Ten Lucky Draws: I Became OP

Chapter 202: Power Begets Power - Live Broadcast

Chapter 202: Power Begets Power – Live Broadcast

The Realm of Laws wasn’t quite as mythical as its name suggested—nothing like grand cathedrals of light or endless libraries of glowing tomes.

Instead, it was a sprawling, unending hall of stark stone, fading into a pale, shimmering horizon.

The floor was a flawless sweep of polished marble, laced with delicate silver veins that throbbed gently, like the slow pulse of something alive.

It had not been long since the top ten had arrived here… merely a few weeks.

During this time, Sunya and Jester observed the eight Originats, who seemed to take this ordinary place for granted. For two weeks straight, they watched as the group moved from altar to altar in what appeared to be a random pattern.

It was wild—they didn’t even try to truly understand the Law, and none of them lingered at an altar for more than a few minutes. Even though the two noticed, it wasn’t their place to say anything.

If they played with their opportunities, then so be it.

What they didn’t realize was that the Originats weren’t moving randomly at all. They were being deliberately guided by their nexuses, which revealed specific laws for them to understand in order to improve themselves.

As for the short time spent at each Altar, with the strength of their bloodlines, grasping simple laws was no challenge. Plus, their bloodline encompassed so many others that it was easy to pick up most of these laws.

And currently the eight of them stood in front of Sunya and Jester.

“I hope you all made the most of your time here,” Jester said, his eyeglass catching the light.

“This place only opens once every few centuries…” Sunya added, waving her hand to summon a portal.

“Keep growing stronger, and I hope one day you’ll reach the peak of your potential.”

With those final words, Sunya sent the group through the portal.

The moment they appeared, Eldran and the other elders hurried toward them. Eldran wore a tense expression as he looked at the group.

“Did… did you guys already finish?” he stammered.

“Uhh, we did,” Nia replied, not understanding why they all looked so panicked. Thalion, picking up on this, frowned as he glanced over the many timelines and began calculating.

The moment he did, he nearly passed out.

’Oh no…’ he thought, before sending mental messages to all the Originats.

’We are…. fucked!’

His words made all the Originat turn to him at once, eyes narrowing in suspicion.

They could tell something was wrong just from the panic in his voice. Before anyone could even ask, he started explaining, and Eldran cut in.

“Shit… let’s move now!” Eldran bellowed to the Elders and the remaining survivors.

His panic came from one simple fact—the reinforcements hadn’t arrived, and they were still months away from reaching this place.

As they all began to move Thalion’s voice entered their minds.

’The moment we leave this world… we’ll be under siege by seven factions. The reason is unclear, but in some timelines, I’ve seen disputes over Sonna’s Paragon Harp.’

Hearing this, Sonna’s heart skipped a beat…

’So… this is because of me?’ She asked

’Not at all…’ Thalion said before he continued.

’The worst part of it all… an Eternal Clan is waiting. Apparently… His Majesty has a galaxy-wide bounty on his head!’

Those words made nearly all the Originats stumble…

——

As the Myriad Sect of Races headed toward their starships, two figures emerged in the Nocturne Galaxy. It was clearly Ash and Raven, both wearing expressions of barely restrained fury. It was not hard for Ash to find this place… he simply used Stellar Adaptor.

As they stood gazing at the distant stars and far-off worlds, Ash began to speak.

“Are you sure you’re okay with this?”

Raven looked at him and smiled.

“Love, I’ve told you earlier… Being the embodiment of Hollowness makes me entirely Hollow. I have no emotions, no morals, no concern for anything that isn’t connected to you.” As she spoke, her gaze drifted back to the void between worlds.

“So, let us savor this time… call it a date?” She said with a smile that spelled disaster.

Seeing her act like this Ash nearly grew a boner… he smiled and nodded.

“Well, let’s show these guys what happens when an Originat is touched,” he said, waving his hand as he began to tap into his essence of Desire.

Before him, a simple, translucent orb materialized. As soon as it appeared, he placed a hand on it and channeled his mana. It glowed briefly, and then a pulsing red dot came into view.

Seeing this, his smile twisted into something almost demonic. He turned back to Raven and stepped up to stand shoulder to shoulder with her. Holding hands, he counted down.

“3… 2… 1… ACTION!”

——

Out in the void, a lone starship was completely encircled by six others of similar size.

When the Myriad Sect departed the world, they attempted to break away at full speed, but just as Thalion had predicted—and as everyone else had suspected—they were met with exactly what they feared.

There were numerous factions already waiting.

The space beyond the world had been sealed, preventing any starship from moving further once outside. Seeing this, everyone aboard the starship began to panic.

“Eldran… maybe we could try bargaining with them?” a woman elder suggested, watching six figures emerge in the void beyond the other starships.

“Tsk, you can’t honestly believe that would work. The moment we show any weakness, they’ll just take everything anyway,” another replied.

Chatter quickly filled the air as Eldran’s eyes stayed locked on the void, while the Originats clenched their fists.

