of both sides were fighting tooth and nail with each other.
Whoever managed to defeat a powerhouse first would gain an advantage in the war that would go down in the history books of Pangea.
