Chapter 227: The Veil of Shared Visions

Chapter 227: The Veil of Shared Visions

As the five of them stood here directly at the opening of the universe. It wasn’t like normal universe guarded by a barrier, no It was in the shape of a tilted crown with bottom portion opening like an entrance.

Hanging directly above the opening were pure law essence used to create the words that read…

’Welcome to The Grand Cosmic Prodigy Convergence’

“Oh, looks like the Celestials really made an appearance,” Ash said, speaking with the ease of someone well-acquainted with them.

And indeed, he was—his knowledge made it simple for him to understand the history behind this event. Held once every 5,000 years, it brought together universal beings and factions to mingle, share knowledge, and more.

All of it traced back to one truth, perhaps known only to the leaders of these factions…. and everyone present was a Cosmic Overlord—even Elara.

By now, it was clear no one knew the way forward… so what better way to learn than from other Cosmic Overlords? Every 5,000 years, some of the most powerful beings in the Lower Dimension gather for this event.

“Oh, you speak as if you’re fond of them,” Archie said, rubbing his chin.

“Hmm, I know a thing or two…” Ash replied, striding toward the entrance guarded by Celestials—beings with silver skin traced by faintly pulsing golden veins, like rivers of judgment beneath flawless metallic flesh, and piercing gold eyes that seemed to weigh souls on invisible scales.

This race was regarded as the right hand of the Universal Lord of Universe 28. Ash found them fascinating, as they seemed destined to serve as judges from birth…

[A/N: Ash’s Universe is number 28. I’ll soon drop a Chapter that dives deeper into the Universal Ranks. For now, all Universes are just numbered starting from one, with lower numbers marking the earliest ones to be discovered or claimed.]

Judges of Reality.

They say the birth of their Progenitor made gavels appear across the void, delivering rulings over all existence—eternal mandates meant to balance chaos with unwavering order.

The guards stood in flawless formation—tall, stoic figures draped in robes of woven law that shimmered with every movement, golden halos hovering above like suspended crowns.

As the group drew near, one stepped forward, voice steady and impartial, carrying the weight of a cosmic decree.

“Present your badges for entry.”

Layla stepped forward gracefully, producing four shimmering badges from a spatial ring—two glowing softly with spectator runes, two blazing brighter with participant sigils.

She passed them over in silence, the guards running each through golden-veined palms that gave off a soft hum.

Aurelia strolled in behind, flashing her participation badge with a teasing grin—the emblem sparking in a quick burst of multicolored flames before fading. The lead guard gave a single nod, and the entrance split apart like silent gates.

“Entry granted. Spectators to the Eternal Observance Spires. Participants to the Convergence Paths.”

Layla and Archie shared a knowing look before turning toward a distant spiral of raised platforms, where ancient auras lingered—towering spires of crystalline law hovering in calm clusters, reserved for leaders and elders to watch, discuss, and maybe even plot.

Meanwhile, Elara, Ash, and Aurelia ventured further into the entrance,

The crown’s maw engulfing them in a rush of warm cosmic winds—as the vast spectacle of the Grand Cosmic Convergence revealed itself, endless possibilities blooming at the heart of the universe-turned-festival.

“Actually, it hasn’t been long since the activities began, you three are only a few hours late.”

A female Celestial greeted them with a serene smile, her silver skin shimmering with golden veins, piercing gold eyes warm yet impartial.

She floated gracefully ahead, robes of woven law threads flowing like liquid starlight, guiding them along a vast cosmic road.

It was a luminous pathway of solidified nebula essence that stretched through the void, bridging drifting galaxies, crystalline worlds, and floating structures of impossible architecture, each step echoing faintly with the hum of distant laws harmonizing.

As they walked, the Celestial’s voice flowed gently, bearing the weight of cosmic decree yet softened with a welcoming warmth.

“The first event approaches—the Veil of Shared Visions. All gather beneath a grand dome of galactic splendor.”

“There, each prodigy unveils their greatest vision—the defining moment of their journey.”

“A Law mastered against the tide of fate, a Concept seized in the heart of chaos, a Talent awakened through trial, or an epiphany that transformed their being. These visions take form—seen, felt, and shared—so others may witness, learn, and draw inspiration from the paths of peers across the cosmos.”

The road wound softly through clusters of hanging gardens, where otherworldly trees bore fruits of pure precept essence. It passed floating arenas where mock battles flared like far-off lightning, the air humming with the mingled auras of prodigies arriving from every direction.

Elara, keeping close to Ash with her hand still in his, cast a curious look at Aurelia—faint multicolored flames flickering around her—then gave Ash’s sleeve a gentle tug.

“Ash… how did you two meet? I wouldn’t have guessed you had ties to a Progenitor’s daughter.”

Ash grinned, a mischievous spark flickering in his twin-flame eyes as he gave Elara’s hand a squeeze.

“Oh, she totally stalked me—chasing me across the Venia Galaxy, popping up out of nowhere, disappearing, then showing up again like she owns the place.”

Aurelia’s cheeks flared with vibrant flames, her mismatched eyes narrowing in playful challenge as she scoffed.

“Stalked? Hardly! I wouldn’t have wasted my time if you weren’t keeping my mother from her beauty sleep with all your ridiculous chaos!”

Elara giggled, her voice light and melodic against the cosmic hum, as the pathway opened into the grand pavilion.

The Veil of Shared Visions—its dome a stunning swirl of galaxies and auroras born from the stars—pulsed with the visions of the newly arrived prodigies, eager for the sharing to begin.

“May you all be enlightened,” the Celestial said before vanishing to continue her duties.

The three stared at the pavilion, its dome a dreamlike marvel. A spark lit in Ash’s eyes as a thought crossed his mind.

’Well, let’s see what fun lies ahead before things get… messy.’

Then, aloud,

“Let’s see what’s in store, shall we?”