“I’ll go out and talk,” Eldran said as he headed for the exit.

Once he was gone, the Originat began speaking mentally.

“So, what’s the plan?” Nia was the first to break the silence.

“We could always head back into the Originat Haven… Ash did say we could return in desperate times,” Seris suggested.

Hearing this made the others clench their fists even tighter. Even Seris didn’t want to bring it up, but it had to be said.

They hated the thought of it—how would they look after receiving so much and returning without doing the one thing he’d asked of them?

Create branches… and spread their name.

In the end, they all agreed. They wouldn’t run, and fighting would be pointless.

“Alright… if the plan doesn’t work, we enter the Haven,” Vaeloria said.

Outside the starship, Eldran faced six figures, one of them Toral Voidheart.

“Do you really intend to cross us? The whole galaxy knows we’re a neutral faction,” Eldran said, trying to use the Sect’s reputation as protection.

The only response was a chorus of scoffs.

“Oh, cut the crap, little Eldran,” said a red-skinned woman, shaking her head. “You know there’s nothing you can do. Hand over the resources and walk away alive.”

Four others spoke up, demanding similar things. However, Toral and another human woman remained silent, patiently waiting.

“Tsk, we’re not scared in the slightest. If it’s our prizes you want, you’ll have to come and take them,” Eldran said, summoning a greatsword.

Seeing this Toral’s face grew into a smile.

CLAP

CLAP

He began to clap as he spoke.

“Tough act,” he said, gesturing toward the starship behind Eldran. “But are you really planning to offend an Eternal Clan… the Nocturne Clan?”

As he spoke, another starship seemed to shimmer into existence, though it had been there all along, hidden by a cloak. Atop it lounged Vesper, the Crown Prince, lazily picking his teeth with a dagger.

The sight of the Nocturne Crest made Eldran swallow hard and instinctively step back.

The other four, who had only come for the Conclave’s prize, also edged away—until Vesper’s voice cut through the air.

“Oh, stop trying to run away.” In a flash, he vanished and reappeared right in front of Eldran, skipping any pleasantries—no introductions, no small talk. The crest on his chest spoke volumes.

“You’re harboring eight enemies of my clan. You have two choices… hand them over or die with them.”

“E…eight?” Eldran stammered. Meanwhile, aboard the starship, tension gripped everyone—everyone except the suspects.

Seeing the final person appear as Thalion had predicted, they sprang into action. Silently, they slipped out of the starship using the Laws of Paradox and Space. Materializing behind it, they wasted no time summoning each of the Paragon-ranked artifacts…

The moment they appeared, they channeled mana and countless Laws into their weapons.

Honestly, they had no real plan—didn’t even know what kind of monster had come for them—but they didn’t care.

As their varied Laws flowed into blades, staves, and other arms, they struck all at once, unleashing a massive arc of pure power toward the gathered eight, Eldran among them.

In every timeline Thalion had seen, he would abandon them, so in their eyes, he could die just the same.

HUMMMMM!!!!!!

The arc at one moment was traveling to the group then at the next… It was right above the group.

However, before it could land, it froze as Vesper raised a hand and said,

“There they are…”

Concept of Blood

Concept of Time

Concept of Sealing

In that moment, each of the Originats froze in place. They felt time around them grind to a halt, their bloodlines turn to ice, and even their cores become sealed. Their hearts felt like they could leap out of their chests.

They all shared the same thought…

’Fuck…’

All eyes shifted to the group as Vesper approached. As he drew nearer, his eyes nearly popped from their sockets.

“Oh my… I was planning to kill you all and put your heads on display for that Ash guy,” he said casually, licking his lips.

“But you five have earned yourselves an extra life,” he said, eyeing the Originat women.

“However, before that…”

“ARGH!” The entire group of Originat felt their blood ignite like a supernova.

Vesper appeared before Nia first—the one whose eyes held the most defiance.

SPIT!

He spat directly in her face, then slapped her so hard her left eye exploded into a spray of blood.

She was sent hurtling through space, but before she could collide with the asteroid behind her, a chain of pure blood coiled around her leg, yanking her back toward him.

He wrapped the chain tightly around his hand then used Nia as a weapon. He began to sling her all around attack each of the sealed Originat.

BOOOM!

BOOOOM!

BOOOM!!!!

They were all beginning to be trampled underfoot when he calmly drew a dagger and began cutting the skin of each one.

It was a cold, methodical display for all to see, dragging on for hours until his voice finally broke the silence.

“This is what happens when you defy the Eternal Nocturne Clan… nothing awaits you but death!” he declared, standing over Thalion as his hand glowed with the Concept of Blood.

But before he could make another move, the entire Venia Galaxy—every artifact, ocean, sky, any reflective surface and even those without—

Space itself seemed to twist and warp until it revealed two beings standing side by side in a completely different Void.

No one present could quite grasp what was happening, though one group in specific could recognize one of the figures.

“Ahem… Hello, inhabitants of the Venia Galaxy,” the man said with a light chuckle.

“Well, I’m Ash Originat…”
