Chapter 1155: The King of Light and Darkness II
Chapter 1155: The King of Light and Darkness II
Barraz felt, deep in his heart, that there were no chances for him if he were hit by the singularity of light and darkness launched in his direction.
Light was naturally the enemy of every demon, as was his case. He had some resistance, depending on the power of the adversary manipulating light and how refined the enemy’s element was.
In particular, in Hell, light was greatly restricted, with almost no places where the element could be found or even manipulated.
Even so, a little of the element was enough to make someone, even as strong as this Devil, fearful.
Light was not exactly a common element in the universe. That is, there were very few beings capable of following its path. So anyone able to do more than a ’trick’ with the element would be regarded with great caution by negative beings. This alone would be enough to frighten Barraz in this situation.
But after Vicente conquered the power of the Law of Darkness, the darkness that Barraz had relied on in his journey as his main magical base was making him feel even worse than regarding light!
At that exact moment, Barraz wanted to flee. But as the singularity approached him, all he could do was watch in horror as time passed without being able to do anything.
His movements were completely paralyzed, while his soul suddenly lost its previously very solid foundation.
In a second, the powerful Devil went from being a grand high-level Transcendent to showing himself as weak as a Grand Magus!
Jelgos and Mylecent watched the sudden change in the situation in astonishment, both having already moved away from the enemy’s vicinity, curiously untouched by Vicente’s extreme powers.
Vicente smiled as he saw the horrified look of the enemy who was now without hope. ’Lucky for us, he based his path on the Law of Darkness. If that weren’t the case, I alone wouldn’t be enough.’
Vicente watched the union of darkness and light reach Barraz, swallowing the four-eyed demon, while part of the surroundings lost all its light to the darkness and the other became as bright as a star.
Kong, Mylecent, and Jelgos were forced to protect their eyes from the light, and Vicente was the only one able to see the result of his new capabilities.
For an instant, two giants, one with a white silhouette and the other with a black silhouette, materialized on the sides of Barraz, each striking the other with an open palm.
Barraz was at the center of the attack from the two entities, on one side weakened by the Law of Darkness, and on the other being consumed by light.
His body was destroyed physically and spiritually over the course of five breaths, without him being able to express any sound of pain or even a sign of regret, anger, or resentment. His own will, soul, and existence were gradually annihilated from reality, not even leaving his infernal crown behind.
Vicente’s movement was so extreme that the surrounding space collapsed, with half of Barraz’s palace crumbling and even the undead of Vice’s allies being erased from existence.
Only the three who had Vicente’s protection were unaffected, able to be present to witness the birth of a new infernal expert!
They did not see or understand everything that had happened. But at that moment, when they felt Barraz’s end, the three were certain that they were witnessing the emergence of a new demonic monarch!
In particular, this was the ’birth’ of the father, but also the nemesis of darkness!
“Incredible!” Mylecent murmured as she approached Vicente, moments after the effects of the light and darkness movement lost its maximum power. “I didn’t think you could do something so incredible just with the control of a broken law!”
Jelgos couldn’t help but feel the same as Mylecent, looking at Vicente in a completely new light.
“It seems we were almost entirely unnecessary,” he said in a lower tone.
Vicente shook his head as he relaxed, letting out a sigh of relief and fatigue. “That doesn’t really reflect reality.” He showed where the enemy had disappeared. “Barraz seemed extremely weak just now… Would it be strange for a peak Sorcerer to easily eliminate a Grand Magus?”
Mylecent and Jelgos frowned, reanalyzing what had just happened.
The two were experienced and intelligent. They realized where Vicente was going in an instant.
“Did you really corrode his magical existence so much?” The woman asked for extra confirmation.
Vicente replied with a smile. “There are tough enemies. And there are easy enemies. In the end, we all have our own characteristics that make us stronger or weaker under certain conditions.”
Barraz wanted to obtain the power of the Law of Darkness, an incomplete law, not only for the rarity of accessing something like that. The power of the demon had been built based on the Law of Darkness, which gave him more chances of success in conquering it, but also better results, in case of success.
To his misfortune, someone more capable and compatible had arisen in his path, not only taking an absolute law from him but also using it to take everything he had achieved throughout his long life in Hell!
Now Vicente could be considered the King of Darkness, the ultimate holder of darkness, capable of controlling the element to the point of weakening his enemies, even when they were stronger than him!
Vicente said, now more seriously. “We were lucky that Barraz was very compatible with darkness. He was severely weakened when I succeeded because of that. If it weren’t for that, everything would have been more complicated…”
“So you’re not yet as strong as high-level Transcendents?” Kong questioned as he appeared next to Vicente, a little regretful.
If Vicente could handle any high-level threat from now on, then their chances of succeeding in their plans had far surpassed even the best hopes of the old white dragon!
Jelgos and Mylecent already knew the answer without needing to hear from Vicente.
“Not yet… But I’m not far. With my cultivation at the peak of the 9th stage and the power of light strengthened by Barraz’s artifact, I can pull off some tricks. That’s for sure.”
“Well, better than nothing.” Jelgos smiled for the first time, before making a gesture of respect. “Congratulations on your advancement and victory, Vicente. I don’t know what your intentions are from now on, but I’m at your disposal to assist you until my master calls me back.”
Vicente appreciated the words. Although Lothur had ordered Jelgos to accompany him, it was a different situation to have a companion committed of his own free will.
Mylecent didn’t comment on the disposition of Lothur’s subordinate, changing the subject. “Well, winning is good. But now that Barraz is finished, we have to move and think about new steps.”
She hadn’t thought that things with Barraz would end so quickly and easily, but she already had in mind subsequent challenges after the victory.
She, of course, hadn’t planned her own death and was prepared for victory.
“For now, my greatest enemy is dead,” Mylecent continued. “But Barraz had his contacts. Besides, what just happened will attract the attention of many Devils, especially the ’hyenas’ that will come to take advantage of the enemy’s group remains. Finally, achieving our objective doesn’t pass just through an enemy of Barraz’s caliber.”
Vicente nodded in agreement, before indicating where the group should go. “Let’s get away first. We’ll talk about our next steps before our separation when it’s safe.”
Everyone agreed, leaving the ruined territory in that region.
